Dr. Emily Catherine Mcphillips

I've been going to Dr. McPhillips since the early 90's. I have never felt more comfortable around any doctor. She is right to the point. We even talked about gardening one time. :)

Honest, thorough and to the point. I love going to see her and feel confident that I am in good hands.

I have since switched doctors because she was always rushed and rude. She made me feel like I couldn’t ask her anything because she had more important patients to take care of. There are many doctors out there and now, judging by my experience with my new doctor, much better ones as well.

Avoid Dr. McPhillips like your life depends on it (because it might.) She is the embodiment of negligence - for example, referred my mother to a horribly expensive therapist (one of her cronies) that she knew was about to be fired for malpractice. The “therapy” sent my my mom spiraling even further and she still hasn’t recovered. Don’t even get me started on her bedside manner. This is Boston, you have many better options for a PCP. Don’t settle for Dr. McPhillips.

I have no problems with Dr. McPhillips as far as competentcy in her field. However, she is probably the most uncompassionate doctor I have ever had to the point of going to nurse practitioners in this Practice just to avoid her and the stress I feel with I visit her.. She does the very minimum since I have been picked up by Medicare and acts put out and disinterested no matter what I ask for, which is usually pretty simple: an explanation, a referral, a test, an opinion. When I was diagnosed with cancer by another doctor and called her to let her know, she acutally said "Oh, that's not good." and acted like she had to get off the phone. I have heard this from a number of my acquaintence who use Dr. McPhillips. Ity is too bad.

Dr.McPhillips Is the best example of what a patient needs. I appreciate the care she takes in listening to my concerns. Very professional ~But~ more important she is Caring. I'm thankful to have her as my primary care provider.

She has been my primary care physician for as long as I can remember. She is efficient and thorough yet spends time asking questions about personal health status in all arenas. Can't recommend her enough.

I always leave her office feeling well-informed and cared for. She is both professonal and personal. I highly recommend her!!!

Dr. McPhillips is an excellent doctor. Extremely smart, thorough, great to deal with. Recommend her very highly.

She is the rudest, most uncaring doctor I have ever encountered. I was with my mother who came to see her on a Friday afternoon about chest pain and short breath. When my mother tried to describe the nature of her pain, this doctor rolled her eyes at nearly every sentence. I could hardly believe the lack of professionalism. She was also in a real hurry to leave us even though my mother was not done talking. Fortunately she was only subbing for my mother's primary care doctor. I feel bad for Dr. McPhilips' patients and for those who have to work with her. Stay far away if you can. She is the rudest, most uncaring doctor I have ever encountered.
