Amazing. Can't say enough about this doctor. kind, thorough, honest, and an amazing surgeon, to say the least. saved my daughter from what would have been an extremely bad result had we followed another doctor's advice. trust your gut! get a second opinion. thank you, Dr. Kanter.

I am a type 1 diabetic and have diabetic retinopathy. After moving from NYC to NJ, I needed a new retina specialist and went to Kanter after seeing all of the positive reviews online. I am young and look healthy; he treated me as though I was crazy for being there even though I explained my history. He dilated my eyes and said they "looked fine" without performing an angiogram. I went back for a check-up and finally decided I needed a 2nd opinion. My new dr recognized swelling and treated it.
