Dr. Eric A Ruebke

I had a excellent experience. He listened to me carefully and explained things well.

I was unlucky enough to have him during my ER visit in Sept 2017. I had a documented abdominal issue 3 months prior and was afraid I was having a recurrence of that issue. His bedside manner was accusatory more than it was helpful during my whole visit. I felt like i was being called a liar and he was very condescending. I also had a CT scan done, and was never made aware that showed up abnormal until a DR visit TODAY with a Gastro dr who pulled up my previous record. Not very professional.

I am sure Dr. Ruebke is a very accomplished doctor; however he sincerely needs to improve his bedside manner especially when communitcating with minority males in serious distress. Ironically, we never received a patient review questionnaire from Herrin Hospital after interacting with him in June 2018 (interesting to say the least). If we had, this would have been shared with the hospital instead on this forum. Would actually appreciate the opportunity to discuss this situation.
