Dr. Smith is a great dentist. He does a quality job on daily dental needs. He did my Six Month Smile braces. A year and a half ago. Very happy with the results from them, and so appreciate Dr. Smith’s attention to detail in working to get his patients the best possible smile! New dental hygienist is both welcome and funny and did a great job.

Dr. Smith is very thorough and knowledgeable. He is very kind and explains things so you can understand.

I had a filling fall out and was getting ready to leave town for two weeks. They rearranged things in order to allow Dr Smith an hour for the repair. He discovered a bigger problem, fixed it, and sent me on my way feeling confident that I could leave without worrying about my teeth. This is the kind of practice I’ve been searching for. His staff is terrific too!

We came here because my husbands employer switched insurances. I was not exactly happy that we had to leave the dentist office we were so fond of for so many years. However, every single staff employee from the receptionist to the dental assistant to the doctor, was friendly and and professional. I really appreciated the extra time and effort they put in for both appointments that my daughter needed for her first cavity filling (which she was very very nervous for!) They did everything to explain to me the process and steps of what they needed to do, and if it went awry what the back up plan was… it was very reassuring and I am glad to have an amazing new dentist. Thank you!

Hubby needed some teeth pulled and implants. Dr. Smith prepared a detailed plan, and offered options and recommendations. He favors proper healing and long lasting results over quick fixes. His staff is always friendly and courteous and the office is beautifully designed.

I had been to a few dentists over the last six months over pain in an area of my rear teeth. For solutions, I was presented everything from a change in eating habits all the way to extraction. Even with insurance, some of those quotes were ridiculous in price. The pain came back recently and I chose this office. From the very onset, I noticed up to date equipment, and a wonderful staff. Within minutes, the dentist found the issue with my teeth. Today, we set the foundation for a crown and I was given a lot of information and detailed reasoning as to why I needed to do a crown. The price was fair and he and his staff were great to work with. Highly recommend this dentist.

I normally don't like anyone Paramount inside of my mouth I'm basically scared of going to the dentist but the Timberlake family dentist makes you feel like you're at home and you can trust them they're very good at what they do I had had to post cavities filled and a lot more work I would totally recommend them they're going to do what they did

Dr. Smith is skilled. Jordan handles the business, billing, insurance stuff real well for which I am grateful because I hate dealing with that mess. Brenda may be best hygienist I have ever had. I can think of none better. My teeth turn out really good and clean. One of the great blessings of Lynchburg is Timberlake Family Dentistry. My whole family likes them.

I stopped by the office in a panic because my other dentist was out of town and I needed to fix my teeth ASAP since they were bothering me. They took me in and fixed my tooth in under 10 minutes and relieved me from my misery. The staff was extremely friendly and didn’t charge me for the work. Will definitely be stopping by again!

Nobody enjoys going to the dentist, but doctor Smith and his team made my visit as painless as possible. I love the way my mouth feels when I leave the dentist. Dr Eric very personable and hygienist Brenda really got my teeth clean. I think she found stuff that other people have missed and so I really appreciate having my teeth extra clean. I came to Dr. Smith after going to a large dental practice, which I felt was a bit impersonal. I knew that I had a lot of major work to be done and wanted to go to a dentist who would care for me as an individual. Dr. Smith immediately created a treatment plan for me and went over it with me step by step. He helped me prioritize procedures and made helpful suggestions as to how to best tackle my situation. He and his staff then proceeded to see me through several major procedures, including two new implants and the repair of two improperly done implants. Everything was done with professionalism and great care was taken to see that I was comfortable with and satisfied with the work that was done. I cannot say enough about Dr. Smith and his staff. If you are in need of a dental practice that cares for the individual patient and does excellent work, this is the place for you!

No root canal is pleasant, but Dr. Smith and the staff at Timberlake Family Dentistry made this a pleasant experience. It was the best root canal of the five that I have had. No pain or discomfort at all. The staff are all friendly and professional. I was also impressed with their infection control practices.

My husband saw Dr Smith for an abscessed tooth that had caused a FISTULA. After weeks of searching for an ORAL SURGEON, we found out that no oral surgeon would accept our insurance due to MEDICARE. I called and talked to Jennie, at Timberlake Family Dentistry, and she made me feel like I had known her for YEARS Although, MEDICARE doesn't pay for any type of dentistry, Dr Smith accepts CARE CREDIT and saw Mike that same day!!!!!!! Today, he extracted 3 teeth and feels positive the fistula will clear up on it's own. The cost was more than HALF of what we would have had to pay to any oral surgeon. The receptionist is well on top of logistics, communicates clearly about long-range planning of care, knowledgeable about insurance coverage facts and prospects. (I like the discount for cash payment.) Equipment is up-to-date, impressively so, including a large-screen view of the x-ray of all of the client's teeth so client can easily see the exact condition of each tooth. The hygienist is quite competent, pleasant without being intrusive, explaining progress--the progress itself being a plus--after the previous cleaning. Dr. Smith has done excellent work; I always return to him with complete confidence.

It is a very professional and patient care with the patient. I had neck surgery planned in a few weeks. The staff made every effort to make me comfortable while they performed the necessary work. A few weeks earlier I had to cancel the very day of my appointment and they worked with me. I've had much work done on me with no problems.

After my dentist of a few years just suddenly retired, I needed a new place. I briefly glancing at reviews online and literally just picked Timberlake Family Dentistry at random but I'm SO glad I did!!!! I have to say, I was pleased from the beginning. Upon entering the building, I was surprised at the inviting waiting area that was welcoming and homey yet professional. The Keurig and bottled water along with the pleasant smelling candle of some sort makes waiting for your appointment less daunting. Absolutely TERRIFIC staff!!!!! I can't express enough how much I appreciate this, nothing is worse than going to have something done that you yourself are dreading only to find your staff just as much if not more disappointed and annoyed... You can definitely tell that each of the staff members in this practice truly enjoy their job and are very knowledgeable which I GREATLY appreciated! I had just gone in for a regular cleaning and to ask questions about jaw pain that had previously been noted as some sort of TMJ disorder by another business that was never clearly been explained to me. Dr Smith and good team actually listened to my questions and my details on what was bothering me and then told me what they thought should be done and gave me all of the options. I have never been so satisfied with a service! I definitely felt like Dr. Smith and his team genuinely cared about my problems and I definitely walked out of there feeling more confident in the information I was given then I was previously at other practices. I also received A LOT of information during my cleaning, which I never thought I would actually enjoy but I totally did! Actually had the "how and why" of my cleaning be explained to me in a caring and professional way rather than get the regular old lecture about making sure you floss everyday. Having the 80s music playing softly in the background was a highlight as well and made the whole appointment more relaxing. Overall I am TREMENDOUSLY pleased with this dentistry and look forward to becoming a regular patient!

The staff are excellent across the board. And they keep getting better. Very high standards. Dr. Smith is very skilled and efficient. I was impressed how he got the anesthesia exactly right. Zero pain but quick recovery. Uses some impressive technology too. He created a 3D digital model of my teeth! He has also redone the interior of the office which makes it very comfortable. I went in to get my teeth cleaned. The woman at the front desk was very polite and let Dr. Smith know I was in. I was in a room in less than five minutes. They took the time to make sure I was comfortable through the teeth cleaning. The entire staff was very personable. Dr. Smith takes the time to go over everything with you and explains it thoroughly. Best dentist I've ever had. I'd give him 6 stars if it was possible.

I went for my biannual teeth cleaning today. The wait was less than 5 minutes and the atmosphere was pleasant. They offer complimentary coffee and water in the lobby for their patients (which I think is very generous of them.) The only reason I didn’t give five stars was because, although I felt like they did a thorough job cleaning my teeth, there was clearly some tea stains left when they showed me the pictures of the inside my mouth afterwards where they educated me on my teeth grinding and what it was doing to my teeth. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will continue going back to them. They’re nothing like the franchise type dentistry. They’re much more personal and welcoming. I especially appreciate how they educate you on various topics from caring for your teeth to the anatomy and physiology of your mouth to general options outside their practice. (Such as tooth paste and the differences between them, for example) Great group of people!
