Dr. Esther Abarcar Fermin

Dr. Fermin is my son's doctor. My son has a condition and was seeing by Dr. Fermin about 2 weeks ago. Until this day she has not send out the Medication Prescription to the Farmacy. I don't know hard is it to send out the medication prescription to the Farmacy. My son took his last pill last night and hopefully he doesn't suffer an episode thanks to Dr. Fermin lack of care for her patients. I hope Dr. Fermin see's this post. She doesn't disserve my star is just so I can post this.

The experience with Dr. Fermin was ok, the huge problem with this doctors office is the unorganized way they run things. The front desk is a nightmare with no calls back or follow ups. Everything has a paper trail no digital nothing, need a prescription you have to take the physical paper same with appointments they are all took down on notepads with literally paper everywhere in that office. With one word to describe is UNORGANIZED.

If you want to be neglected of medical care than this is the location you want to come to. The receptionist Megan is not doing her job accordingly. I came to visit this location in fear that sick and have strep throat and ask for medication, but because the dr referred me to a specialist the receptionist said it’s best if you just wait until you see the specialist. I had to wait until the insurance approved it and she let me go without any antibiotics. Now I’m here suffering and went to the ER instead of being neglected even more. I came a previous time and asked if when I get my blood work done can I get an std check to the receptionist Megan and she said yes she would write it down. When i go to Labcorp, they told me nothing was stated as such. I call Dr. fermins office and asked Megan why she didn’t write it down and she said “ I thought it was best if you didn’t do it because you already previously tested for std’s”. Who’s decision is it if they want to test their body for a anything like so ? Mines, not no phony receptionist. They never pick up my calls. I needed a referral back in September 2020 and they STILL haven’t given it to me, it’s March 2021. She never actually checks anything. One time I had tonsillitis and she asked me what kind of antibiotics I wanted. My friend was with me at the time and she suggested the antibiotics that Fermin then prescribed to me. I've had Dr Fermin as my doctor for about three years. She's a great Dr., But recently her staff had completely dropped the ball. They can't get my prescription order right and I can never get ahold of anyone at the office. I hope this changes very soon or I will be finding a new office.

I love my Doctor and Megan does a great job handling buisness.

Dr. Fermin is a good doctor. She listens and anything I needed, especially referrals I have no issue getting from her. Any concerns I have she has no problem running tests and not brushing me off. She takes her time with her patients. He staff is small but is amazing! I get in pretty quickly, sometimes it's a day or 2 others it could be a week or 2 out. Still that is good! Usually I never wait more than 20 minutes in her waiting room. Only once was a 45 minute wait. Getting ahold of her office is a little hard but it's only 2 maybe 3 people, so just keep calling and be patient they work hard and are really nice. I had an issue with a referral and her office took care of it that instant, like within 10minutes! Dr. Fermin does tend to ramble, I spent an hour in her office with her talking about well everything and not really pertaining to my health but she is nice and sweet, takes her time with you and cares. Cons, if you do want full answers to any test results i would get them yourself from the labs & imaging centers. Also she doesn't explain why she might be putting you on some medication, just says bc I said so or a really bland response with no detail as to why. I witnessed this with several patients. Overall she is good but get your own results so you can look them over (there is usually a report on all images, and if you need medication really research it before you take it, maybe even go to urgant care) pros and cons to all doctors up here and it is hard to find even a decent one. Excellent Female Physician she made me feel very comfortable and educated. That is important to me. Taking the time to speak and listen to patients is an important quality in a physician. Thank you Dr. Fermin and staff.

She is HORRIBLE physician. She doesnt care about her elderly pts & whn you see her for appt its like she cant be bothered & your taking up her time. She doesnt listen to pt or the family & doesnt exhaust everything by doing all tests needed to rule out problem. If your elderly all she wants to do is rt you off to a nursing home & you will never here frm her again. Wdnt recommend her to anyone under any circumstance Please see diff dr & dont waste your time with her. HORRIBLE!!!

My experience with Dr. Fermin was absolutely HORRIBLE! I waited over 2 hours to be seen today and when I was finally seen by her, she was rushing me along to get on to the next patient. She is always rude to her staff. At every visit, there's a new receptionist working because the last quit. The way her office is ran is extremely unorganized! My advise, go somewhere else!
