Dr. Pereira is amazing. He works with you to find the best possible outcome. Don't hesitate to see him. He's the best around and I've traveled all over to the best hospitals clinics and doctors.

Dr. Periera is an excellent physician and surgeon. I had a compression fracture of my L2 vertebra. After being in excruciating sin for weeks, I was finally referred to Dr. Periera. He inserted a Spinejack to lift up the fractured part of my vertebra. I woke up in the recovery room pain free and have been ever since! Thank you Dr. Periera!

Only got a telephone visit and Dr. Pereira told me that after looking at my medical records and seeing that i have back and neck injuries due to car accident 10 years ago that he wouldn't prescribe any medications because my injury is too old but he will do surgery on my neck if i want him too ?? No thanks ! If he thinks my.injuries aren't sufficient enough for medication then I'm not understanding how my injuries qualified for surgery ? Very rude on the phone and very brief ! He charged my insurance $198 and me $40 for that less than 5 minute phone call ! I wouldn't recommend him to anyone

Waited for over an hour in exam room. Dr P. was rude, arrogant and didn't bother to listen to me. Then sent a urine test to an out of network lab leaving me with a $400 copay on a $2,000 urine test!!! Don't go here!!!

I have been seeing Dr Pereira for 2.5 years. I have peripheral neuropathy and nothing that Dr Pereira and other doctors tried worked. I'm left taking strong pain medications for the rest of my life and Dr Pereira supports me. His office returns my calls within 24 hours. His calendar is booked 30 days out. However, I had a very urgent need to see him and they squeezed me in 2 days later. I see him every 3 months. His staff has always been kind and considerate.

DR. PEREIRA is 1st class! He is taking great care of me. He is my best and favorite pain management Doctor. He listens to me and understands my concerns.

Dr pereira is condescending and arrogant. Came in to talk with me about my neck pain for ten mins. Wanted to do surgery on my neck. Wanted me off of pain meds in 2 days - after being on them for five years. No compassion at all. I then recd a $400 bill for this visit telling me my ins wasn’t paying for the services. The admin staff never put it they the correct insurance carrier. Incompetence all the way around! Beware! It took me 3 mos to get that appt and a mountain of paperwork. Ridiculous.

I would definitely recommend Doctor Pereira and his staff to anyone. I went to his office after being in pain for three months and being unable to walk 100 yards. After being treated by Doctor Pereira I am pain free. His staff is wonderful also. Everyone in this office made me feel like my health was their top priority.

I had a terrible experience with a doctor first thing he said let's get you off this pain medication that I was on from a pain clinic in Connecticut see how that works of course it was worse remained at 8 to 10 I do not understand his logic beware he did give me an injection after 2 weeks of suffering it failed within a week I said I need some pain medication he put me on something for arthritis to no avail and I had allergic reactions I said I need something for pain he never gave anyting bewar

The front staff is extremely uncooperative and poorly trained. They need change the way they schedule new patients. Your required to be 30 minutes early to your appointment, if your 5 minutes late they turn you away. Even though your still early from your actual appointment! Wouldn’t it make sense to schedule every appointment 30 minutes early from the beginning. Especially if it’s going to be taken so serious you have to turn away people in the rudest manner.

As the fiancee of a terminally ill cancer patient, I have experienced the care and compassion of this genuine pain managemen specialist. It has been a nightmare of never-ending trials, unfortunate progression of this destructive disease, ultimately fatal disease. But having Dr. Perreira as a critical part of the care team has lessened the misery of pain and intolerable conditions of battling cancer. Along with Dr. Anjan Patel, and Dr.Meredith and Sarasota Memorial Hospital, we have been blessed

This man is very rude and condescending with zero compassion. Spent less than ten minutes with me & instead of discussing my pain and coming up with a treatment plan, he belittled me and blamed my pain on the fact that I smoke. He did not care about what had worked in the past and jumped right to scheduling costly spinal injections, only ordering physical therapy because without it insurance would deny injections-his words, not mine. All about $$$ and not about patient care. I DO NOT recommend.

As a cancer patient in constant back and joint pain, I am so glad to have found Dr. Pereira and his wonderful staff for my pain medicine management.

Dr. Pereira is one of those rare doctors who will talk with & listen to the patient. He is always willing to discuss existing & new treatment options, plus any other patient concerns. Dr. Pereira is very skilled, and extremely thorough, in areas of pain treatment & anesthesiology. He is also caring, compassionate, kind; and, he even has a witty sense of humor too. His office is well-organized; it runs on time - rare to wait long; and, his staff is well-trained. Grateful he is my doctor!

Problem: Lower back pain primarily aggravated by prolonged sitting at desk. Dr Pereira completely solved the p;roblem

Treatment of pain can be very tricky. Dr. Pereira has been with me every step of the way. There are times I thought of him as being like an investigator or scientist delving into my situation. Could not be more happy. Am pain free most of the time.... which was not the case in 2013.

He's incompetent I told my primary and cardiologist what he said and wanted to do they said he was nuts it would futher hurt my heart health.
