Dr. Bohnenkamp performed 2 surgeries (left hip & right knee) on myself. Both surgeries were total replacements. Complicated cases with two surgeries within 7 weeks. Both came out fantastic. I highly recommend him as a orthopedic surgeon. Excellent bedside manor and very personable. You will love him.

Dr. Bohnenkamp was doing a one year follow up on my full knee revision. He was respectful as always and asked how I was doing and listened to how I felt and we understood each other. His assistant said that she would be available as well if I have questions in the future.

Dr. Bohnencamp has helped me stay very active--biking, weight-lifting, hunting--by replacing two knees and one hip. With the arthritis gone and range of movement restored, I can really get back to doing the things I love. His skill and professionalism gave me a very high level of confidence...I am 65 years old

Dr Bohnenkamp is very knowledgeable in his field. Explained knee problems and gave options for treatment.

I supplied my health info and received an x-ray for my hips. The administrative staff and attending nurse were very efficient easy and service oriented. Dr. Bohnenkamp review my results and recommended steroid shots, which have helped. It is a delight to be served by excellent, articulate and empathetic medical personnel. Thank you!

I had total knee replacement on both knees. Very satisfied! Dr. Bohnenkamp is a highly skilled surgeon that is passionate about improving the lives of his patients. From his highly advanced surgical skills, to his bright spirit, wit and sense of humor, your experience with Dr. Bohnenkamp will be second to none.

I am extremely pleased each time I see Dr Bohenkamp. He’s very thorough and DOES NOT RUSH the visit as most doctors do. I has instant relief after my injections….. with a 13 hour shift right after.

It started as just hip inflammation but after 4 years I was on a walker. After consulting with Dr. Bohnenkamp, his compassion and knowledge eased my decision to proceed with the hip replacement. I was in and out (back home) in 5 hours. Dr. Bohnenkamp and his staff are stellar professionals that have your best interest to heart! I had the posterior procedure which bruised and swelled but all those concerns healed well! My thoughts to pass along: Keep the incision area DRY ( I had 2 quick showers in 2 weeks). Incision closed/healed properly. You might need help getting your leg up when going to bed. What works best is to sit and work way back toward the middle of the bed. Proceed until you can get most of your calf on to the mattress. Lay back and spin your waist. Keep that hip elevated!!!! The first 2 days I sat erect in a bar stool (added height to your chair is VERY beneficial) and the swelling in my ankle and foot did not dissipate. Once prone, in a recliner or sofa, swelling ebbed! Bring an empty plastic bag to the hospital for patient pick up. They’ll back up to seat, sit down and then spin effortlessly on the bag! Tell the Doctor that you need to pick up any medication PRIOR to surgery!!!! Makes life easier post surgery. Keep as positive mind, the more you relax and stay dry, the quicker you’ll heal! Dr. Bohnenkamp is the best!!! I have recommended him to family friends and even customers. My hip replacement surgery went amazing with a very minimal 3 or 4 inch scar. No hospital stay required. He he’s a wonderful bedside manner he’s very personable and very thorough. For my hip replacement he gave me a whole packet that pretty much could answer any question that I may have that will come up and he will be doing my right knee replacement next and again I have another whole new packet with things to know about that surgery. This surgeon is absolutely the best orthopedic surgeon I’ve ever met. He’s thorough. But mainly has a bedside manner that comforts you & makes you feel like you can do this. Believe me. I’ve gone to two other surgeons before I met Dr. Bohnenkamp. I’m soooo glad I waited.

I had a very bad infection in my knee that settled in from a replacement 24 years ago. Dr. Bohnenkamp was able to get rid of the infection and do a total revision replacement which I found out is not your typical knee replacement. I was overwhelmed by his commitment, concern and honesty during the whole 3 month, 3 surgery process. He explained everything and prepared me for the possible different outcomes. I highly recommend Dr. Bohnenkamp if you're in need of an orthopedic surgeon. He and his staff were wonderful.

My visit with Dr. Bohnenkamp was everything I expected. He was very polite. Performed an in depth exam of my knees. He gave me treatment options that he recommended. I was given a choice on the options. He gave me literature about the treatments, for my own research. He started the treatment immediately. I would highly recommend Dr. Bohnenkamp for your orthopedic needs.

This appointment was a follow-up for knee replacement one year ago. Thank you Dr. Bohnenkamp for a virtually pain free knee replacement.

Dr. Bohnenkamp was very personable and shared X-ray’s and option to resolve the pain I’ve been having for a few months in my left hip. He explained how a total hip procedure is done and reassured me when I had questions about the recovery process. I am optimistic all will go well, but a little shaky about how well pain meds will work as I am very limited in what I can take.
