After earlier unsuccessful attempts with rigid orthotics over the years, I had given up on the idea. But persistent ankle problems drove me to see Dr. Santopietro to try his more cushioned type of orthotics. He was very patient, and after a number of adjustments, the orthotics are now perfect. Dr. Santopietro also helped me with an injury to a toe that I had previously fractured, showing me how specific taping allowed me to walk without pain. He really has a unique biomechanical way of diagnosing and treating foot/ankle problems, and I am very grateful to him. Without his help, I would not be able to keep up my walking every day. Hands down, the best orthotic out there. I travel from another country just to get Dr. Santopietro's orthotics! Well worth it.

These are the best orthotics ever. He is much more thorough than any other podiatrist I’ve had. I’ve have 8-10 pairs of orthotics and I only wear these.

I unfortunately had to cancel my appointment due to unplanned circumstances. This rating has nothing to do with the podiatrist, but the front office. The receptionist was very rude and and made unneccesary remarks due to the cancelation.

Dr. Santopietro is a miracle worker! He’s not only extremely knowledgeable and current in his practice, but he also seeks alternative methods in order to improve the quality of one’s life without invasive surgery.

Dr Frank Santopietro’s expertise and percise work in making orthodics is excellent! He is very knowledgable and detailed oriented making certain you are receiving all the attention and outcome you came for. He makes choices that are based on years of experience and what provides the best outcome. I highly recommend him!

I went to Dr. Santopietro for orthotics to replace ones that wore out after three decades. After several visits and at a cost of $450, I ended up with orthotics from him that were extremely bulky and completely useless. I also had to buy a pair of shoes for $150 that were larger than my usual size to accommodate his orthotics and were useless to me subsequently. Rather than try to supply me with orthotics that worked the same way as my previously successful ones, Dr. Santopietro tried to re-make my posture and gait into something that it could never be. Dr. Santopietro has been making me orthotics for my running shoes for the last 15 years and I couldn’t be happier. A true professional and artisan.

Custom orthotics were completely unsuitable for plantar fasciitis. Additionally, they are out-dated and bulky and do not fit in regular shoes. On top of it, they are $450 and although I was told they would submit my out-of-pocket payment to my insurance, they have not reimbursed me any of the amount my insurance has declared they owe. I went to see Mr. Santopietro for an injury to my big toe. I was fit for orthotics ($450), told I had to purchase their ugly, huge sneakers ($160) and could not wear any other shoes until it was better. I followed his arrogant orders, was not any better after 2 months, sought a second opinion, and ended up with weeks of physical therapy and was told by the the therapist not to wear the orthotics/shoes again. After the PT healed me, I asked Mr. S if I could return the shoes and orthotics for a refund. He was verbally abusive (said to me, "Don't call me Sir, call me Doctor!"). I have never been treated that way by any adult, let alone by a supposed medical professional. He behaved like a child who was caught for his wrong doing - duping me into spending $$$ by trying to turn a simple toe injury into a bogus "condition" requiring me to wear orthotics in BOTH feet. Dr Santopietro is just the best. I went there because I was feeling high level of pain. Each footstep was feeling like knifes cutting my feet. I went there because it is in the same building as my PCP. Never went back on my decision. The pain is no more. He took his time to understand why I was feeling pain and just by using orthopedics, he corrected my standing position. My PCP told me I would have to have regular injections of steroides, he thought the problem was just mechanical. In a week, I was feeling so much better and after a few months, the pain is gone. Five stars is not even enough. He is just fantastic. Dr Santopietro is just the best. I went there because I was feeling high level of pain. Each footstep was feeling like knifes cutting my feet. Dr. Santopietro is very casual and friendly, unlike many other doctors. He's been my doctor for many years, and in all those years I've never had a problem with his work or his personality. His past experience working in the shoe industry gives him knowledge and experience with recommending the correct shoes to buy that differs from other doctors. He doesn't just repeat what he's told is a good shoe; he figures it out himself. He also sells those shoes at a reduced price than what you would find in stores, but he doesn't force you to buy them from him. If your appointment is at 3:00 but you arrive at 1:30, if he has nobody else in the office he will see you at 1:30, allowing you to leave before your appointment even begins. He has years of experience and treated my condition very professionally

Excellent craftsman, awful doctor. I found Dr. Santopietro to be unprofessional, untimely, and downright unpleasant--but I'll get to that later. Most importantly, in the two years I was under Dr. Santopietro's care, my feet were in the worst shape of my life. Dr. Santopietro was only interested in peddling his expensive, gait-correcting orthodics. They were well made, to be sure, but they didn't solve my problem. In fact, they put more pressure on my toes, which made the problem worse. While wearing his orthodics, I saw three other podiatrists (in different states) who all had the same reaction: Why the hell are you wearing these? They all immediately modified his orthodic. I now wear thick, padded orthodics from a shoe store, saving me hundreds of dollars with much better results. As for the other problems: a visit to Dr. Santopietro's office was a miserable experience. His staff are nice, but he is out of control. Simple check-ups could take three hours because he would dart in and out of the room. He was curt, brusque, and refused to explain what he was saying or doing. More than once, he engaged me in a political discussion. We have very different views, and I tried to change the subject, but he wouldn't let up. He kept asserting his (self-interested) perspective no matter how little I wanted to hear it. He simply has no interest in treating his patients. Take your business elsewhere.
