Dr. Shapiro did a great job repairing my torn Achilles tendon and monitoring my recovery. Highly recommend if, unfortunately, this type of surgery is required.

Sorry to hear he is retiring

Dr. Shapiro performed knee replacement surgery on January 6th 2020. The procedure went fine and I am recovering very well after 3 weed. I would recommend him highly.

Made fun of my handwriting due to me not being able to use my right hand that I normally use also questioned how I put my hair up questioned everything rudely since he walked in everything ignored that I was literally crying out for help and in pain for months now trying to get someone to listen to me and help me he sent me to another office I think that is best because I don’t think he would’ve been able to help me the way he was treating me, other staff was nice but the Dr. Schapiro himself was a rude bias person I don’t recommend going to see him. Have a great retirement, your patients will miss you for sure!!

My first visit here & I was definitely not impressed with my orthopedic doctor, Dr. Shapiro. First of all he comes in the exam room, doesn’t even ask me any questions as to what my symptoms are, doesn’t do any physical exam of my knee. Doesn’t even make eye contact as he’s showing me the x-rays and tells me that I have arthritis and then blames it on my weight (which I know I need to lose weight) but the reason I’m going to see him is because I have an acute injury. I tore my meniscus and I have a stress fracture and he focuses on the arthritis? Dude that’s not why I’m there. I’ve had arthritic changes in my knee for a while & I already knew that but it was never hurting me. But now it’s hurting because of my meniscus tear. He’s trying to tell me that the meniscus tear is not an acute injury. Blaming my pain on my weight was the rudest thing ever. I hurt myself hiking. I’ll never return to him; he has horrible bedside manners. Showed no empathy and didn’t even examine my knee. Wth?

Extremely impressed with the level of Dr. Shapiro's interest in my injury. He understood my reasons to get back to my ability to ride my horses, and worked hard to get me there. Highly recommend him. Great bedside manner!

Dr. Shapiro explained everything in detail and made me understand what he would be doing and I was completely comfortable.

This was my first experience with Dr Shapiro. He was very timely, kind and gave me a very thorough evaluation of my knee injury and options for its repair. Another great member of the Kennedy and White team

First impressions are important. This was my first appointment and I can only say it was on time, and everything ran like a well oiled clock. The staff was friendly, efficient and attentive. Dr.Shapiro was interested in my issues, he spent time discussing my X-rays and gave me options. I came with. 2 issues my knee and shoulder. Some doctors would not have discussed both in one visit.. This is my first experience with having orthopedic surgery, in a new state, recently having moved from Nashville. Dr. Shapiro did a total knee replacement and I was up and using a walker within a few days. I am beginning OP rehab in two days and look forward to a full recovery. I am very pleased with the results and found Dr Shapiro to be a top notch surgeon. He’s very easy to talk to and is a good listener. He explains things in a way you understand. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him, based on my own experience. I’m a retired nurse of 40+yrs, as well. Very good experience. Dr. Shapiro is great. I came in for a Euflexa injection into my right knee, and Dr. Shapiro was very professional and thorough. His friendly manner was very reassuring. I was happy to see that he was using ultrasound to make sure that the injection was going in with the utmost accuracy. I am scheduled to receive two more follow-up injections, and I am confident that Dr. Shapiro will handle this in his professional and friendly manner. Thank you Dr. Shapiro.

Great Staff and Doctor! Dr. Shapiro and his assistant, Ariel are absolutely wonderful. They made my daughter feel comfortable and explained her xrays and recovery plan directly to her, and me of course. I just liked that they talked to her as opposed to talking over her to me.

Dr. Shapiro took care of a traumatic injury to my rotator cuff. His knowledge and calm demeanor helped me through the emotional aspects of the injury. His expertise, confidence, surgical skills and guidence helped bring my shoulder to the best it can be. I never doubted and put all my faith in him and his staff. I had a very unfortunate experience with Dr. Shapiro. Even though my MRI said my pain is "chronic" he told me there was nothing he could do and that I should learn to live with the pain. He has no bed-side manner, needs customer service training and I am sincerely doubting his medical ability.

I asked him about injections.. He said they don't work. I asked about referral to pain management.; he brushed it off.
