I am 18 weeks pregnant an still really sick a lot of the time, I had an appointment with a dentist at this facility (my first appointment) and couldn't make it in because of vomiting, which obviously would dissuade anyone from putting their fingers into my mouth. I call several times before my appointment and can not get through (there was an issue with their automated system, instead of forwarding it kept rerouting me and ringing). Of course they call to alert me I missed my appointment and I try to return the call and finally get through and speak with a woman who tells me it's no big deal and to call back when I'm feeling better. Fast forward two days, I call in and get the rudest woman who dresses me down for missing my appointment, telling me how irresponsible I am and how I'm LYING about not only not being able to get through on their phone lines AND ever speaking to someone and how I should have come even though I was throwing up because it was just an excuse. Then, after dealing with this crap and keeping my cool, this woman precedes to tell me I am never allowed to go to their facility ever again and I have been put into a black list because I missed my first appointment!! I am SOO glad I missed my appointment because I would NEVER use a dentist who employs people of this low character. I have never been spoken to in such a disrespectful manner especially for something so small as missing an appointment!!! Plenty of dentists accept Medicaid so please don't think this is your only option if that is the reason you are going here!!! Stay away! I have been getting dental care from them for years. They are a teaching institute so i would have a dentist [usually] for one round of care and then when i would return for next care cycle it would be a different experience. The main constant was Susan, the front desk gal, who was very friendly & had an attitude that generated trust which carried past the door into the chairs. I figured i was getting care at a discounted rate due to these issues and the problem of not being able to be scheduled as often as I would want, nor get as much work done in one sitting as would have been more convenient They did make me a set of bridges that are fine [as those things go] -[-be kind to your teeth]. They respected the fact that I have issues about only being able to breathe thru my nose so would work with me when they needed to make me do that to take an impression or some such. Another constant would be the dental assistants--they didn't change out & were usually very patient centered. It is time for more care & I intended to go there but I'm confused now about the pricing issue. I have been told their prices are now competitive or similar to a dental office where i could make a long term relationship. Proof that dentists overcharge--almost all of them are closed on Friday!
