After seeing my husband for 20 minutes, he suggested to him that he has bipolar disorder. When my husband said that he disagreed with that he told him to look up "bipolar depressions" without suggesting he look up the manic side. My husband has mostly situational depression and has never had anything so much as resembling mania. He also told my husband that he wanted to talk to me about my perceptions of his behavior as well. This doctor irresponsiblely reaches for unlikely diagnoses.

I've been seeing Dr. Gettinger for about 3 years. He is thorough and always takes the time to listen to my concerns and explain things thoroughly. He often uses a notepad to diagram and notate his explanations, which is great because I have it to refer to later. Thanks to MAHEC's patient portal system, I can also ask minor questions outside of appointments. He and his staff always respond promptly. I have had good care from Dr. Gettinger and MAHEC, and highly recommend both.

Dr. Gettinger has been my physician for the past two years. I am a 69 year old male with multiple minor issues. He has been very thorough in evaluating and diagnosing issues that none of my previous doctors have been satisfactorily been able to do. I highly recommend him.

I find Dr. Gettinger to be a very caring and well informed on many different medical conditions. He has been practical in helping me learn to cope with various health issues.
