Dr. Gerard H Murphy

I’m 45years old and I have come to a point in my life where I need healthcare. I have been a nurse for 20+ years and I have taken care and touched the patients of this practice with my hands for that many years. I called to make an appointment because I have true medical issues. I live in Chilhowie and I think it should be considered a compliment that a nurse wants to choose you as their doctor. I get a callback from a staff member named Jennifer. She tells me I need to get medical release from my previous provider. I explained I had no previous provider. Placed on hold again. Came back and asked again after already getting my date of birth how old I was. I said 45. Put on hold 3 times because she treated me poorly. I told her I had one urgent care visit and she said we could start with those records. I said so until u get that u can’t schedule me an appt? She said “no, you can never be too careful.” I wish this lady the best and I would have never called there if I hadn’t needed care.

Dr. Murphy was my primary physician for several years. He is so good that I am going back to VA just to see him .He is kind and patient, but also very smart when it comes to diagnosing.

Dr. Murphy has been my general practitioner for a number of years and I do not have one negative thing to say about him or his practice. I would and have recommended Dr. Murphy to several friends and family.
