Ladies, please do not fall for the scare tactics, such as being shown an elephant size pessary for pelvic prolapse. Many hysterectomies are not necessary, read about them and what they do to a woman’s body—often causes the need for further surgeries later. I have friends who can testify to that. I was told I was stage 3. For a second opinion I saw Dr. Francisco Orejuela, who is a great doctor, and he said stage 2. Unable after a month of trying, went to my GP for an order for physical therapy with Dr. Summer Mutombo. I went about a month and learned how to do kegels correctly, how to strengthen necessary muscle groups and how to use the PERIFIT which is actually fun and helps very much. I also walk 1/2 hour 3 times a week. It took about 10 months but I am so happy, back to golf and my normal life. I hope I have been helpful, my intent, and I wish you ladies well!

You do NOT need to live with urinary incontinence. Please come see Dr. Cathey and get it taken care of. Bonus if you have any kind of uterine issues, because she takes care of that too!

My experience has been outstanding. Dr. Cathey takes her time to explain what she is doing and why and make sure all questions are answered. I have been treated with kindness and professionalism throughout my time with Women's Pelvic Restorative Center. I highly recommend them.

I had the opportunity to have Dr. Cathey referenced to me. I believe it was the best thing that could happen for me. She had great bedside manner and helped me out tremendously. Was looking for a Dr to take my mother to and my research’s came to Dr Cathey, I liked what I read and it has been the most positive experience from the staff at her office to the staff at the Womens hosp and I mean everyone is super nice and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr Cathey, just fantastic, my mother can be quite difficult and inspite of it everyone very professional, I’m impressed.

Excellent doctor. Found a small carcinoma in the bladder while performing hysterectomy. Referred me to the right cancer doctors. Had it removed and followed up with treatments. She was right about everything. Her staff is very professional and stays on top of everything with follow-ups. Great communication. Can't say enough about her.

Quick to tell me it’s prudendal neuralgia didn’t give me time to explain. That I have bowel issues pelvic pressure low abdominal pain is worse sitting standing walking is better lay down.

I should have had this done several years ago! It has changed my life and made it much more pleasant not leaking every time I cough, sneeze or laugh. The follow-up was quick and easy and Dr. Cathy and her staff are so nice and caring.

Dr. Dawn Black diagnosed that I had a prolapsed uterus. She referred me to Dr. Cathey. Dr. Cathey examined and tested me. She diagnosed me with additional issues. She provided surgery to take care of everything related to the original diagnosis. Dr. Cathey were always very professional, kind, and sympathetic.

My visit was for Pelvic Restoration

At 35 I was already having bladder issue when running, sneezing, jumping, etc and I knew I had to get it corrected to enjoy my children. My mom referred me to Dr Cathey who did her bladder lift surgery many years prior. Dr Cathey was very nice, to the point, and informative. Surgery went great and I am now enjoying life completely! Highly recommend Dr Cathey and DON'T WAIT TO GET IT DONE!
