Had to have a bladder stone removed and a TURP procedure performed, all in one operation. After two nights in the hospital and 5 days at home, I feel fabulous! Great doctor- but need to not over book!!! Unacceptable to be put on hold for 20 minutes. Unacceptable for voicemails not to be returned. Unacceptable to come in for an appointment and wait an hour to see the doctor (on a regular basis). Easily could be a five star office if they could clean up their customer service/relations. I am a professional too, and my time is equally valued/expensive – just ask my employer. I will be forced to go to Grand Rapids to find different Urologist if this situation does not improve. UPDATE: NOT a great Doctor if he and his staff put you into a position to potentially suffer! Might as well just go to Emergency instead of trying to work within Bronson Urology .... I’m done with them (Bronson Urology). WHEN WILL THESE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE HUMAN ELEMENT OF UROLOGY?!!! I was outright lied to when promised that I would receive an “immediate” perception for antibiotics the next time my prostatitis flared up. Instead, I’m left with the fear of if/when I stop being able to pee only to face being catheterized when it happens. Talk about pain and mental suffering!!!!!!!! Thorough, caring, and professional. He answered all my questions and did a phenomenal job on my surgery.

Was very kind and caring while I was pregnant in the hospital with inlarged kidney stones. Was very good about keeping me informed of my recovery plan.

Bronson urology needs to understand the human side of urology and not treat patients like numbers AND be true to your word I.e. No lip service

My husband went in to see Dr. Blix for some urological issues. He was maybe in there for 10 minutes. Dr. Blix would not answer any of his questions, and did not seem concerned about treating him. The only thing he was concerned about was getting my husband out the door as fast as possible. We waited 6 months for this appointment. I would NOT recommend seeing him and in fact I plan on sharing this with everyone I know in the area.

Dr. Blix found my bladder cancer in 2009, due to gross hematuria that was mistakenly identified by another physician as post-menopausal bleeding. Dr. Blix removed tumor and treated me dilligently for nearly six years. in 2015 the pathology showed cancer turned even more aggressive, so I was referred out Chicago, where an aggressive clinical trial and treatment could be perfored. Dr. Blix is highly recommended by me, and the level of care I received from him was second to none.
