In Dec, 2022, I became quite ill and tested positive for COVID at home. I called Dr. Mittal’s office to request a prescription for Paxlovid. The receptionist said that I must talk to Dr. Mittal before she will write the script. When Dr. Mittal returned my call, I had lost my voice and whispered my diagnosis and request for Paxlovid. The entire call lasted for 2-3 mins. Dr. Mittal faxed the prescription to the pharmacy. Several weeks later, I was stunned to learn that she had billed my insurance company a whopping $150. Insurance paid almost half and I was responsible for $80+ dollars. This feels like price gauging. I have since changed doctors. My new doctor does not charge for this service. (I specifically asked.) Potential patients of Dr. Mittal should be aware. What happened to me will happen to them.

Hire new Front desk people. Not taking there job seriously. Waited them to reply me back. I never received any.

Staff does not care about working with you. I've been with dr mittal for years now, I've been trying to switch but Gilroy family medical group doesn't handle switching doctors very well... the staff can't handle a simple fax and I've been without my prescription for over a week now. Nightmare service wish I could switch without hassle.

Front desk is unhelpful, rude and does not communicate the importance of prescriptions to doctor. Have been waiting 5 days for a simple fax. Hire a new front desk.

A couple weeks ago I took my elderly Mother who recently moved here from AZ to see Dr. Mittal for the 1st time (to become her new primary care physician). So far, excellent! She was very caring and attentive to my Mother. The transfer of all medications from AZ to CA was also flawless. Then today I had to call Dr. Mittal for a short-notice authorization to another local specialist and she got on the phone with me personally and immediately called the other doctor after I hung up with her. Good doctor, but her staff/front desk is so rude and unhelpful I won't be going back.

Professional, attentive, and friendly. Have been going to her for years, and have not had a single bad experience.

I had a great first experience with Dr. Mittal. She is a very caring & knowledgeable professional. She took her time, listened to my concerns, and made me feel at ease.

Great Dr. In a matter of 2 yrs, she went from not being busy to super busy in terms of clientele. That said, she is very experience, kind and caring. She treats her patience like people and not $$$
