Dr. McElwain is an excellent & caring physician. He is right on target when diagnosing what is going on with a person’s health. He is caring, interested, and explains what he diagnoses and how he will treat what is wrong, in terms that are understandable. I will forever say that Dr. cElwain is the best doctor I have ever encountered.

If I expressed my true feelings about this “Doctor”, it might be considered libel. For those who don’t know, LIBOR is a defamatory statement that is in writing. Yes, my experiences with him are THAT BAD. In my opinion, he made the last three weeks of a family members life very upsetting and in quicken this person’s death although this person was already terminally ill. Without informing the patient, he passed-off her case to another Dr in their practice 2-3 weeks before her death. Just prior to that, and he took a vacation. It should be noted that this patient had been seeing Dr. McElwain for decades. There is so much more to say about how poor of a position this man is. I would not send my worst enemy to him. My mother was treated by this doctor for at least 20 years. My mom developed cancer but was still seen by Dr. McElwain in HRH. He literally stopped seeing my mom and sent in an associate for a month before she passed—NO, he was not on vacation. No explanation was ever given She felt abandoned by him. Before he stopped visiting her, his hospital room visits were extremely brief and, in my opinion was NOT professional. He was a good doctor years ago. Perhaps it’s time to retire.

I have been going to Dr. McElwain for over 25 years. He has consistently provided excellent medical care and has an outstanding staff serving with him.
