The best doctor. I had a problem with my ear for five years dealing with it with Dr Thomas Huang, which he didn’t do a good job on my right ear but Dr. Dijilian was the best doctor. He figured out my issue and he fixed it for me with the surgery done professionally. now I don’t get any more ear infections. Thank you Dr. Hameed Dijilian you are the best.

I'm writing this not a a review but as a small way to sincerely appreciate Dr. Djalilian for saving my life. After several ENT visits, 2 times of hospitalizations and receiving unnecessary IV and oral antibiotics without improvement, I found Dr. Djalilian At UCI who immediately diagnosed my medical condition and saved my life. We always appreciate Football players, Basketball players, actors, actresses..... but forget to appreciate GENIUS doctors like Dr. Djalilian who worked days and nights toget to this point and save patient's life. I also appreciate his resident Dr. Sina Torabi for taking time, listening to me carefully and gathering all important information. Without Dr. Djalilian 's smart diagnosis, I would have unnecessary and complex surgeries that would kill me. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN FOR SAVING MY LIFE. I CAN NEVER APPRECIATE YOU ENOUGH. YOU ARE THE BEST AND SMARTEST DOCTOR I'VE EVER SEEN.

Billed an office visit as an outpatient clinic visit makes a whole lot of difference on the insurance coverage! It will go to deductible and I am forced to pay over $400 out of pocket for an office visit! They will not change the location code from outpatient to office visit ! Trying to figure out the codes for another location so I can still receive care but getting the run around and no clear answers. How can I take care of my health if there is no transparency of their charges? " you will know after the visit is done" answer it is not helpful and very disrespectful. They do not exemplify their stated values: respect, integrity, and service. *Another $138 charge for using the facility!!! Nice doctor. My ear pain went away in 10 mins. My total charge after insurance was just 50$ and I owe my thanks to the doctor... I would definitely recommend the doctor...God bless you doctor...

If you have Tinnitus look no further-- I started experiencing Tinnitus 6 months ago but under the care of Dr. Djalilian my Tinnitus has improved 80% and allowed me to carry on my normal living. He is a Tinnitus Specialist and if you are experiencing this I highly recommend him! I went to two other ENT doctors and they had no feedback regarding this issue. Dr. Djalilian fixed both of my ears with major Exostoses (Surfer's Ear) in one operation. Perfect job using the latest greatest techniques so my healing time was quick and there was little trauma. I was back in the water fast, hearing came back and chronic ear infections are gone. I highly recommend Dr. Djalilian for complicated ear operations, especially Surfer's Ear. He was able to find a solution to an issue that three other specialists in two years couldn't regarding my eardrum. He was patient with my questions and gave me clear answers. He is straight talker so don't expect him to sugarcoat anything. I had a procedure done and felt well cared for during it. Thank you, Dr. Djalilian!

One of the worst Drs I’ve ever seen. My hearing loss and ringing seemed like nothing to him, he NEVER read my chart or Hx ( I have stage 4 cancer), he sent me back to an extremely expensive sleep clinic 4 times for “ear migraines”, which the second opinion ENT had never heard of, and the sleep clinic kept sending me back to him because there was nothing wrong with my sleep ( after expensive overnight testing) causing “ear migraines”( which he said he discovered btw)Four months and four medications and five expensive herbs and vitamins later, I have no change. The last thing he told me was “not all things can be treated or cured”. His NP and office were all equally unpleasant and unhelpful. He is what is broken with our health care system.

If I could give a negative star, I would. Horrible experience. 45 minute wait in the lobby and 105 minutes in a freezing cold room for a 20 minute consultation. A month later, there was NO PARKING ! Was turned away at reception desk because it took too long to find a spot. Goodbye UCI! Goodbye Dr. J! Never will go here again.

Horrible human being. I understand he is a doctor and trained for a long time but when a patient has concerns and questions a great doctor will hear them out and understand the patient's frustration. I wish I could rate him lower as one star is too much for him. The resident doctor under him was more adapt at patient care and treatment than this guy. I had high standards for UCI care; however, after my experience I am second guessing their practices. Find a different doctor that is willing to answer questions, especially if you have concerns due to previous history of cancer. DON'T GO TO HIM PLEASE FIND SOMEONE BETTER. Horrible human being. I had visited Dr Djalilian for second opinion about cholesteatoma left ear and subcutneous mass over right jaw.He excels in his bedside manners,his knowldge of his speciality and his skill to explain the nature of illness and pro and cons of various treatments. I have two regrets Number 1. I forgot to tell him about my subcutenous mass on my right jaw though I had told his resident Dr Sharma. Number 2. I am a retiree now after 57 years in medical practice. I had met a lot of teachers and specialists but none of them like Dr Djalilian. If I had good luck of meeting him in my early years of medical practice ,he would have been my role model as a person as well as as doctor. Grateful for your advice. Dr. Djalilian was very professional. He listened to my description of the symptoms and history with other Dr.'s. He discovered and diagnosed the problem, which were missed by other Dr.'s, from the furnished MRI and CT scans in 15 minutes, and formulated a treatment plan on the first visit.

Dr. Djalilian is a man on a mission. He looks at a patient’s illness as a challenge and never gives up. I know when I see him, he has varied alternatives for us to try. He is a great listener, is extremely intelligent and always tries to work my appointments around my teaching schedule. What more could you ask for in a doctor?

Excellent ENT! I've been going to Dr. Djalilian since 2012. He's the first ear specialist I have found in my life that has been able to correctly diagnose and directly treat my lifelong ear problems (not just the symptoms and reoccurring ear infections since my childhood). I've had multiple ear tubes as an adult and a few surgeries, and he continues to see me every six months for follow-up care. The parking garage situation at UCI is no reflection on his care as a clinician and surgeon (as suggested in other reviews). Bad experience. I was waiting 3 months for an appointment. He spent with me 15 minutes. He ignored my lab tests and looked at it only after I asked couple of times. He doesn't like if you ask questions or make comments. He likes to listen only to himself. I didn't get any diagnosis, only a diet recommendation. He told me to follow up ...( What to follow up) with his NP in 6 weeks. Just a joke...

Great Doctor, spent enough time with me to evaluate my condition and I feel that I'm in good hand with his care.

Went to see him after months of hearing loss. I was concerned due to a history of ENT type cancers in my family. This man dismissed every concern I had and treated me with the same treatment plans as my PCP which didn't work. And after a few days of treatment the same allergic reaction occurred and I had to stop treatment again. He didn't answer any of my questions and walked out of my examination before I could ask him any follow-up questions. HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING.

I flew to him from another state and it was worth it! He sat with me for an hour. Listened unlike other doctors, made creative suggestions and calmed me down about surgery if we have to get to it. He’s one of the best.

Dr. Djalilian is a very caring doctor. His diagnostics and prescriptions are the best I went to almost 20 specialists, and he was the only one who could cure me.

If you’re looking for a specialist to have a good chit chat too then go somewhere else, but if you want the best you are at the right page. Dr DJALLIAN is extremely busy and that tells me that a whole lot of patients put their faith in him. Everyone on his team is at the top of their game including his NP and Nurse. Emails are answered quickly and once you’re a patient you will get in to see him and his staff quickly. Sometimes it can get busy but I’d rather wait. A+++

My Mom made an appointment for my Dad 2 months in advance and was never quoted a price. They checked in 1/2 hr before the appt time, and was never told anything about the "quote" process until 40 mins later, 10 mins after I arrived. The Customer Service is awful. A few times we walked up to ask when we should see the quote, so we can see the doctor. They had no idea who to call since the girl who left the message for the quote left the office. Very frustrating. 2 hours later nothing!!! We left.

It has been years since I was treated by Dr. Djalilian, and this survey is long over due. I came to him out of desperation, having been misdiagnosed several times with MS and then Menieres Disease. He gave me a series of tests and a thorough screening. His diagnosis was swift and surprising. I had Atypical Migraines. At first, I did not understand due to the severity of my symptoms and lack of aura effect, but he was correct. His treatment was natural and cured me. I am forever thankful!

Saw the doctor for 15 minutes after I told them I can only pay the co-pay fee, if there are any other fees let me know ahead of time or charge the insurance, he send me a bill for $1000 and is not willing to settle after two years! that's a shame! would not recommend him

Dr. djalilian is the best. He did surgery on my daughter for her bad ear infections. We havent had any problems and the hole in her ear drum has now been closed for a year. Her hearing is now back to normal. We went to him from NorCal.

I had been diagnosed with Meniere diaease for many years. They had done everything - water pills, ear injections, and surgery. None had worked. Dr D started me on nortriptyline and i havent had any symptoms since then. They do a lot of research on vertigo there and it was well worth the trip to Irvine for it.

Was referred to Dr. Djalilian by a friend who was a retired ENT Dr. Went in for a fullness in my ear and occasional vertigo, he said it was due to migraines ( have had them for years but never had the fullness in the ear) he put me on some medication for high blood pressure. (Have never had high blood pressure) he said it would help. After being on it for months at many dosage changes nothing has changed except now I have hearing loss and a ringing in the ear! Very frustrating.

I went to see Dr. Djalilian for my cholesteatoma. I traveled from San Diego because he is the only doctor I could find who uses endoscopes and lasers for removal of the the cholesteatoma. He also doesn't routinely do 2 surgeries like most doctors. I had my surgery 3 years ago and have not had any problems. I get checked once a year with an MRI and an examination and have done well. My hearing is perfect (just like other ear) and he used my own bones to do the reconstruction.

Went to Dr. Djalilian for unusual ear/neuro problems. Was diagnosed with otic migraine, but no further examination. Unfortunately, many months later and my 'migraines' are worsening. I still believe Dr. Djalilian to be knowledgeable and that I was diagnosed to the best of abilities. My main problem concerns lack of carefulness regarding med. choices. I was put on a med that made me very ill, and was not warned beforehand that it could harm me. Med had FDA warnings not communicated to me.
