He is a good person he comes off little rude at first but after going a few times I felt much better, now staff is a little scattered brain, but otherwise not bad . Now you have to realize doctors treat you the way you treat them in my opinion, yes he came off little boldly at first saying I’m to young to have this issue welp tell me about it , but again talk to him and had to come off little aggressive but then we started seeing eye to eye!! He’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I can say now he has my best interest at heart!!!! Will be back !!! This dr refused a referral request for iron infusion my iron is dangerous low from my oncologists causing me to miss the first infusion. He made me come in for an appointment only to drop me as a patient. He was sure to charge insurance for the appointment. What he did today was patient abandonment which is illegal. He refused to put it in writing. He refused to accommodate the referral request until he called pasco county sherrif by way of 911. Only after i broke the law down and after calling the police on me did he agree to approve request for 2 out of 6 weekly treatments. He always has to be hounded for referrals ive missed ivig therapy and ent appointments because of his lack of doing his job properly. I have gone without medications because of his refusal to fill them in a timely manner. Im still waiting for compazine to be filled for over a month. Do yourself a favor abd skip this guy. I had to search out an ent doctor because he ignored my cronic sinusitis infections that i needed two surgeries to correct . if zero stars were an option. I am a very sick person he told me im uneducated to get a job do something with my life and to stop being a burden on society. I am also disabled. He's a misogynistic jerk that should not be practising. I previously worked for an ambulance company and have college education.Update after scheduling appointment for iron infusion shah cancelled my referral and i could not receive the iron today. Also he refused to sign referral for my ivig treatment which was sent to him while he was my dr. Which also set me back . both counts of my iron and igg iga igm antibodies are extremely low and he is 100% aware of these numbers. . dr jaun travarez a amador is rated 4.4 and got me an appointment for tomorrow they also have urgent care same day appointments and are accepting new patients This dr refused a referral request for iron infusion my iron is dangerous low from my oncologists causing me to miss the first infusion. Dr. Shah was the most humane doctor that we have ever had my wife and myself were his patients for over 5 years and every time we went it was a pleasure to be his patient he took care of us as if we were family his staff always newest by name we felt cared for and our health improved as his patients. We felt as part of his family and we saw him treating other patients in the same way he treated us there are no complaints about him and we never heard anybody complain about him in the waiting room. We miss him very much but we had to move to another state. Thank you for all your care doctor shah. Terrible , intake staff was rude , tried to make us pay for a wellness plan that is covered 100% on my insurance
The WORST DR EVER, HE DOES NOT EVEN CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENT, HE RATHER YELL AT HIS STAFF THEN TALK TO HIS PATIENTS
Terrible Doctor!! Wouldn’t never recommend him!! My grandfather was in the hospital suffering for over two days. Countless times the staff of the hospital, and my family attempted to contact Dr Shah so that he can put the order in for Comfort Measures that way my grandfather wouldn’t suffer in his last moments of life. Dr Shah shut off his overnight phone services after we left several voicemails for him to contact us ASAP. We still didn’t receive a returning call from Dr Shah. In the mean time, my grandfather has been suffering. A few days ago, while my grandfather was still in the hospital, my mother called Dr Shah during the day to let him know that my grandfather is in the hospital and Shah needs to visit him. She explained to Shah what is going on and he literally said to my mother, “your father is 84 years old, how long do you expect him to live for?” Terrible bed side manor. Dr Shah deflected direct questions from my family as well as confused my grandfather with another one of his patients. My grandfather has been a patient of Dr Shah for years. Dr Shah has no compassion for his patients or the family. Several times the nurse had to advise medical procedures and recommendations for my grandfather. Dr Shah doesn’t have the common sense, education, or compassion to be in the medical field nor should he have the privilege of caring for another patient. Terrible Doctor!! Just had a 94 year old aunt, that has problems with her back and mind to see him, as this was her doctor. The niece that was taking care of her just passed away and there is no one else to do 24 hour care. Asked for his help in getting some care at home for her and he said, I don't have time for that, and prescribed some sleeping pills. YOU CALL this a doctor!
I have to say, I 'tried' to keep an open mind, but twice was enough, long story short he did not diagnose something that was serious and also tried to get me to see a psychiatrist for my fibromyalgia.: For one, I went in the hospital due to being seized by heart palpitations and lack of balance, was given 3 bags of saline before I felt better and had stated from the beginning that I didn't 'think' it was my heart but according to Dr. S. I had an arrhythmia so perhaps that or my fibro could be the culprit. When I went back to his office he said that he 'would never approve me again for a hospital stay because I was clearly a hypochondriac (this was my first time being admitted over night in 30 years, I was in shock but not surprised because fibro patients are often given this kind of 'mental' spiel so didn't voice this except to say that I 'know that I don't need a psychiatrist'). I was waking severely dehydrated and switched doctors, the new doctor checked for a UTI based on my symptoms and my heart palpitations which had started again when it was hot, and that was what was going on. Beginning to treat it, my supposed 'anxiety disorder' went away. Also, he was aware that I have an autoimmune disorder that eats moisture in my body and I had told him that, I thought maybe since my eating was having problems, maybe I was low on fluids and the hospital stay likely saved my life. Even still, he stated he wouldn't 'admit me again'. Also, to agree with Leslie, I have a severe eating disorder, of which I was underweight when I came to see him, I repeatedly told him not to tell me my weight because I 'am not to know' though I hoped to see a nutritionist soon and to give it to her and he consistently would tell me even right after asking him not to tell me. I had to pray hard not to let it affect my thinking or my eating, yet I'm still affected by it, to those who don't know, an e.d. is 'not' a 'choice' it's a mental health condition which can be arrested with right decisions such as not knowing your weight, plus a number of other things. I have to say, I 'tried' to keep an open mind, but twice was enough, long story short he did not diagnose something that was serious and also tried to get me to see a psychiatrist for my fibromyalgia.: For one, I went in the hospital due … More
Knowledgeable and caring staff. Dr. Shah really listens to his patients. He is understanding and sympathetic to all. Dr. Shah and his staff go above and beyond for their patients, by having combined birthday parties for the patients who are older. Dr. Shah is a phenomenal doctor. He takes the time to listen to others needs. He takes patients calls after hours on his cell phone and assist in any way he can. He has gone as far as helping a new patient that hadn't even been seen yet, just to assure the patient was medically cared for correctly. Little things like this make good doctors stand out! I recommend him to anyone that is needing health care. He runs his practice with the ability to cover all healthcare needs in one place!
I have been a patient of Dr. Shah since last 15 years. He is a wonderful doctor. He is very thorough and always able to take care of my medical issues. He always listens to me very carefully and always give me best advices for my health. I have also recommended my mother to his office. He is a great person and all his staff members are very helpful. I am glad to have him as my primary care physician.
The wait time was minimal, the staff was super friendly! Dr Shah took the time to listen to all my needs, and i had alot on my first visit, being the first time i've seen a doctor in a long while. I came in with complaints and left with assurance that i would be ok. Thats a big deal for me! i just recommend him over all for anyone!
Dr. Shah is a very good doctor. Before joining him, I was having lot of medical issues and my previous doctor was not very helpful. But since I have been seeing him, I believe I am improving a lot. He always positively encourage me and motivate me for keeping good health. His office staff is very nice and always ready to help.I can make appointment with his office whenever I want. They always accommodate me as a walk-in. I will highly recommend him to anyone. Great doctor!

Dr. Shah is a very rude individual. He is unkind to his staff, having brought many to tears in front of me. This is most likely there is a different one every visit. He talks more about himself in a visit then my issues, but only having switched to Humana, because they pay and my last insurance was only worth five minutes. AND HE DOESN'T LISTEN TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY. HE HAS A GOD COMPLEX AND WON'T SEND PATIENTS OUT TO SPECIALISTS BECAUSE IT TAKES MONEY OUT OF HIS POCKET.

I stood at the front desk for over ten minutes, no exaggeration. The woman behind the desk intentionally never looked directly at me and never acknowledged I was there. I finally just left.

Dr Shah has a kind and generous heart. In a medical emergency, he's strong and takes charge. He's always courteous, friendly and most of all willing to listen. I trust his judgement. He clearly explains all the patients' medical options. For that a lone I'd say he's a remarkable man and physician.

Got kicked out of the doctor's office. He didn't examine me or go over my test results. He came in asked why I changed insurance and then persisted to badger me about changing back. He told me that he only takes my new insurance for patients over 65 and that they don't pay him enough. He refused to give me the authorization I need for a cpap machine I need, and when I made it clear that I was not going to switch back told me find a new doctor and to get out. I absolutely agree with Leslie, he has terrible bedside manner. He will ask the patient a question, and then not even have the common courtesy to let them finish their answer before interupting. Everytime I have been in his office, he is arguing with one of his staff members, and doesn't even know that as a professional, this should be done behind closed doors. I would recommend that anyone thinking of using him as your primary care doctor to reconsider. I absolutely agree with Leslie, he has terrible bedside manner. When I went to see Dr. Shah about a week ago and I was amazed how warm the staff was. As I walked into the office I was greeted with a warm smile and Hello. I was promptly called back by a very peppy Medical Assistant named Mary who was very knowledgeable and made me laugh. When Dr. Shah came into the office he went over every one of my concerns one-by-one. I am very happy to call Dr. Shah my new Primary Care Physician.

Dr. Shah has the worst bedside manner of anyone I've ever heard of. He treated my sister for high anxiety following our father's suicide. Due to many issues in the past year, she and I haven't spoken to him, which increased our anxiety about the issue. My sister finally went to get help, since she was unable to function at work or personally. Dr. Shah told her he didn't know why she cared so much if she didn't talk to him, and pushed her to share details about the suicide she was not comfortable sharing. He then gave her medication that hasn't worked for her in the past. This doctor should have his license taken away. He sent my sister, who was already in a fragile mental state, to the worst I've ever seen her. He should immediately be fired, and I would never recommend a horrible person like this to anyone. Please, Dr. Shah, email me yourself so I can personally tell you how I don't think you have a soul and should never have gotten your medical license.
