Phenomenal! Dr Finn and his staff are absolutely fabulous. I came to him with an infection from a previous recent surgery elsewhere (no one to fault, just a statistical probability) after a revision of a femur and knee implant. Dr. Finn is upfront and transparent about the prospects and the process and will not sugar coat it (which I personally like). He explains every detail of what is to be expected in terms anyone can understand. His care is meticulous, not taking any shortcuts or chances. Dr. Finn is recognized both in the US and internationally as a thought leader in orthopedic surgery and development. My first surgeon from 1989 who retired in 1994 from the EU recognized his name well. For me he has been a life saver, literally. Thank you Dr. Finn and staff for the best care.

5 years ago, this "know it all" suggested i get his "hinged" knee because the original knee replacement I got elsewhere was taking a long time to heal and i wasn't doing well. He said, "I would never walk normally again if i didn't get the hinged knee." Fast forward 4 years - I didn't take his suggestion. I'm playing sports. I'm working out. My knee isn't perfect, but, i did NOT need another replacement 6 months after my first one like he said I did. He was ready to schedule right then and there. He was telling me all of this bad news in his office, (with his students watching) - it was a bad dream. They were all sullen hearing how my life was over. You could cut the air with a knife. When I got down to the foyer, I nearly fainted.... thinking i had to get another surgery at the age of 50. And, the hinged knees don't last nearly as long. I was mortified. I'm thankful to God I didn't listen to him. I stayed the course and just got a couple of clean up surgeries and lots of PT. And, time. I felt he was a "know it all" and his word was gospel. Dr. Finn gave me my life back! Amazing Doctor! Know his stuff well no-nonsense Doctor! I highly recommend him!!!!!! Other Doctors would not touch me and my situation. I am from Florida and went to Chicago to be treated by him!

Dr Finn saved my leg. I fell on my knee replacement and shattered my femur. For 18 months the shaft of my replacement moved up and down with each step. A dr at Rush told me that if anyone tried to fix it I would come out without my leg. It is almost 4 years ago that I learned about Dr Finn, and the “Finn knee” that had been placed incorrectly after my fall. He is a wonderful Dr and man. He specializes in “salvage procedures” of knees and hips. He saved my life and I am certain there is no one better.

Dr Finn has ruined my active life with the revision that he performed. Went back a number of times and he drained fluid off of the knee and said he was sorry that the surgery did not work out for me. No offer of trying to repair the damage. That was in 2015 and my knee is worse now in 2020 than before my first replacement. Beware of Dr Finn. I have surgery left hip replacement Whit him in Chicago in1982 and no problem Whit that but look like I need to replace the hip again but no insurance to cover. too bad. I need help

Dr.Finn is the best Orthopedic surgeon in Chicago he has helped my wife through 2 hip and knee surgeries. We have nothing but the deepest respect for his talent as a doctor and a person

Dr. Finn is a true healer! He healed my mother and gave her back her life! I have met numerous orthopedic doctors in my life since I was a teenager, and with Dr. Finn...I trusted him implicitly. My mother is on the younger side and needed a hip replacement revision. Her case was extremely special and severe since her old hip replacement was about to break her pelvis. He healed her! She can walk with a walker again! But, most importantly, Dr. Finn is incredibly kind, intelligent, honest and caring. And Betty? She’s so amazing, intelligent and helpful! Very bad. Still suffering and cursing him.

Dr. Finn is the best! He corrected my knee that had 4 previous botched replacements. Into 4 months post surgery and doing great. The staff at Wiess Memorial was exceptional. It was a 200 mile round trip but so worth it. Thank you, Dr Finn????

Worst bedside manner of any Doctor that I have seen. Did not fix my knee replacement like he thought he could. Then refused to extend my physical therapy and ignored my physical therapist. I would never go back to him.

I came into his office with clicking and popping in my left knee and limited mobility in my right! I got two hydrocortisone injections with lidocaine and had an allergic reaction. I got a severe migraine! My appointment was on Mon and was in pain 24 hrs later! My left knee is clicking more than before! And much more pain!

Dr. Fin and his team are fantastic! I haven't felt this good in 20 years!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Dr Finn replaced my hip 14 years ago. I never had a problem after surgery.

Did total hip reconstruction for my Down Syndrome son in 2015. Excellent results. Great doctor and superb hospital.

Dr. Henry Finn is the most kind, caring, educated wonderful doctor I’ve ever had. He has saved my leg & life more then once. He is the only doctor I completely trust to operate on me. He’s also an inventor and invented the Finn knee replacement and I have them in both knees. I also have both total hip replacements. He treats me like family & always knows what needs to be done as my bone joints were very bad. He makes me laugh & smile everytime I see Him. His compassion & Empathy are outstanding. He is a top revisionist in the country. He is also a professor of orthopedic surgery University of Chicago. He is the medical director of his bone & joint clinic at Weiss Memorial Hospital as well. Dr Finn has replaced my grandmother's hip at the fine age of 70 and most recently a knee replacement at the age of 82 both being very successful. With the knee replacement it was definitely a tougher operation for her, she has bad osteoarthritis, and she was at the point of not being able to walk or go up stairs, however she is one determined woman and after finally going through injections, massages she made the decision to go for the operation, after the couple of hours operation within hours the Weiss staff got her up and walking, training right away, after about 5 days in the hospital de Finn ordered physical therapy we took her to a nursing rehab center called Fairmont Care suggested by the insurance coordinator of Weiss really nice man answered all of our questions, Fairmont Care did an amazing job with her in her recovery progress and got her going they even came to the hospital for her follow up (pictures attached). Today we are visiting him for another consultation for her either her left hip or knee replacement, this is the only doctor she will trust in getting her back to her successfully healthy self. He is tough and will give you direct answers you may not like to hear what he has to say but his surgery records tell success. Thank you dr Finn and staff for keeping her going. Dr Finn saved my leg and my life! He is definitely a five star doctor! I can't imagine anyone giving him less than five stars. He is a genius! His staff is outstanding, friendly, and empathetic! He is a master at fixing other doctor's mistakes! The students that study under him are very very fortunate, and I make a point to tell the students they are practicing with the best ever??

Weiss hospital in my insurance network but even though he work's full time at Weiss, he is not in network. Got a 9000.00 bill after surgery. Scammed. Weiss was great.

Dr. Henry Finn is a Godsend. He revised my 1981 total hip (I was only 21 when it was first placed by a different doc). The revision was in 1993 and was HIS prototype. I'm 57 now and that Finn revision hip is STILL going strong. Dr. Finn gave me a LIFE as the problem was one dating back to childhood. I am STILL pain free. I had a knee replaced back in March 2016. Operation was sucessful, the staff at Wiess Memorial could not be match anyway. Dr Finn explained everything and all the the things he said were right on. My knee has come around to almost normal of course I can not run, but I walk perfectly

Dr Finn is among the very best Orthopaedic Surgeons in the world. I have seen some of the best including Steadman at Steadman Clinic Vail, and I would choose Henry Finn to do any orthopaedic surgery in future. His body of knowledge, decades of experience, decisiveness and common sense is a winning combination.

Surgery went well. Hospital staff at Weiss great. Checked with my insurance before surgery to be sure Weiss in my network. It was . I did not check to see if Dr. Finn WAS in my network. Even though his picture is on the walls, has an office at Weiss, I see him at Weiss, he is not in there network. Got stuck with an out of network bill for 9000.00 after surgery. Feel scammed. Never thought or told about this. Mad. Based on this I would not recommend him.

I did not care for Dr Finn or any of his team. He seemed like he really didn't care about me still having issues after he did surgery on me. He told my regular GP that he has fixed me and he did find one thing that was wrong, but I am not fixed unfortunately. I still have awful pain. My regular GP has taken over treating me because Dr Finn hasn't even approved additional physical therapy or answered any of my therapists questions, and they are certain I have an allergy to the replacement.

He and his staff are exceptionally capable and accessible. I suffered from avascular necrosis, resulting in my femur being shortened and a full knee replacement. I had 4 other '2nd opinions'. He was by far the person to choose. It's now 5 years later, and Dr. Finn, Betty and staff have kept me walking again and a normal life. I recommend him to many all without hesitation.

I went to see Dr. Finn in May 2015 due to severe groin pain. Had sciatic surgery in June of 2014 and after recuperating my pain just kept getting worse! Tried pain management, physical therapy shots and nothing worked. Dr. Finn was recommended to me and he scheduled me for surgery immediately. My hip was bone on bone and getting worse everyday. I thank God for leading me to him. Its been 6mos and getting better everyday. Have numbness on my thigh but better than the severe pain I was in before!
