Herbert Sim-On Chin

This Dr is the worst. He flirted with me while I was seeking treatment for depression. He made me feel very uncomfortable and talked about buying me a purse. At the time I was not in a good state of mind and did not know how to handle this. Looking back it was highly inappropriate and unethical. I did not go back to see him but it is sick that he would try to take advantage of people who are in a vulnerable state. He should be reported. Not sure if it's too late for me to do so, many years have passed. Stay away from this creep.

Made extremely inappropriate sexual comments, and rambled about his son's and my husband's military careers instead of focusing on my suicidal ideation. Very friendly and personable, right up until the inappropriate comments were made, which were so incredibly bad that they triggered PTSD and have upset me for years and significantly worsened my depression. His clinical decision making skills were not all there either. Seems to have lost his filter and judgement and really needs to retire. Please find anyone else to trust with your mental health.

Dr. Chin is an excellent psychiatrist. I’ve been seeing him for over 5 yrs. He is very caring about his patients well-being. His always very positive and encouraging during sessions. What a shame, came out of a psychiatric hospital and was refered here. I needed help and he called me a drug seeking Dr. hopper. I still shook your hand like a man. Its ok, ive notified many people about this. Do mind the last time I even had a psychiatrist was in 2014 and its 2019 now. How does that even equate to Dr. hopper or drug seeking? I am offended and am ashamed of how hard it is to find a psychiatrist. We need people who actually care out there. He actually told me I can't help you no one can, of course while talking over me. I was seeing Dr. Chin for a few years on and off, but he always made comments about how if he were my age he'd ask me out, talk about how it was crazy that I didn't have a boyfriend. He put me on ADHD medication that assisted with weight loss and even though that was cool, I tried telling him the pills were making my depression and suicidal thoughts worse, and instead of taking me off of them, he wanted to up my anti-depressants saying we wanted me to keep losing weight so I could get more whistles on the street. I am out of my pills and thought about going back to refill my prescription, but it's not worth the anxiety I get from having to see him. Something tells me your psychiatrist shouldn't be making you this uncomfortable especially when you're trying to get help. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Dr. Chin is the best doctor I've ever had. He is congenial, and even though he is checking on your mental state when you come in to get refills, he just talks comfortably to you, and doesn't make you feel like a customer or naive, like some doctors. I have seen him for 10+ years, and I couldn't imagine having another psychiatrist. I know several people that feel the same way. Dr. Chin is the best doctor I've ever had. This doctor should not be practicing. He sexually harassed me ever time I went to see him; asking what I would. Do I he asked me out, always made inappropriate gestures about my attire. Dr is a pervert. His opening line was always "oh your named just like my mother", the sexual comments started. I reported this several times at front office , but every single one of these ladies does not work there anymore. The two ladies that currently work there are rude, and mean and call patients crazy, including this Jennifer, she is as nasty as they come. I hope victims come forward! I can always count on Doctor Chin. He always takes his time in our sessions, hears me out and fallows up thoroughly. I would 100% recommend this Dr.

Dr. Herbert Chin is very professional and makes all our interactions speedy and comforting. Would defiantly recommend Dr Chin to family and friends.

I have been seeing Dr. Chin for 4 years. He helped through a difficult and long divorce along with addiction issues. He continues to be a strong influence in my continuing progress.

I was recommended to Dr Chin by family and I have to say I found him to be a very good listener. His advice and medical recommendations assisted me through difficult times following the loss of my wife of 24 years. I thank Dr Chin for his compassionate care. My life is back on track. This guy is one of the most condescending, disrepectful, pseudo-scientific, mentally unstable people practicing any type of medicine I've ever seen. Run from this guy as fast as you can.
