I am a retired special forces medic. On 1 Feb 22 I went to CAMC Teays Valley complaining of upper left abdominal pain. Hossam Tarakji asked me "what was bothering me" (Rude!), I replied my abdomen under my ribcage and I was afraid I may have an infected or inflamed spleen. With NO! physical exam, never checking the area for pain or inflammation he said it is a stomach ulcer and told me to take prilosec. He continued in a belittling voice to state "the emergency room is for emergencies" and turfed me off to a gastro enterologis who has a 2 month waiting period. Worst bedside manner I've ever seen! No wonder He's aftraid to post his picture. I will seek future treatment elsewhere. I am a retired special forces medic. I went to CAMC TV emergency room complaining of stabbing pain under my left rib cage. I explained I was worried I had an infected or enlarged spleen. With NO examination, no blood work and no ultrasound evaluation, Dr. Hossam Tarakji said I have a stomach ulcer and to take prilosec. He then said "the emergency room is for emergencies" (I was the only patient in the ER at 0400) He turfed me off to a gastroenterologist with a 2 month wait period. I will continue to suffer with pain and seek future treatment elsewhere. CAMC needs to evaluate their staff
