Dr. Howard Zhang is a wonderful Dr. & he listens & answer questions & he scheduled me for colonoscopy & made sure I was fine. He makes phone calls to make sure you receive results

Dr. Zhang saved my life when I was very ill. He is extremely intelligent and extremely caring. HE treats each patient as a special gift. I feel so privileged to have such a wonderful doctor

Dr Zhang is a great doctor. He is very effective and competent. He is quick to respond but also takes the time to explain everything and answer questions. He discovered I have UC and has managed it very well. He is very helpful, friendly, and personable.

Dr. Zhang is a first-rate, outstanding GI doctor. I have been seeing him for many, many years and thanks to his diligent and excellent care, he successfully brought my UC into long-term remission. As a result, I have been symptom free and in good health now for more than a decade. I still see him for follow up visits annually and surveillance colonoscopies. I travel a significant distance to do so after a medical facility near me closed -- that goes to show how highly I value his medical expertise and professional, friendly bedside manner. He is very friendly and easy to talk to and takes the time to explain everything thoroughly. He keeps track of the latest research in the GI field which he shares with me as well as the latest and best treatment options. He really cares about his patients. I would definitely recommend him.

I would not recommend Dr. Zhang to my worst enemy. His communication and bedside manner is awful, he didn’t give my husband the time of day to adequately describe his symptoms. He ordered a scope with the attitude that no problem would be found, and after it was over he was cocky and rude and said “just as I thought. Nothing is wrong.” Since this procedure, my husband has been continually vomiting, having diarrhea , and having stomach/esophagus issues. My husband followed up with another gastroenterologist and his primary doctor, both were shocked that Dr. Zhang did not order blood work, a stool sample, or a colonoscopy. Our time with Dr. Zhang felt rushed and lacked compassion. It yielded no end result for my husband and left him continuing to feel miserable. He made a lot of money off of us and did not help at all. Excellent provider I am very pleased with his treatment and management of my illness. He is always responsive to me and listens to my concerns surrounding my illness and overall health maintenance.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zhang for the past 6 yrs. I am very lucky I have him as my head GI doctor. I had my whole large intensities taking out back in 2009 and they rebuilt a new colon from my small intensities called a J-pouch. There are not to many doctors around that have experience with my situation. Dr. Zhang is an expert when it comes to the GI area. I am so lucky to have him. I have been to a lot of GI doctors over the past 12 years and his is one of the best. He always follow-up with me. He is a very hard working doctor who cares about his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zhang's since around 2014. He has always provided exemplary care to me. There was a time when I thought my life would have been a constant, painful struggle. However, Dr. Zhang's treatments and guidance have enabled me to return to a normal, symptom-free life. I hope I am lucky enough to have him as a trusted specialist I can talk to for the rest of my life. I would recommend anyone needing a specialist in regards to digestive medicine to schedule an appointment with him. I tell everyone that asks how good he is, even to other physicians! Good bedside manner, and willing to answer and explain any questions you may have in an understandable manner.

I have been seeing Dr. Zhang since roughly 2014. He provides excellent care, and answers all my questions in easy to understand ways. He has excellent bedside manner. I am so fortunate for his expertise, and I would recommend him to anyone requiring a Gastroenterologist. Were it not for him, I might never have been able to live a healthy, normal life as I am today.

I have seen Dr. Zhang 2 years ago when I was in the hospital and after for follow up.And again recently twice.He was so kind and knowledgeable about my problem. He solved both of my needs. He was very caring. He answered all my questions and never seemed hurried .His staff also were caring and efficient. I recommend him for any gastric and more problems. As a retired registered nurse I appreciate his professionalism and yet very humanism.

Dr Howard Zhang is a very good doctor, but I had an issue with his office staff. But after contacting his office, the misunderstanding was resolved. I am trying to rectify the star rating but as of now have not been successful but will continue to try.

Dr. Zhang performed a colonoscopy for me on October 26 2015. I had an awful experience. I woke up in the middle of the procedure in excruciating, agonizing pain. I was clearly given the wrong dosage of sedation, which was then blamed on me ....because I ocassionaly use alcohol. I was told to be quiet and not to talk. I found him to be condescending. I have been a member of Kaiser, now Health Span, for over 40 years, and have had several procedures, and surgeries. I have never had such a horrible experience.I hope no one else has to go through what happend to me, which is why I felt the need to speak out.
