Dr. Leatherman is terrific. I can't speak to the scheduling challenge that another patient had, but I have never had a problem getting an appointment within a few weeks. I've never had an emergency. So, I don't know how the doctor's office would handle that. Dr. Leatherman is busy no doubt because he treats patients with respect and concern. He is forthright without being rude. He definitely knows his field. He helped me greatly.

I was sent to Dr Leatherman because I couldn't get in with my primary urologist. The primary urologist wasn't really sure what was going on and recommended me going to Duke. Dr Leatherman took a look at me and told me what was wrong and how it happened. I could tell that he was very knowledgeable and I liked how he got right to the point. I would recommend him

He's great if you can get an appointment, but you can't. He went on vacation and wanted an extra day. Pushed back my urgent procedure by a month if I didn't switch doctors.

When I needed a great urologist, he was always there! He really help me through some tough times.

You don't see him - he'll pass you off to a PA or a nurse.

Dr Leatherman has monitored my ongoing prostrate issues for a number of years. A temporary elevated PSA level a few years ago to recent benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The BPH condition finally required TURP surgery to resolve. I could not have been more satisfied with Dr Leatherman's explanation of what my option were, the risks associated with surgery, and finally his skills in doing the surgery. So glad to have had the services of Dt Leatherman and staff.
