Ian R Byram

After breaking my collarbone, l was referred to Dr Byram, Orthopedic doctor. I was seen quickly, xrayed and met with the doctor. He took his time, examining my fracture and answering my questions. I made a follow up appointment.

I came in with a very painful left shoulder. Dr Byram x-rayed & found that I was suffering from some Bursitis. He treated it with a steroid shot & that evening was the first time in a week that I actually was able to sleep throughout the night.

Extremely professional; did an excellent exam; gave sound advice. He gave the best Cortisone shots I have ever had. I highly recommend.

I was referred to Dr. Byram by a friend in the industry. Coincidentally Dr. Byram had treated a previous injury years ago. Both injuries require surgery to resolve. After the way Dr. Byram operated in the first situation I have full confidence in his ability and trust in his advice. He advised trying all alternatives to surgery first and listened to how they worked or didn’t. He listened to my goals for recuperation and incorporated them in my treatment plan. Even when treating the new injury his first question was how my first injury was doing. The first injury was treated 6 years ago.

I would not go anyplace else! All the physicians at BNJ are top notch! Dr. Byram is amazing.

Really impressed with this Doctor, the facility, the staff. He was extremely honest, efficient and knowledgeable. best experience Ive had in a while!!

I had a major retear of my left subscalpularis rotator cuff tendon. He was able to fix my shoulder using an advanced technique of transferring my latissimus dorsi tendon to replace my subscalp. Not many surgeons want to even try that procedure much less be successful at it. Dr. Byram is a top notch surgeon.

He saw me and very quickly diagnosed my shoulder issue. Dr Byram explained in detail so I understood the issue and my choices. He did all I could ask of any Doctor for a single visit.

Dr. Byram was fantastic. He was great with my 6-year old daughter and explained everything.

I had an appointment with Dr Ian Byram, with the BONE AND JOINT INSTITUTE, yesterday. Been having some shoulder pain and wanted to get a specialist to look at it. Dr Byram made me feel so comfortable and relaxed along with his staff and xray department. Scheduling an MRI and follow-up week of the 15th. I'll post results at that time.

Prompt, courteous, professional and friendly service was my first impression was when I went to this place the first time. I also felt that Dr Byram gave me the best possible care he could give and gave me an option of what I need to do with my frozen left arm condition. I definitely recommend Bone and joint Institute of TN!

I have met and worked with many Orthopedic Doctors in my 45 years as a nurse-anesthetist. Dr. Byram presented as one of the most precise no sense kind of “Orthopods” I have ever met. Great customer service! I was able to make an appointment the day of the injury.

First time to see Dr. Bynum. Very impressed with his care and desire to help me understand the problem I am currently having with my arm/shoulder.

Dr. Byram was very understanding and caring during my visit! I appreciate that he has my best interest in mind. He listens to the patient and explains treatment options thoroughly. Dr. Byram treats his patients like his own family. He is a wonderful doctor.

I saw Dr. Byram at the Franklin TN Bone and Joint Institute for a shoulder injury. For a doctors appointment the experience was actually quite pleasant. The staff was professional yet friendly, everything ran on schedule with no long wait times all of which is taking place in their beautiful new facility. All of that is nice of course but the impressive part is that they listened to me, I’m sure they see the same type of shoulder injury 500 times a year but you wouldn’t know it because they didn’t presume anything, they took time evaluating my injury and were very thorough. Dr Byram has done surgery on both of my husband's shoulders and he has recovered completely. He is easy to talk to and does not rush you out the door. If there is something you need clarifying he explains it to you until you understand it. I now need surgery on my shoulder and I trust his work over any one else. His staff is very friendly and willing to occomidate your needs. My husband and I have had very good experiences with Dr Byram. Wonderful experience. Dr Bryan was very informative and took his time with us to discuss my injury and treatment plan. His staff was very nice, professional and accommodating. We traveled 3 hours to see him and it was well worth it.

He seems like a great doctor but his staff is is somewhat lacking in professionalism for there was a mix-up in my surgery. I showed up and they told me it had been canceled but nobody bother to call me back. To reschedule or apologize for the mix-up.

My PCP suggested Bone & Joint Institute of Tennessee. My left arm, well I looked like t-rex, lol. The BJI took x-rays, Dr Byram came in, went over my history, medications, when I noticed the issue. We went over the x-rays in detail, doctors suggestions. Doctor suggested home therapy, Cortisone shot in the joint. In time we are going to address my degenerative disc & joint disease, my arthritis that are all ricketing my body. Walked out of BJI feeling so much better. My visit was to serve as a second opinion for a surgery recommended by another physician. Dr. B did a great job explaining my shoulder issues by using a model. Dr Byram performed my ankle surgery several years ago and I appreciated his bedside manner as well as his patience and thoroughness in explaining things to me. I recently suspected I broke a toe and went back to see Dr Byram and was just as pleased with his assistance and explanation. The staff is pleasant and my wait time was minimal. I was given a referral by the Williamson County Medical Center Adult Emergency Room to see Dr Ian Byram at the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee in Franklin. Although my journey has just begun with BJIT I have been very impressed so far. We scheduled an appointment online over the weekend and almost immediately received a call from Dr Byram. He was very reassuring and comforting and told me he would see me right away on Tuesday morning as Monday was a holiday. We arrived at their beautiful modern building first thing Tuesday morning and within a few minutes we were called back to see the doctor. I had X-rays taken and a thorough examination of the problem area by the doctor. All of that took roughly 30 to 40 minutes. The doctor had excellent knowledge and was able to show me what the problem was very quickly. All of the treatment prescriptions made complete sense and I left there knowing I was in good hands. I'm looking forward to my treatment plan and hopefully some relief from this issue. I understand these issues can be difficult to treat and can take some time for healing to occur but the doctor's confident reassurance and straight forward approach has put my mind at ease. I was very impressed with my visit, Dr. Byram, he was very detailed with his explanation of what he felt my problem was. I would recommend his to others.

I was greeted quickly and did not wait long for the examination room. Got X-rays fast and the doctor and team took good care of me explaining everything I needed to know. Happy to have such a good facility so close by. I was able to get a next day appointment. I already have significant improvement with my after just 24 hours.
