I went to Dr. Bear for a shoulder problem and without diagnosing the problem or referring me to a specialist who could, he scheduled a physical therapy appointment. The PT asked me what the problem was with my shoulder as Bear hadn't listed a diagnosis. The PT stated without a diagnosis he didn't know how to treat it. This cost me $326.41 our of pocket for Bear's breakdown in communication/failure as a physician or however you choose to look at it. This was not the first time I've been disappointed with Bear as my primary care physician but I definitely will not give him another opportunity.

The check in process was great and the staff is always friendly. Dr Bear was very engaged with me seeking to understand what was happening by asking questions. He also allowed time for me to ask questions which I greatly appreciated. Also, he made good suggestions for treatment that have helped my situation to get better.

Dr. Bear, MD was a replacement to Dr. Austria as a physician to my grandpa. I knew both Dr. Marife & Eduardo Austrias professionally and personally - I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them both. Unfortunately, Dr. Bear treated my grandpa and mother with poorly. He upset both of them during the visit.

Dr. Bear was very good, but his staff leaves something to be desired. I had a follow up question after my visit and after messages to them the following 4 days, I finally got a response.

Dr. Bear has left me without my thyroid meds and insists on making an appointment before he refills them. I have been out for days. He told the pharmacy I needed an appointment. He didnt call me. His staff was completely unfeeling and sociopathic when I called. If I dont have my thyroid meds, my other meds don't work right. I take meds for schizoaffective disorder and PTSD. Very serious diagnosis. I have self harmed recently. Dr. Bear and his office have put my life in danger. I hope he loses his license. We left his office so mad it made us wonder why we even tendered going to him the third time. He has his own agenda and gets perturbed when the patient does not go along with his lines of thinking. We changed doctors within two weeks after appointment and got the care and treatment we needed. I do not recommend.

dr bear doesn’t listen or give me the feeling that he cares.

Not responsive. Does not follow through at all. Not impressed at all.

Called this guy regarding my mom just to get some advice to wether she should go back to the emergency room or not being she's a diabetic and other issues weren't getting better . He was the most ignorant person I've ever talked to rude and was telling me he pretty much could care less about her health very sad.

He doesn’t listen to anything you are saying and does not appear to care or at all be interested. He already knows everything. If you are looking for a provider you can communicate with and that cares about the well-being if their patients, keep looking.

Terrible physician with a five minute rule. You have five minutes with him, and he will leave whether you’re done or not. Treats elderly like garbage, and does not care about his patients at all.

Dr. Bear, or his staff, does not respond in a timely way to my husband's needs. He has several medical conditions and many perscriptions. When time for a refill we need to call the office to see why medication has not been sent to the pharmacist for refills. It takes several calls and many days to get any response. This is very frustrating and very worrisome as he has a specific condition needing continual medication or he will be hospitalized. We have been St Francis patients for decades. Our medical history is there for review as my husband has discussed directly with the doctor on multiple occasions. We are at the end of our patience. This doctor and staff never respond, won't send refill requests. They constantly insist on appointments for refill requests. My husband has several chronic health conditions in which medication compliance is necessary to ensure that conditions are not worsened and to prevent hospitalization. They don't document accurately and forget signatures. They all are rude. My husband's records are always being changed and kept inaccurate. When he brings attention to it, he is told to make an appointment to fix it. This doc must be money hungry. HIT is obvious he does not care about his patients. Seemed knowledgeable and was willing to have tests run at my request without a solid foundation (despite pointing this out to me) has a very comforting presence and was incredibly conversational/not awkward.

Doesn't listen or care- he seems to be inconvenienced by having to answer any questions a patient has. Very rude and inconsiderate.

Doesn't seem to actually like his job or want to try to figure out cause of issues. Serious superiority complex that is borderline rude and condescending at times. Doesn't think outside the box or want to take time to actually look at all options. If possible cause of symptoms isn't "typical" he wont even consider it, despite ridiculous amounts of testing from specialists and previous doctors testing ruling out typical causes. Not sure how he is as a doctor to living patients, but dealing with a death certificate he has no clue what to do. My father died on jan 30. Took dr bears office over a week to get death certificate filled out. When it was all said and done dr bears office put wrong info or left out info on the certificate twice. Then his office declined to sign. So we had to transfer it back to the coroners office to get fixed finally. This is not a bashing review just a heads up of my experience with this doctor.
