Dr. James A. Homon

I was seen at this office I had my braces on less than a year , he left a gap and filled it in with temporary fill in . Dr Homon is no help and beyond money hungry I would not recommend anybody to this orthodontist . My top retainer broke and I called to ask for it to be removed and he demanded payments for an amount that was discharged , which I am not liable for . Save your time and go somewhere else that care about patients rather than money .

We had concerns about attitude and communication at this office, and rather than working with us to complete treatment, we were dismissed. Not professional

Staff is friendly and pricing for services is fair. Easy to make payments/payoff balances. They try their best to schedule appointments around your availability.

Dr. Homon and his team are the best decision I made with getting my teeth straight again. After braces one time from a different dentist, Dr.Homon has made my teeth straight again, within 6 months using Invisalign. We’re not even done yet and I’m so excited. i hated the environment here. not only because the workers are rude as hell and i’m waiting in the waiting room longer than i am in the chair, but Dr Homans breath stinks. I think he needs to pay attention to his hygiene rather than mine.. great experience tho 2/10

They are always very prompt and courteous.

I am honestly shocked by the negative reviews, but then maybe people just aren't familiar with the process. I had braces as a kid and you don't expect the Dr to be there all the time, just like the regular dentist. Personally, I want to get in and out and appointments are easy to come by and they are ALWAYS on-time if not early. They over-explain IMO!!! I mean, just let me know if something is wrong. :-)

Great with both of my kids. Very timely and both doctors are kind and knowledgeable. Staff is personable, communicative, and kind. Very accommodating in regards to making appointments, too. Highly recommend!

We have two kids in braces and love this office. They do great work, take time to explain everything and answer our questions, but most importantly the staff is very kind and super friendly.

Reading some of these reviews... I greatly disagree with most of the negative ones. The staff and Dr Homan have always been nothing but pleasant and informative. We have never had to wait more than a few minutes and they have always had appointments available after school... My daughter had a wire poking her and they were able to squeeze her in and we only had to wait about 10 minutes.

Wouldn't recommend going here. Nothing but troubles.

Absolutely an amazing experience from start to finish! Not only is Dr. Homon wonderful but his entire staff is as well! :) The office runs like a well oiled ship...they are never behind schedule or under staffed. Scheduling appointments at a convenient time for my schedule was never an issue they were always so accommodating. The staff was fabulous about laying out the entire treatment plan, dealing with the insurance company and working with me on the out of pocket cost. I've never been offered the payment options that Dr. Homon's office has available, making it possible for my child to get the braces he so badly needed. His office is so inviting - the waiting room has coffee and water available and a game room for children to play while they wait. I've recommended Dr. Homon and his staff to several people that are just as happy as I am with their services. I truly feel like I can't say enough good things about Dr. Homon and his staff. Very happy with our experience so far. Everyone in the office is very nice and professional. We don't wait long to be seen and appointments are never longer than exactly what is needed. My son loves the choices he can make regarding his braces and all the fun contests. We did 5 consultations before picking Dr. Homon so they impressed us from the start. I do not think Dr. Homon or his staff cares about their patients. It's like an assembly line and they basically push patients through as fast as possible....its all about the money. The Dr. spends less than 1 minute per patient (it takes him longer to put on his gloves than he spends with the patient) and then his staff does all the work. If you ask questions he becomes arrogant and insulting. I would not recommend this Dr. or his practice to anyone.

Horrible experience I have four kids that need braces and two are seen here. Will not be using Dr. Homon for my other two kids horrible experience here they charged us $135 fee because they improperly put in an expander in my daughters mouth and it broke. They never have appointments outside of school hours so kids are constantly having to be pulled out of school. Also they leave you waiting in the waiting room for up to an hour which is infuriating when you have to take kids out of school

Dr. Homan was less the ethical and honest in dealing with us. We would not recommend him.

I wish I'd never set foot in his office. The tech I had several times (young woman dark hair first name started with T) was like out of a Monty Python skit of how to be the worst employee ever to interface with people. Mumbling behind her mask, glowering, just walking off and leaving, and not explaining anything or making eye contact. Then Dr. Homan comes and is insensitive and pretentious and is blatantly obvious that he is interested in the hefty fee and not the kid associated with it.

I feel that Dr. Homon cares more about making money than about spending quality time and care to his patients. The staff and assistants are kind, but Dr. Homon did an awful job with my child's braces - average rating on his best day. I would definitely NOT recommend him. There are way better orthodontist out there that really care about their patients.

Questions I asked were brushed off by assistants, Dr wouldn't explain policies but had his assistants do it, I was not given correct explanations of procedures, they did not tell me of all cost up front then had my daughter in the chair and said to pay right then for a procedure or come back for another appointment with the money - after I took off work for this one. Staff is unprofessional and rude, Doctor mostly seems motivated by dollar signs and doesn't have good bedside manner. Too $$$.

If you want your kid to be treated like an assembly line with $ being their main concern, choose him.

Dr Homon did a great job on my sons teeth. He gets compliments all the time on his beautiful smile.

We brought our daughter to this office for braces. Their plan was in two phases, phase 1 was about $2,000 and phase 2 is $5,200. Phase 1 included partial expander, braces and a retainer. After the treatment time was complete they removed the braces, but they kept the pallet expander on her upper teeth and said that would be used as her permanent retainer. This "permanent retainer" broke a few weeks or months after (I can't remember) but I called to tell their office and ask for a removable retainer, which was specifically stated in my plan that I would receive. They said no, she will be fine at this point without it. Clearly a money saving tactic on their part. Recently, when I took my daughter to her regular dentist for a checkup they told me that she has to start wearing her retainer because her wisdom teeth are starting to come in and would start moving her teeth. I called Dr. Homan's office again requesting the retainer I ALREADY paid for, and they said I had to bring her in for a consultation. At the consultation they gave me the "Phase 2" plan for $5,200 and said that she would get her retainer after she completes Phase 2. We are happy with her teeth now and we don't plan on doing phase 2. I told them no thank you for phase 2, but please give me the retainer that I had paid for. They REFUSED to give it to me and now I am left to warn anyone who is thinking about going here that Dr. Homan is a money hungry orthodontist. Please stay away from this office. Everyone in the office has been outstanding to work with! They have made it affordable for me to have 2 kids in braces at the same time. They have worked with us and all the staff is so nice!!!

Orthodontics assistants are not very nice or social with the kids, instead discuss weekend plans with other employees. I was told daughter might have lice and I'm a nurse. They asked me to take her home after they numbed her and took her wire out. Took her to dr, no lice. Now being told she has to miss school again tomorrow morning because they don't do that kind of procedure in the afternoon. Their mistake and we are the one's being put out. I am missing work again. So disappointed!

I always enjoy going to Dr. Homan's office. The staff is always pleasant, and Dr. Homan really knows his stuff! I would fully recommend Dr. Homan for any orthodontic treatment.

Originally, I had two separate appointments to start the process of my braces. When I got to my first appointment, the staff informed me that I would be able to get everything complete in one visit and they were happy to do it for me that same day. They got everything complete and got me out on time for me to still get to work. Very efficient. Very friendly. I am glad to be going through this process with this office.
