Greeted by friendly receptionist. Short wait to be brought to examination room. Nurse was professional yet personable and supportive. Dr Kemper is very knowledgeable yet describes things clearly. He us very kind and understanding.

I and my family have been going to Dr. Kemper for 20 years. He’s simply the best.

Dr Kemper took the time to go over and discuss a complex surgery that I am facing. He explained everything in detail and addressed all my questions and concerns.

Dr. Kemper is a phenomenal doctor and his team is amazing. They are all very professional, but are extremely personal. I’ve gone to Dr. Kemper for vertigo issues, ear drum issues and hearing issues, to include two middle ear surgeries. He his very well thought of at the surgery center which speaks volumes. I know I’ve chosen the very best ENT-otolaryngologist and I am always in good hands with his staff.

Dr Kemper explained all aspects of his examination and his findings. He explained why he was performing tests and why he prescribed medication.

Dr. Kemper and his staff are very personable and professional and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends.

Good all round experience- was fully informed beforehand, great follow up care.

Dr. kemper is amazing and trust him for my hearing issues. All the surgeries he did with my stapedectomy’s came out phenomenal and always takes the time to go over all options and treatment and has a great bedside manner.

My Miracle Doctor ! I don’t know how much to thank Dr. Kemper and his team . I had conductive hearing loss and went through a lot of stress after hearing the initial diagnosis comments based of CT scan results saying I have soft tissue growth in my middle ear and possible bone erosion. My ENT doctor referred me to Dr. Kemper for surgery. On first appointment itself he figured it could be fluid settlement in my ear and recommended myringotomy. He did the procedure same day at his office. I got my hearing back in few seconds from the procedure!!! . After many years I could hear the world around me clearly including how loud my toddler is after he was born. I literally cried out of happiness and knowing I don’t need to do a major surgery and most importantly I can lead a normal life. He also identified the root cause for why my Eustachian tubes were shut which requires follow up . As I write this I’m listening to my favorite albums and crying out loud. Outstanding care for many years by Dr. Kemper and his staff!!!

Dr Kemper is the best! He and his staff are extremely kind, listen well and are patient-first oriented.

EXCELLENT, does not actually do justice to what I think of Dr. James Kemper. After going through a very troublesome Cochlear Implant procedure with Johns Hopkins University (supposed to be one of the best in the USA) we moved to Georgetown. I was at the point where I did not believe Cochlear Implant would work for me, but after meeting with Dr. Kemper, he convinced me to give it another try. Dr. Kemper did the procedure on me, and this time it was completely different experience, and worked as I expected it to work. The setup and activation with Sara Morton, M.S.ED., CCC-A, Licenced Audiologist at Austin Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic was absolutely the best possible experience possible. When I compare the two of them to the John Hopkins experience, Dr. Kemper and Sara Morton get 100% rating and John Hopkins would get a 25%. From the initial meeting, to the explanation of what to expect, to the surgery and follow up, it just could not have been a better experience. It went so good I have already scheduled my second procedure with Dr. Kemper and actually looking forward to it. No matter where you are from, if you are thinking of getting a Cochlear Implant, the trip to Austin, TX to have the procedure with Dr. Kemper, Sara and staff would be the best decision you could make. Dr Kemper was extremely kind and knowledgeable. He took to time to go through the issues I have been having over the last 3 months, and understanding I didn't want to just take a pain medication or an anxiety med without warrant. He was calm the whole time, which put me at ease in knowing I am hopefully on the road back to living life normally. If only he could share his expertise on inner ear issues with other ENT's and Neurologists that either make you feel crazy, tell you that you need surgery, or pump you full of random meds that you don't need to be on. Dr. Kemper is knowledgeable, professional, and caring. He’d read my chart, spoken to the physician who referred me, and listened carefully to my account of my condition. He then explained in understandable detail his opinion. It is rare to find a physician of his caliber. I feel very lucky to have been referred to him.

I have had problems with eyes and balance since a stroke. 360Balance was less than helpful so I came here. The posturography test for balance was perfect for my problems. A short series of other eye and hearing tests also help to determine root of problem. My problem is a central nervous system problem and he was honest there's no treatment. He did have some ideas to prevent further decline. Very knowledgeable and I highly recommend.

After the second appointment and all kinds of labs and tests, he looked me in the eye and told me that one day more than likely he and I would be meeting in surgery for a CI. Although I've seen experts such as Dr. Dereberry at House Ear Clinic in LA, they share the same opinions as Dr. K. In fact, Dr. Dereberry felt I was in great hands having Dr. K do my surgery. I'm a trial attorney, and I faced losing everything, and my hearing had suffered and kept me out of the courtroom for about 3 years before implantation in 2014. Six months after implantation, I tried a 4 day jury trial with about 14 expert witnesses and won. What can you say about the two people who give you your life back? Dr. K is a great surgeon and did great follow up care post surgery when I developed a case of the flu during recovery. His CI audiologist is very knowledgeable and a great audio as well. She's also a great listener about all of your issues adjusting to CI life. I thank her often for counseling me through rough and difficult times early on. Six years later, I can hear music GREAT and am back to playing drums, guitar, keyboards and other instruments, with tonal recognition that I have not had in years. Dr. Kemper and his team took such amazing care of me when I was diagnosed with a large vestibular schwannoma. I had no idea what to expect when I got the diagnosis. Dr. Kemper personally called me and explained my diagnosis to me. He explained my treatment options and advised that he would be working with another specialist, Dr. Craig Kemper, to remove my tumor. They were able to successfully remove my tumor, but I did lose all hearing on my left side. Dr. Kemper had prepared me for that, and I really appreciated him giving me realistic expectations. Dr. Kemper is caring enough that he wrote down the medical words of my symptoms for me as I am not a native speaker. However they really makes me feel uncomfortable. First of all some white people just cut off before me and I was made waiting 1hours and a half for the appointment. The doctor was chatting with the other white people, they were talking and laughing loud. When it was my turn, the doctor spent only ten minutes and send me to MRI test which I never get the follow up phone call to book the test. Best surgeon and follow up care I am in love with my cochlear implant! He has tips and tricks that really work for treating symptoms of chronic suffering with posterior vertigo. Highly recommend Dr. Kemper and team.

Dr. Kemper was the first doctor I found after my diagnosis of Meniere's Disease that understood how scared I was and still am. Always takes the time to listen and answer all of my questions. Offers good advice and positive (yet realistic) reassurance. Provides many treatment options without pushing them on you. I am grateful to have found him.

Two weeks ago I went to repair a hearing aid. Just It last a week and its was broke. I have to paid for repair again, I do not like the service, the recepcionist is hided. Very bad place

First of all, I do not recommend anybody who is planning to purchase hearing go to this location because of several reasons. I was being referred to this location by Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). I have purchased my hearing back in 2011 through them. Audiologist who used to work there - Sangeeta Kamdar is not very tech savvy on computer, she did not programmed it right according to my hearing loss. I told her several times that I have hard time hearing and understanding speech in noisy environment, I have also requested her to turn off Automatic mode which is default program as it gives me severe headache. After several trips, I gave up going to her. She did not knew how to turn off Automatic program in hearing aid which caused me lots of headache nor she did not knew how to reprogrammed for speech in noise environment. For last 6 years, everytime I wore hearing aid, I have to turn off Automatic Program via remote control. Last month, somehow plastic tube on one of my hearing aid broke. Sangeeta no longer works there, but another audiologist fixed the plastic tube for $300. Original audiologist Sangeeta promised me that tube will replaced for free for life of hearing aid. Not only the plastic dome is fixed, She removed the Automatic program in few minutes and reprogrammed it very well. I can now understand & hear speech in noisy environment. Lots of Audiologist office fix dome, tube, cleanup for free for life of hearing aid. Furthermore, I was being told on the phone, that it will cost me $75 each ear to get new mold done. After I got the new mold done, I was charged $25 extra for 'Fitting'. I strongly do not recommend going to this place. If I will need new hearing aids in future, I will choose Audiologist that offer free repair, tune-up, programming for life of hearing aid (not until warranty expires, please look around on search, I see lots of Audiologist does that). My six years of not understanding and hearing speech have gone down the drain. I was being charged $400 for new mold on both ear,fittings on each ear, Reprogrammed hearing aid to gain speech in noisy environment and very bad attitude & customer service. I asked to have my insurance check, they did not even look at my insurance card and rejected it stating nothing is covered under insurance. First of all, I do not recommend anybody who is planning to purchase hearing go to this location because of several reasons. The best Dr. around. I've seen him since I was 2 yrs old. Spent my childhood in his office. And if my kids end up having ears like me, there is no one else I would take them to!

I was referred to Dr. Kemper by another ENT doctor who said my condition was on the more complicated side. Apparently, Dr. Kemper sees the most complicated patients for the practice. He and his staff were extremely helpful and communicative with me about my options, what to expect, things to avoid post-surgery, etc. I felt very safe with Dr. Kemper, and he called me at the end of the day of my surgery to personally check-up on me.
