You can Not ask for a More passionate caring down to earth loving person as Doctor Pickens is. Been with him over 18 years . He's the best I've came across, caring for myself and Family.

Dr Pickens is wonderful BUT that lady at the front desk is so unprofessional and rude! She rolls her eyes at the patients, she even tried to correct my daughter one visit like I wasn’t right there WITH my daughter. SO unprofessional. I wish Pickens would get a different receptionist.

I love Dr. Pickens and his staff. I have been seeing him for a while now and never have issues. I can get appointments last minute and I find all the staff to be awesome!

Dr Pickens has been my doctor for 28 years. I trust him with my medical care and would chose him over any other doctor! He’s thorough and genuinely cares

Dr. Pickins is awesome. Very personable, and truly cares about his patients. His front receptionist is so rude and unfortunately makes your entire experience awful. From the time you walk in the door, she ignores you, and then when she finally speaks to you , she is so rude. This is the second time I've experienced this.

Dr Pickens is a wonderful Physician. He is thorough and has saved not only my life, but my dad’s, too. Dr. Pickens has been our family PC for over 30 years. He still hand writes prescriptions and has paper files. He’s old school, not fancy... just gets down to business. Dr Pickens has been my dr since i was very little 5 or 6 maybe, im now 35 and have never had any problems with any of his staff. Maxine is always sweet to me. The only time ive had issues getting scripts filed is when they are extremely busy. I have never been talked down to by anyone in the office. I have waited a max of 2 hours before(in waiting room and exam room) but i pretty much believe thats normal for all drs office. He always gets my messages and returns my calls in emergency situations. He also cares for my parents, they are in their 60s.i refuse to leave his care he knows my medical history, and i dont get along with most drs. His staff also understands that i have "white coat syndrome " (terrified of any type of dr because of medical problems from birth) and my blood pressure and anxiety levels are always high in the office. Dr. Pickens is a warm, caring doctor who is personable and listens well. I am so glad we found him. His office is not high-tech but that's okay with me because I do not like the direction health care is headed in this country anyway. He reminds me of the way doctors used to be - caring and concerned about their patients.

Dr. Pickens is great. Yes, he over books his clinic, and it is a bit disorganized in there; however, he actually takes the time to sit down and listen to you. I have been going to him for about 10 years and am not looking forward to the day he retires.

This place is slow!! It literally takes over a hour just to be seen. It is ridiculous, I would not come here at all. I’m switching doctors ASAP.

Has no issues making a 92 yr old woman with an appointment wait more than 2 hours to be seen. Completely unprofessionaly run office.

Sounds like a broken record after reading the other reviews. I love Dr. Pickens. I have been going to him for 15/20+ years. I am forced to switch doctors due to his staff. I agree with everyone. His staff is just horrible. I guess Dr. Pickens is probably getting ready to retire and probably doesn't care anymore. You can forget trying to get a prescription filled. Always have had good results and medical attention with Dr. Pickens and his staff. Sometimes they are short handed but I make appointments and I have already set my time for my Doctor visit. I would not want Dr. Pickens to rush with me and not diagnose me right. Thank you to the staff and Pickens.

Dr. Pickens cooler than a fan but that trailer park ape up front.....not worth it, i just can't see Dr. Pickens allowing that type of behavior representing his practice, what makes it worse is they're ugly as a lip herpe sore.....my Lord a VERY FAR cry from the eye candy that use to work for him, just toe jam ugly and rude.

Amazing Physician- HORRIBLE RECEPTIONIST You do not get anywhere when speaking to the receptionist! I honestly do not understand how it is that he is okay with how she speaks to the patients. She does not refer any messages to him or the nurse. It takes FOREVER to get medication refills and copies of the blood work. She even admits to turning off the office phones when they are short staffed. People don't call a doctors office just for fun...PEOPLE ARE USUALLY SICK!! Dr. Pickens is great!! His office staff on the other hand is ridiculous!! very rude and unprofesional. The wait time is insane. Every appointment myself or husband has gone to has been over an hour wait just to get called back to a room. Then you have another lengthy wait until you see the Dr. Can not get results of any tests without calling 3 times a day for more than a week. Dr Pickens is great, but the receptionist is a joke, lose your paper work and never can get prescriptions filled, rude when you call, phones are busy half time when you call.. very disappointed

BEWARE of this practibe. Does not follows up with a patient regarding lab results, scans, or any type of testing. If he order testing, don't bother, you will not find out the results. Tells a patient he is makng a referral to a specialists but does not fax the referral. Very poor office staff, they will give you the run around- plenty of other good doctors in the area, stay away from this one!

Excellent diagnostician. Caring, listens, spends time with his patients. Staff wonderful except very rude receptionist.

Dr Pickens is a good doctor but the receptionist (Maxine) is very rude . She rushed me off the phone and never told Dr Pickens I called . I called to get the results to my medical test and Maxine just said " I'm sorry Angela is the one that handles that and she's out of town " I'm upset because no one from the office called to give me my results . I had to see Dr Pickens again a few days ago to get results and found out I have staff infection that no one bothered to tell me !!

Dr Pickens is a great Doctor I feel like he had a part in saving my life when I was very sick,, he to me is like family. If only I could get receipts when I call in for one, its not his fault its his billing lady, she never calls back, I have been waiting 3 weeks for this last one :(

I have gone to Dr. Pickens for over 20 years and I really appreciate his work and attitude towards his profession - his office on the other hand is a joke. They are so far behind on technology, they always lose items in my 'paper' file, they are horrible at calling in prescriptions and calling in refills from the pharmacy. They never give results for blood work, you usually have to call a few times and remind them to mail them to you. The office alone has driven me to see another physician. He is a very professional and attentive Doctor to his patients needs.The office staff on the other hand need to do a much better job at keeping his patients up to date on their medical and billing records.They are completely incompetent.

Great family doctor who really cares. The worst part is trying to get refills for medication. The pharmacy has to send multiple requests to get an okay for refills. He has been my doctor for 17 years, and I trust him.
