STAY AWAY. This guys is very disrespectful and dismissive. I need surgery for a problem that requires surgery and he said he won’t do it because “it’s not severe enough yet”. Only way to fix a hernia is with surgery and he won’t. So I’m supposed to be in severe pain and unable to function instead of getting ahead of the problem. He then interrogated my wife and I about our marriage and was trying to invalidate it because we are young. Very disrespectful and I will be going somewhere else

Dr. Pilkington yelled at me because I asked a question ? He stormed out of the room when I again said, "but we haven't addressed what I was referred here for." Seriously, stay away. There's something just off.

Good Dr. Matter of fact kind of guy but good communicator. Always able to get me in and and do what we need to. I would recommend him. A bit of a dry joker but I like him!

Stay away from this guy! ... I was having Severe pain in my stomach he said it was my gallbladder. Went in for the Operation afterwards he tells me that my Appendix is swollen and looks like it could burst but you’ll have to wait 2 weeks before we open u up again. So he basically took out a good gallbladder then did nothing for my Appendix! Talk about money hungry. This guy and his staff are complete joke. Stay away from this guy! ... What a joke. have reflux disease where my throat has to be stretch due to scaring and been stretch 7 times and it usually has to be done maybe twice a year. He did not even look at me and wrote down some notes and basically said if you are eating and you choke on it, don't eat it. WHAT?. He did not check my throat, matter of fact had very little contact. Maybe they do not understand, I am paying you to see me and just because your a Doctor d make it a privilege to see you. Thanks. Dr. Holtz from Bay City will be doing the procedure, Donate my office call to love light tree. Remember James just because you have a Certificate does not allow you to be a dink to your patients. I was checked better upon entering the Medical office, than your office. I have reported you to the board of review as I have a copy of the lack of doing your job. I should get my co pay back. My dad had a procedure done today and was very pleased at not only the results of the surgery but how friendly kind and willing to help the staff was. Our family cannot thank them enough for everything they've done for my dad.

Awful experience. Had a colonoscopy and woke up during the procedure! He just said it was almost over, so he didn't have me resedated. Had to endure a lot of pain for another 10 minutes, crying through the procedure. He didn't care and when my SO asked him why I was in so much pain, he got mad and walked off.

Wish I could give zeroes. Got mad that he was called in on Labor Day while my father was dying for an emergency dialysis port. He was rude and mean to my family and could not place the port. But instead of just failing to place the port, he blamed it on obesity and also ruined the current working port he had. Father died the next day because he was not able to get emergency dialysis in time. Do not allow this idiot near your loved ones.

Dr. James Pilington is the best surgical doctor ever. I would recommend this Doc for any surgical needs. He is thorough, fast and and a no mess around guy. Thank you Doc for such a wonderful job and for more quality of life that Micheal and I will cherish.

He did a beautiful job on my daughter’s emergency appendectomy. She had very minimal pain afterwards.

Recently went to see him for my regular ulcerative colitis check up. He said no signs of the disease anymore. Idiot as diseases don't disappear magically. Still in pain as he helped no more.....

I went in for a lump in my upper chest area. He brought his computer which he spent more interest on then with me or any concerns on my issue. He asked what was wrong and laughed and said that pea size thing. I said it swells up and actually bothers my breathing. I then showed where and about how large it gets. His response..I'm sure it doesn't get that big! Most inconsiderate doctor I've ever had...I thought my past doctors were bad..But he tops them all. Rude! I went in for a lump in my upper chest area. Horrible doctor, barely any eye contact during visit. I don't think he was really listening to me. As i told him multiple problems. He gave me A colonoscopy and said my I don't have Ulcerative Colitis even though at the age of 20 there was blood in my stool and HORRIFIC pain and got diagnosed with UC by Dr. Ofori-Darko. Basically Dr. Pilkington misdiagnosed me. My advice go to Dr. Ofori Darko instead.

Dr. Pilkington was personable, knowledgeable, and took plenty of time talking with me. As far as I could tell, he does surgical procedures well and pays attention to detail. A thumbs up from me.

Dr. Pilkington was wonderful to me. He is very good at listening and he definitely cares about his patients. I once ran out of medicine for gerd when it was a weekend and he had my script filled immediately. I would recommend him in a heaetbeat to anyone who has gastrointestinal problems. He is a great surgeon and doctor.
