Good doctor and likeable man. I have been very satisfied with him as my primary care provider.

My name is Alex Adams. I’ve been a special education student for adhd since kindergarten and rely heavily on my adhd meds to maintain. I have been a patient here for around 4 years. Unfortunately do to a reason I do not know this practice ran out of medical scripts to fill my prescription. When I found out I politely said I understand and maintained a respectful tone and words when explaining that I understand and that these things happen. I was told Friday I couldn’t refill my prescription. On Monday I called to check to see if the scripts came in the mail and was told they would contact me when they did BUT every time I’ve been told that this practice would contact me they didn’t. So what I did is I would call once and only once a day during business hours after the mail came to double check. I know this sounds a little annoying but when you weigh in how heavily inconvenient it was to my life to go without my mental health meds I feel like my problems far out weighed them having to take a phone call that was less than one minute in which I was totally polite and would always end the conversation by saying things like, “I understand. Don’t worry it’s no ones fault. These things happen.” So that they didn’t feel attacked or any more annoyed with my desperate need to get back on my mental health medication. I lose things, I forget things, I mismanage responsibilities, and tons of other negative things happen when I have to go with out my adhd medication. I just got health insurance through my company. I finally have real benefits and opportunities and I could easily lose all of that by not having access to my medication. On Thursday, 6 days after I was supposed to refill my script, I called and the secretary said “let me go look in the back to see if we can find a script for you.” Then she hung up the phone in my face. I called back immediately but someone else answered the phone and claimed they don’t know who was on the phone 2 seconds ago. I refuse to believe that though because there have literally only been two secretaries the entire time I’ve been there and they share an office at the front desk. She said she would “talk” to Dr Russel about it but since I feel I was lied to once I also suspect that was a lie. She did apologize for the other person so I am leaving two stars. After that I gave the new lady on the phone a fax number to a new doctor to send my medical records over so I can go somewhere else and finally get my medications filled without being patronized by the staff and having the phone hung up on me after insulting me. I work in the housing field and have to deal with unruly tenants all the time but never have I ever as a representative of my company patronized my tenants or hung up the phone in their face. In my field that would be an immediate write up if not get me fired. I know times are hard but this has been too frustrating of an experience for me. Been going to Dr Russell for over 20 years. We are not just a number. We have no complaints at all.

Dr. Russell is a great man, but his receptionist is without a doubt, the most unprofessional and petty woman I've ever encountered. She all but threw me out of the building at my last visit. He needs a new staff of workers, at least at the front desk.

Best family doctor I been going to Dr. James Russell MD all my life

Worst “Doctor” ever! Went to him because I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin with anxiety. He prescribed anxiety meds to me but failed to refill them on time each month. So when I would call trying to get my refill l was treated like the biggest drug addict on earth. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. Thankfully I moved out of state and am completely off of all medication due to the professional help I received. I highly recommend not seeing him.

Horrible place staff and doctor regret ever going there paying them my hard earned money to be treated like i did

Hospice pays him to sign death certificates. But he doesn't seem to be able to do that right. Or his staff don't know. How do you mess up signing a death certificates. We've been waiting two months and still not done. But apparently he's been paid by Hospice....

Cheap, but you get what you pay for. His front desk clerk is very unfriendly, and incompetent. Example: she will tell you a day to give you an appointment but will hang up before telling you the time, very strange. Once tried to make a quick appointment when I was very ill with her after years of being a patient and she was very uncaring and would not make an appointment for over a week, or a week and a half whochever I preferred. Then of course forgot to tell me the time. Quite an unprofessional place, and very dark and dingey atmosphere, and he has to refer to his computer to give you an answer. I think Dr. Russell is the best...his staff is friendly and the wait time is average. He spends a lot of time with all patients..

He's a very knowledgeable professional, who takes the time to get to know you. If you're seeking opioids, this is not the place to go. I have personally heard him cut someone off due to them miss using their medication. If you're looking for a family doctor I would strongly suggest you give him a try.

Dr Russell has been my doctor for 16 years. He always spends time with u never in a rush. Would recommend him.

Long wait but we'll worth it. Dr Russell takes the time to know his patients personally. I've been seeing him for over 10 years and have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff.

I recently became a patient of Dr Russell but I like and respect his style and friendly manners I did see him as a patiient several times in the 80'sI think and I would reccomend him to anyone,I hope to be his patient for a very long time.

He does not rush and he will talk and listen. He explains in layman terms. He also has a heart of gold, every year he donates one day of his time to see less fortunate in life.

I've been seeing him for almost five years now, and I've never had anything but cooperation and communication from Dr. Russell and his employees. He does speak in laymen terms too. Too few doctors really explain what's happening to their paitents and Dr. Russell does just that. And he follows up too. Top notch doctor in my book.

Dr. Russell has been my doctor for over 10 years. He has seen me through two life threatening illnesses, and I am still here to talk about it.

Terrible experience - totally "black balled" my entire family from receiving certain medications to ensure proper relief from anguish while awaiting referral doctors to act. Refuses to fill certain medications for my wife in which she has had these medications perscribed legitimately for three years for her life-long condition. Lied to referral doctors about my care and medication, therefore, I can not get the medical help I need which affects my ability to stay at work and to be active. His manners were less than acceptable once he believed I was a "drug seeker". There is nothing I have done in the past to prove I have an addiction or that am unable to handle pain medications. Now he is twisting the testimony I gave to him as to why I came to see him and has convinced himself that I am a bad guy and now wants to make an example out of me. I have never had a dependance for drugs and I never will. All I want is to get the professional help and care I need and deserve without a bunch of lies being spread about me without any evidence to back it up. I believe he is just confused and I don't need a confused family physician. A very good doctor to go see. He is to the point and doesn't make you take 400 tests to determine what you have
