He listens to you

Very nice office. Polite and curtious staff. Prompt professional service. Dr Steven's is very professional yet very friendly with a spectacular personality.

I have had alot of doctors unfortunately I have had to go through and dr stephens is the second one I have ever felt like a patient and he cared for me and will help me figure out a option besides just taking pills all the time. Hes willing to listen and help

Dr. Stephens is not only highly qualified, he listens to his patients. He has helped me considerably and I recommend him with no reservations. Now that I have been a patient of his for several years, I can recommend no other for pain management!

Dr.Stephens is amazing his office gets me right in and helped get my back pain to bearable. And when it starts creeping back up he gets me right in on a plan.

The level of kindness and understanding this office provides is not typical of "pain management " offices. I recommend Dr. Stephens to anyone looking for a new or looking for a change in their dr.

He listens to my concerns and comes up with a way beyond medicines to help with my pain

This person not only did not manage my pain, but put me on medication I told him did not work in the past and recommended a procedure I've already had that did not work in the past. He did NOT care about me or my pain. He was in the room less then 5 minutes. He didn't even tell my what was wrong with my back until he was up and on his way out the door and I asked if I could see my MRI results. The medication he put me on gave me extremely negative side effects, reported to them, and the office wasn't interested in seeing if I was ok at all after prescribing me medication that gave me extreme depression and suicidal thoughts. I'm glad I came out of it, but I beg of you, please see someone else, another doctor that cares about the fellow human they pledged to assist. Due to this office not helping me, it's just been another delay in trying to get pain relief while I wait to meet with a neurosurgeon. They do not care.

Dr Stephens was very professional. Answered all my questions. Very helpful in relieving my pain.

My 3rd appointment and he already knows what to do, it's great having a Doc. that will not only lesson to you, but does the work too,

No one plans on ever needing a pain management doctor. When you get hurt it changes your entire life. Doctor Stephens has never treated me with disrespect or I was there for pills or like EVERYONE in your life profiles you once you have been hurt. Dr. James Stephens is great! He offers a variety of less invasive surgeries with minimal down time and discomfort , that may help patients avoid more extensive invasive surgeries. I’ve had several less invasive treatments and surgeries which have really helped my pain. Dr. Stephens, also, has specialized medication treatment plans including compounded drugs which really do work for me! He treats you with the thought of helping you get the most out of your life by decreasing your pain without excessive surgeries and drugs. I was really set at ease with this entire practice. The ladies up front and the nurses were so friendly???? I struggle keeping up & they really helped me out with wrangling my ADHD lil guy, with the patience of saints.(he rearranges any room he walke into) Even after my appt was thru Making follow up appts was easy. Later, I found out I was out of network with my insurance they found a way to get my treatment covered at the Norman location. No other docs or staff have been so caring before. They didn't just go oh well & good luck like they could have. If you are looking for a genuine and caring doctor & nurse staff, this is your place. I am excited to continue my new treatment plan & will be thrilled when I can keep up with my family again. I wish I had been lucky enough to find them earlier. Greatest pain management doctor I have found yet. He listens to you without interrupting and your suggestions and gives his opinion on what he thinks will work best for what you are dealing with with. Great doctor. I recommend him to anyone that needs a pain management doctor.

After having neck surgery in 2018, I have severe nerve pain in my neck, back and both arms. It's the most hopeless feeling. And one of the hardest things to explain to someone. Always punctual and friendly. Really cares about his patients and does what he can to reduce pain.

I am suffering from diffuse Degenerative Disc Disease and foraminal stenosis. The debilitating disease has recently progressed to my cervical vertebrae (neck.) I saw Dr Stephens this morning as an attempt to delay neurosurgery. He administered a spinal epidural steroids injection and I was extremely pleased with his bedside manner AND his procedural technique. The injection was only slightly uncomfortable (most patients find it extremely painful) and was completed in just a few minutes. I am already feeling improvement in 6 hours (routinely requires 24 or more hours.) Based on this single interaction, I recommend Dr Stephens without reservation! Danny Glover, DVM, MPH, DACVPM
