DR. NELSON IS AMAZING AND HER STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS CALLED TO CK ON ME!!

After my botched surgery, I had seen where she had lost a 2.4 million lawsuit for a woman dying under her hand. Really has me pursuing a lawsuit now after numerous other opinions of my botched surgery! Thank god I wasnt the poor woman that died on the OR table! After having many test ran, to only find out what the scope told us...I then had a unnecessary surgery. I was promised a better and normal life. I almost died 2 days after being released from the hospital after my surgery too early. When the nurses called dr. Nelson to keep me longer, she would not even return the call!!! When I call to complain and ask wth happened to me in that OR, I get put off to a different dr. Well, I come from a family of nurses and even a doctor myself. I know a unnecessary, and botched surgery!! I'm worse than I was before I had the surgery. It has ruined my life. Dr. Lana Nelson was a very understanding doctor she always make sure of your well being and make sure you are doing the right thing. My name is terri becker and i had my surgery in march 2009 and i weigh 274 pounds and now i weigh 145 pounds and i watch my weight carefully.. thank you so much it change my life and my health.

She was very concerned about my care. She is an excellent surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner. She is very compassionate.

I can't say enough to explain the attention and information that I was given by Dr Lana Nelson, DO. She filled me with knowledge about surgery and listened to all my concerns. For anybody on the edge about weight loss surgery, don't just see any Dr... you need to schedule an appointment with her. You will be so glad you did. I am!

Great doctor all around. Couldn't say enough good about her. She saved my life with a second surgery to repair a bile leak after gallbladder surgery a week prior (different surgeon did the first surgery). She answered any and all questions me or my family had with no problems.

Dr. Nelson performed loop duodenal switch in November2016. She her a amazing and quick respond. Highly recommend and journey clinic for bariatric surgery.

I researched to find a compassionate bariatric surgeon after issues with Integris Weight Loss Clinic and discovered Journey Clinic in Norman. After meeting Dr Nelson and her wonderful staff, I knew Journey Clinic was the place for me.

I too am having the same issue with Lana Nelson staff;her staff has been putting me on the run around. stating they submitted paperwork to insurance company on my behalf but they hadn't send them anything according to my insurance company.Its 3 months later and I am still going through the same issues. If ur approved she is great but once denied they don't go to bat for you at all. This is my opinion, my feelings, and what I have been dealing with since April when I got my denial letter.

If you are able to go to a different bariatric surgery doctor please do not go to Dr. Nelson. When I began the long 4 month process before surgery I was extremely pleased with the staff and process; however after I completed all of the requirements for surgery (which takes 4 months or longer) I ran into problems with the staff after my insurance denied the procedure. Then I proceeded to not get answers and not get returned phone calls. Now I'm stuck after already spending thousands!!

Dr. Nelson was my surgeon for gastric sleeve surgery in 2014. She was informative from the beginning, addressed any concerns I had from the beginning. Appreciated the program that she has set up for the surgery. I went into her office for my consult, and their office did the rest of the work. Set up every appt. that I would need during my pre surgery. (physical therapy, all of my nutritionis appt's, pysch , support group, etc etc.. My surgery was a success- easy recovery. She gave me my life.
