Dr. Orrock is a very thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate doctor who puts her patients first every single time.

As a physician, you can imagine how picky I am. As a father of a young daughter who is in need of help from a rheumatologist, I’m downright obsessive. Dr Orrock is superb. Personable. Knowledgeable. Kind. Our visit today could’ve gone in so many different directions. Finding out as a preteen that you have arthritis and will require medication can be a very stressful situation. Dr. Orrock handled the situation with our daughter and us with the upmost professionalism and kindness. I would recommend her at the highest level to anyone needing to visit with a pediatric rheumatologist. Thank you to Dr. Orrock and the wonderful (overly patient) staff for an outstanding visit today. As a physician, you can imagine how picky I am. As a father of a young daughter who is in need of help from a rheumatologist, I’m downright obsessive. Dr Orrock is superb. Personable. Knowledgeable. Very grateful for Janet Ellen Orrock, MD and her team. The appointments are thorough. Dr Orrock, does not just prescribe meds and send kids on their way, she educates. She educates both child and parent. This is so important for those living with and supporting those with chronic illnesses, conditions that will last a lifetime. Knowledge is power. My newly diagnosed child has been gently guided to understand what is going on inside and to id: best next steps (both in the short and long term). It is scary to learn there is no cure. Knowledge acquisition re: the science behind the condition(s) and treatment(s) truly does curb anxiety and help child and parent move forward with hope and a sense of control (control over self-care, from a medical & emotional standpoint). My daughter began experiencing swelling and knee pain when she was 2.5 Dr. Orrock was able to get us in to see her in a very timely manner. After some other testing, she was diagnosed with JIA. One of my favorite things about Dr. Orrock is the time she takes with the patient and parent. She drew on her white board to make sure everything was explained well, and had time for all my questions. We love Dr. Orrock. Her office is warm and friendly. She takes time to explain everything to us, and to my son. I have never seen a physician spend so much time to make sure all options are presented. Her office receptionists are helpful. I cannot recommend Dr. Orrock enough. She is very special.

Dr. Orrock is a patient doctor and knows how to share her vast medical knowledge with my daughter in a way that she can understand. Time is never wasted in her appointments.
