Dr. Smith saved my husbands life. After a colonoscopy resulted in a perforation of the bowl (done by a GI doc.) Dr. Smith explained our options. We really didn't want to do surgery but after my husband spiked a fever Dr. Smith left dinner with his family to perform emergency surgery on my husband at 8:30 pm. He has been a great resource and has always been available to answer our questions and fill out our short term disability claim. We've always felt listened to and our questions were taken seriously. We are truly grateful for Dr. Smith and his team.

Dr. Smith did my gallbladder removal and did an awesome job. I can tell he cares about his patients. My recovery time hasn't been to bad at all. I highly recommend Dr. Jared Smith.

BEWARE Dr. Smith did surgery on my Hiatal Hernia. I was on short term disability. I saw Dr. Smith 2 weeks and 4 weeks post op and told him both times I was exhausted and I had a pain under my left rib and I thought I would need more time off of work. He said fine I quit getting my disability check and found out the he never notated I was exhausted and a pain under my rib. I talked to hin twice and he said i never said that. My wife had surgery this morning . I was told I would be up dated on how the surgery went. Well that didn't happen . Been sitting all day . Had to come up to my wife's floor to find out what is going on . Still waiting surgery was over about 12:55 recovery nurse called at 2:30 to let me know she was in recovery. Dr Smith is a very good and thorough doctor. He explained my current congratulations and then just what he was going to do as far as the surgery. I’m well pleased and would not hesitate to back if I need to.

Dr. Smith is a great Dr. He explains surgical procedures very well and in a way the patient can understand. He has a pleasant bedside manner.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Smith. He fixed a very large Hiatal Hernia that allowed my stomach to slide into my chest cavity, it was very unpleasant. The day after surgery I felt like a new man , little to no pain and with time to heal should be back to near normal. Still have to exercise caution with lifting and not overdue working. Female in my 70s. I did my research prior to choosing Dr. to repair a hernia that I’ve been putting off for too many years. Dr. Smith was my choice and it was a good one. He answered all my many questions, scheduled me for surgery and now it’s done! I only wish I’d done it years ago. He’s very good. I’m a week past the surgery and feeling great. Can lift heavy things again without worrying or aching. The other very important (to me) quality he has is that he listens and is patient in answering questions. During the 1 week follow up visit after surgery, I had one complaint about something that occurred at the hospital. By the time I returned home, he had called and left a message that he’d passed on my complaint!! That’s being heard instead of placated. I highly recommend.

Dr.Smith is very thorough in his care. He takes time to explain and answer any questions you may have. He truly cares for his patients and you can feel that when you are with him. I’m always confident that I’m in the best hands when he’s my surgeon. I absolutely would recommend him over and over to my family or anyone else. The office staff is friendly and professional! I’ve received some of my best care at this office and that’s saying a lot as I’ve had several providers in the last couple of years being a cancer patient.

I was in a serious car accident and had many injuries as a result, some of which were life threatening. Dr. Smith saved my life! He was so caring through this traumatic experience and was kind to me and my wife. He treated us as though we were family through out my 9 day stay in the hospital and all of my follow up visits. Dr. Smith went above and beyond for my Family and I. I was originally scheduled for a surgery with Dr. Smith for my cholecystectomy, however my symptoms got so bad I ended up needing it earlier than scheduled. Dr. Smith contacted me immediately and helped me get checked into the hospital. He made sure I was thoroughly examined by the GI to eliminate any additional risks before my surgery. I have never really had surgery before so I was beyond scared. He has the best bedside manner and helped me feel confident and comfortable with the surgery I needed. My surgery went well and was so quick. Dr. Smith and his staff are the best with communication too! I never had to wait for a response or call back on anything, Dr. Smith always responds immediately, almost seconds after we reached out and was sure to take care of any concerns or paperwork needed. From start to finish, I can honestly say Dr. Smith is my Hero! He truly cares about his patients' health, comfort and family! I love Dr. Smith and his staff is amazing too!! Thank you Dr. Smith for all you do! We Truly Love You!

It's been almost a year since my inguinal hernia surgery by Dr Jared Smith. Glad I did! Thanks to him and his robots I am able to lift weights and deadlift with no problems.

Dr. Smith and his staff were great to work with. I had a pretty severe hernia and after the surgery was able to resume my life with almost no pain, discomfort or down-time. I would highly recommend Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith is a extremely caring dr. He did very well on a rush job. I am so thankful he opened his schedule up for me. Did a fabulous job. Office personnel very nice individuals. We need more of these people.

Dr. Smith is a very thorough and caring doctor. He took care of me after I was in a motorcycle accident, which I have very minimal scarring. Recently he performed my hernia surgery and again was very attentive to all my questions and concerns. Would highly recommend Dr. Smith for any medical treatment!

Dr. Smith surgically removed stage 3 cancer from my colon and took the time to set up referrals for chemotherapy and ongoing treatment to ensure that all my cancer would be removed from my body. I was hospitalized 3 days before Dr. Smith cane to see me and like magic I had tests/labs ordered and finally peace of mind knowing I had answers for the pain I had been experiencing and come to find out I need to have gallbladder surgery which was done 2 days later. Dr. Smith keep my family and I very informed. Definitely appreciate Dr. Smith ??

Dr. Jared Smith took exceptional care of me. He explained everything to reassure I was prepared.

Everything went perfect, right from the initial consultation, through pre-op and the surgical procedure itself, to the follow up consultation one week later. Everyone I came in contact with performed at 100%, and the surgery by Dr. Smith went so well that I had no need for pain medication afterwards. In fact, the surgery on my neck was done so well, that I had no one even ask me what had happened to my neck. I cannot say enough about the skills, the manner in which he explains things, and how easy he is to talk to. He really makes you feel like a personal friend. I highly recommend him, and if there were 10 stars rather than 5 for this rating, I would definitely given him a 10.

Had major surgery in colon and other locations. Dr Smith literally call my son in the operating room to update on changes taking place. He also gave me his cell phone number on the first visit with permission to call him any time for questions etc. Outstanding care from Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith saved my life. I had a gastric perforation and became extremely septic and Dr. Smith performed the surgery on me. I've read testimonies of others who have been through the same thing as myself, most all had to spend months in the hospital post surgery. I feel blessed and lucky, because after the surgery and being in a coma for 16 days, I felt good enough and strong enough to go home after a week! Dr. Smith has followed up with me to ensure my recovery is going well. 10 stars!!!

Slow in getting back with test results. Showed no urgency or willingness to find solution. Terrible experience.

After enduring discomfort and having many tests for over a year, I was taken by ambulance to the hospital in extreme upper chest pain. Heart ruled out as problem. All tests were inconclusive. Suspected bad Gall Bladder. Dr. Smith performed major surgery and removed diseased Gall Bladder. Dr. said it was the worst one he had seen in many years. Very satisfied with Dr. Smith and St. Luke's East Hospital.

Horrible, terribel experience. Surgery was scheduled by his Professional Scheduler and then changed it to 3 weeks later because she was apparently confused. On the date of surgery, again 3 weeks after we were originally told it woudl take place, Doctor showed up 55 minutes late and said he was stuck in traffic. I called the office at 35 past start time and nobody knew where he was. We were told by his office thast he did not have a previous surgery. Follow up was another mess. We left!

In an 8-month period, I had visited over 35 doctors with extreme pain that no one could diagnose. By the time I presented to the Centerpoint ER, I was ready to give up hope that anyone would find what was wrong. I begged Dr. Smith to find the source of my pain. He performed surgery on me, and found that my gallbladder was quadrupled in size and ready to rupture. I also had pelvic adhesions. Within 2 days, I was back to myself and walking upright again. He truly saved my life.
