Edit: I was here June 24th 2021. I have a leg length discrepancy and went in to have it measured. I moved from North Dakota and my chiropractor up there didn’t have a problem measuring my leg difference. And she didn’t need any special tools to do it. I didn’t think it would be an issue down here. This was the worst chiropractor I’ve ever been to. The staff wouldn’t let my dad come back with me and kept lying to him. The chiropractor himself doesn’t believe in leg length discrepancies and pretty much laughed in my face. He then went to the receptionist desk where my dad could hear him making fun of me and going on and on about how no one even has the tools to measure a leg difference. We visited Dr. Reed as a first time patient today to have my 16 year old evaluated for leg length discrepancy. dr reed was so very personable and friendly. He’s extremely knowledgeable a helped my son feel at ease his first visit. My son really liked dr reed!!!

Im feeling better and better every visit. Its not too often you experience compassionate people...its a positive experience with every visit...God Bless Jason and his crew????

Best chiropractor around

Dr. Reed is amazing I am 8 months pregnant dealing with hip and back pain and he knows exactly how to adjust me and get me back to feeling myself! I highly recommend him awesome guy!

My husband spoke very highly of Dr. Reed and his staff and after my first appointment I understand why! They are all SO nice and caring and definitely make you and your issues a priority. I couldn't be happier with my experience and will definitely be recommending him to anyone in need.

I have a degenerative disc in my lower back and I usually slip a disc/pinch a nerve a couple of times every year. I have used chiropractic care in the past, but I needed a new doctor when I transferred to Athens for my job. Dr Reed was recommended by a couple of people at my new job. Dr Reed’s treatment has been great. Both he and his staff are friendly and helpful - best of all they are all extremely knowledgeable. Traction reduces the pressure on the disc and pinched nerve. The adjustments help keep the discs in alignment. The therapies are just the icing on the cake. I have TENS electrode therapy during traction & ultrasound and massage therapy before the adjustment. When I first started treatments, I had trouble walking and could only sit if I leaned on one hip. My pain level has gone from 8 to 1. I just have minor aches and pains. This man is unbelievable. He threw me out for asking, politely asking to not have additional xrays. He wouldn't even help my son. His reaction was insane. I literally said i would prefer not to take them and offered to get recent xrays from my previous chiropractor and he stormed out of the room, got loud with his receptionist asking if she told me that was ok and then yelled for them to show me out. My mind is blown. How does he care so little about people. I have never seen a person act like that. It made me scared. His receptionist was on the verge of tears. He must treat them awful. Update: I received a call from Shea, apologizing for the less-than-expected customer service. I appreciated the way she took ownership of the issue and did not make her explanation an excuse. Because of the follow-up, I updated the review from a 2 to a 4. ................................................................................ I threw out my back and called at 8 am on Monday (this) morning to make an appointment . Regina was not very pleasant or empathetic on the phone and was not able to set an appointment until late Wednesday afternoon. So, I found another chiropractor with friendlier staff and was able to get in later that same day. Unfortunately, Dr. Reed won’t be getting my business this time. From the other reviews, it sounds like Dr. Reed does a fantastic job, but first impressions are always important. Maybe miss Regina had a bad morning, but customers should never know it. Both of my parents go there regularly, and I started after an accident that left me in pain for months. The pain after being thrown off my horse was unbearable and was keeping me from sleeping normally. Was suffering from severe poot pain from plantar fasciitis . I tried the massage therapist and found no relief . Dr Reed and his staff were able to relief the pain after several visits and now the pain is gone and I am able to walk normally.Dr Reed is a great person and knows what he is doing.

Dr. Reed and his staff have really got me back on my feet again. I hurt my back from picking something up, I shouldn't have picked up, on a Sunday and went to him on Monday in bad shape to the point that they had to help me up off the table. He followed procedures and made sure nothing more serious was going on before adjusting me by taking a X-ray which showed him exactly what was wrong. He focused his attention in that area and by the next day I was able to get up on my own. By the following week with a couple more adjustments along the way I am back to normal. My babies and I love chiropractic!!! I have been to several even worked for one but this man right here is truly a great man of God!! He reminds me on a daily even though most of time I’m not present it’s not him it’s our Father! I’ll never forget the day that I came to him in concern about my dad being in pain. After CCI decided to give him a break from his treatments my dad got to where he couldn’t walk. Now the first time I tried to introduce my father to chiropractic all they cared to say is nope not doing anything you just need to accept the fact your dad is going to dye lol well almost a year later I convinced my dad to going and although Dr Reed Chiro and I knew what was true he still put himself aside to adjust him. Everyone in Athens knew my dad was not a man that went to doctors but because he trust me he trusted Dr Reed. My son who is 11 years old and very active started having back issues. We went to a orthopedic first and he prescribed therapy. Before we started a long set of therapy my friend suggested we try Dr. Reed. I am so glad we did. After one visit my son came home and did a flip on the trampoline! My son was concerned that playing baseball would be in jeopardy as he could not bend over quickly while his back was hurting. He was very happy to report after practice ( same day as first visit) he had absolutely no issues practicing his positions of catcher and pitcher. Yay! A year ago I started having echoing & roaring in my right ear. After three months on steroids & antibiotics and several visits to family doctor & an ENT all they could suggest was a hearing aid. I started going to Dr. Reed in May, with pain in my hip from running a 5K. After doing a thorough evaluation, Dr. Reed assured me that he would be able to help me and get me back up and running again. He is absolutely wonderful and so is his staff. The atmosphere in his office is so positive and uplifting. I always feel better Physically and Mentally after my visits there. I have been seeing Dr. Reed on a regular basis for chronic back problems since 2013. I am 72 and suffer to arthritis plus I have a tendency to forget that I'm not a teen any longer so I overdo. Dr. Reed is the most understanding, caring chiropractor that I know. He will always work me in when I need him. He and his staff are like family to me.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Reed in July after relocating to Athens. My husband had heard me make those painful noises and noticed the grimaces one makes when body parts hurt. I thought I was tough, but my husband did not agree and made me an appointment. The process of moving had made walking painful, getting up from a seated position difficult, and I had a burning sensation in my Achilles' tendon. In just a few visits, the results are fantastic. When I first came to see Dr. Reed I was facing two different neck surgeries, after only a couple weeks of adjustments I am feeling much better and am going to hold off on surgery for now. I can not stress enough of the compassionate care I have been given by not only Dr. Reed but everyone on his staff.

Dr. Reed and his staff are so kind and welcoming. From the moment they answer the phone or you walk through the door you are greeted with kindness. I have been to Dr. Reed in the past and he has always helped me to feel better. I came to him again as I was told by another specialist that I would need to learn to deal with my pain and chronic headaches, and might need to be referred to yet another specialist for another opinion in several weeks if my "problem" didn't get better. So I decided to take my scans to someone I knew would look at them and give an honest view of what is going on and advise if there was help/hope. I KNEW Dr. Reed would give me an honest (3rd) opinion and review of my scans. I love that he is honest, to the point, gives the glory to God and will tell you if he is not able to help you. Dr. Reed takes his time to look over your x-rays/scans and explains to you what he sees and what can/should be done to help correct the issue. After visiting other doctors that didn't even spend 5 minuets in the room with me to tell me they didn't know what was going on it was nice to have someone take time to thoroughly look over and explain what is going on and what can be done to help. My back went out a few weeks ago, and after a week of hoping the pain would go away on its own (it didn't!), I called Dr. Reed's office late on a Tuesday afternoon and they were able to get me in at 11:00 the next day. I had never been to a chiropractor before so I didn't know what to expect. First of all, the office and nursing staff are top-notch...kind, helpful, and sympathetic to your issues. Dr. Reed is no-nonsense and high-energy. He listened to what I had to say and was very direct about his approach, and also what I needed to do to recover. I'm a 25 year old female weightlifter. Last year, I hurt my back so badly that I could barely walk. I thought I was going to have to quit my job the pain was so awful. I went to two orthopedic back specialists who both told me there was nothing they could do to help my back and wrote me scripts for pain medicine to take for the rest of my life. I then went to see Dr. Reed. He explained that my L4 and L5 vertebrae were twisted in opposite directions, but with therapy and regular adjustments I would be able to go back to my normal life. After the first adjustment, I cried because I finally felt relief after months of pain. Since then, I go every couple of weeks to readjust my lower back. I came to Dr. Reed as a last ditch effort to help my shoulder pain that interfered with every day tasks. I had never been to a chiropractor, and was kind of nervous, but within a few minutes I felt right at home and like Dr. Reed really had a vested interest in healing me.
