Dr. Jayalakshmi Pampati

Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I was refereed to her from my primary doctor with a diagonisis of lupus because all of my lab work had came back positive and I have all of the symptoms. Dr.Pampati, instead of ordering more labs or anything was in the room with me maybe 2 mins and told me it sounded like I was just depressed and needed to get more sleep. I drove 2 hours to be told that my positive lab results meant nothing.

Not compassionate at all. Has a smart mouth. Contradict herself. Made me feel less than human. Do not recommend.

My husbands surgeon is in Hazard KY and we live in WV so we have to travel that way to see him and had a following up with him and thought we would get referred to her since she was near his surgeon.........A waste of time!!!!!!! Drove 4 1/2 hours to see this doctor and my husband was in there with HER for 2 minutes. Was told his pain was due to back surgery and to not let anyone else cut on him. Told him he had fiber myalgia and unless something else came up he didn't need to come back to see her... Like we would... Ugh You would think the first time appointment she would take a little time with you, get to know your history and maybe even do some blood test or something. I have never been so disappointed. We will never go back to her. All she asked my husband was are you going to sign up for disability.... 3 times she asked him that. NO i just need help I am in pain he said. Her reply don't let anyone else cut on you. dear lord........ sorry excuse for a doctor.......

Worst experience ever in my adult life. Does not listen and when I left I cried in the parking lot at wasting my time, energy and for having hope she could help me find a way to manage my illness and symptoms.

Because my lab work didn’t show a high positive RA factor and because she “couldn’t see deformity” I don’t have RA. Yet she started me on two medicines for arthritis. Oh and a few months later, my PCP did bone scan and X-rays, I do have RA. Shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, feet, and hands are already marred. I’m scheduled with a new rheumatologist, hopefully one that actually takes patients seriously and listens. Just because I’m young doesn’t mean I don’t have it. Kids get RA, infants even. Don't go to her please! She didn't even spend anytime with me and was not even concerned. She wasted my time! Not professional at all and more of a disgrace. Stay away!

Do not go to her if you seek answers or relief. She does not help.

She also had me squeeze her hands, then told me I didn't have RA. Then she decided to give me some type of a sulphur Drug that treats RA, I FIND HER VERY ARROGANT AND IS TOO COMFORTABLE WITH TALKING DOWN TO PATIENTS AND STAFF. SHE'S BEEN THERE NEARLY 30 YEARS.... I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS "DOCTOR" TO ANYONE!

Without even giving me an exam like blood work or even talking to me, she claims I don't have RA just by squeezing her hand for 2 seconds. That was 3 months ago. After getting a much needed second opinion including blood work and many tests it was confirmed that I did indeed have RA. Do not go to this obvious quack. In April of 2016, I began experiencing sudden pain in both of my knees. After X-Rays and a blood test, doctors noticed I may have an autoimmune condition, so they referred me to Dr. Pampati. After 5 months of waiting to see her, she done NOTHING to help me. Instead of doing further testing like any other doctor would have, she told me she didn't know what it was and said I might grow out of it. She gave me medicine that caused my leg muscles to become inflammed. I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG!!
