Dr. Postma and the staff are fantastic. While he didn't do my original knee surgery, he has provided expert follow-up w/ that same knee, has done a great job with my wife's knee cartilage repair, and has provided excellent consultation for my children, who are high end gymnasts. I appreciate his demeanor, his expertise, but I really appreciate his conservative approach. Surgical intervention is always the last resort, even though it's sometimes necessary. My father had an absolutely horrible experience. Dr. Postma performed a hip replacement on him. After weeks of excruciating pain and no explanation, he went to the ER at U of M. They immediately admitted him after seeing his CT. The screws used for the hip replacement went all the way through the bone and into the muscle. The second surgeon was astonished and said the original cup was not the correct size and it appeared Dr Postma used additional long screws to try and make it work anyway…? Dr Postma is great. Compassionate, patient, knowledgable, and ON TIME. His staff is great, the office pleasant; honestly, seeing him was a breath of fresh air. I was in and out in less than an hour, and that's WITH X-rays and a steroid injection for a bum shoulder. Can't recommend highly enough!

Dr Postma went above and beyond today, as he agreed with my primary orthopedist, Dr Maskill (who was ill), to see me today so I could get my cast removed and receive my “walking boot”. I cannot even begin to thank him enough for his thoughtfulness and generosity to see me today. Please, thank him again, for me. What an awesome “Christmas present”!

He is very friendly and caring. He has done surgery on both of my knees in the past. I saw his this visit for pain in my hips. He suggested a few options and we decided to have him give me a steroid/cortizone shot in both hips. They feel better already. He's a wonderful doctor and any of patients are blessed for his help.

Everyone that I spoke to in this office is very kind and helpful. I was terrified that I may need surgery, and Doctor Postma quickly diagnosed a problem that could be corrected with rehabilitative exercises. The pain in my leg has dramatically reduced after only a week. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to see Dr. Postma.

My father called this Dr. to complain about pain he had in his neck after his surgery from him. They said they could do nothing for him and hung up on my 75 year old father. Do not go to this Dr. for any medical procedures.

"Dr" Postma supposedly repaired a tear in the cartilage and meniscus of my knee in 2018. Within 1 week my surgery my knee popped loudly. I had to force him to order tests to see what was going on with it. He ordered an MRI not taking into account that I have a genetic disorder that causes loose joints. Several months later I had a chiropractor look at it and he popped it back in place relieving most of the residual pain. I still have major problems with the knee. Dr. Postma is extremely knowledgeable and he is a very good listener, he explained everything to me and has been a Godsend to helping me alleviate the pain I've been suffering through... I would highly recommend him to all my family and friends.

Last year Dr. Postma performed a right carpal tunnel release, and on March 6, 2020, he performed a left carpal tunnel release, both successful surgeries. Dr. Postma has changed my life. If you have ever suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome, you know the symptoms consist of tingling, numbness, and a sensation of your hand falling asleep; thus limiting your activities. Holding a book, applying makeup, fixing your hair, typing, holding a mug of coffee, or driving your vehicle become difficult things to do. I cannot thank Dr. Postma enough for how he's changed my life. He is such a friendly doctor, has a warm bedside manner, he puts you at ease, and he has a great staff! I would not hesitate recommending Dr. Postma for any surgery you may be anticipating. He will not disappoint you! Thank you again Dr. Postma for all that you have done for me!

Very pleased with my visit. Dr Postma was extremely knowledgeable and informative about my condition and explained everything to me in a very understandable way while also being a very good listener. He is an extremely friendly and personable physician and his staff was very welcoming and helpful as well.

Extremely impressed with my total experience. The staff was great as well as the doctor. He spent a good amount of time explaining everything, through exam, and eye contact the entire time. Would not hesitate to recommend this doctor to anyone. It was a very pleasant experience!

Dr. Postma performed a total knee replacement on me 8 weeks ago and I'm going back to work! Dr. Postma is a very caring, compassionate, skilled orthopedic surgeon. He listens to you and answers all your questions with a smile! I would recommend him for any orthopedic procedure you may need. His office staff in the Coloma office are very good too!

We would recommend Dr. Postma to anyone. The office is warm and friendly. All of the staff are wonderful. The doctor actually takes the time to talk to you and he listens. His PA is wonderful and caring. The surgery at a small hospital was lovely. We've been to others and we would highly recommend this doctor to you. We've also had other friends with the same results.

Dr. Postma was very caring and knowledgeable about my condition. He spent time showing me different exercises to do. He gave me suggestions and other options for my treatment.

I would highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Postma. He was very caring and he actually listened to you what you had to say to him. A few times he kept asking me anything else I needed to ask him. I had to have Carpel Tunnel surgery a few weeks ago and I am healing nicely his staff said.

He is awesome I have already recommended him to 3 other people. Very informative compassionate friendly and when he tells u what to expect,well he tells u the truth I had my right hand done December 2nd and left hand December 23 it took me several years to have carpel tunnel syndrome surgery I'm feel stupid to have waited scared to have it done but I'm sure God brought me to this man Doctor. His office people r the best very nice and understanding. I am so so happy with Dr. Postma and his team.

On October 17 of 2016 I had shoulder surgery today with not quite 6 weeks gone by I have fantastic range and my motion is off the charts . I have only had a month of physical therapy. The therapist that are treating me are amazed at the progress I have made this is to Dr.Postman. The one of them told me if he had to have surgery he would go see Dr.Postma.

Yes I would consider Dr.Postma he's very understanding and anything explained to him he always check into it and get the job done very excellent.

The most caring professional I have dealt with in years. My mother had a fall requiring emergency surgery. He was very compassionate and explained everything to the family. He never seemed in a hurry and always had my mother's interest at heart.

Personable, professional, easy to talk to, patiently answered my questions and discussed treatment options. Would recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Postma met me prior to, and after the surgery, explained every step, and took the time to put me at ease. His PA was a reassuring presence as well. We are truly blessed to have a physician of such skill as well as approachability. Every detail was attended to and explained in a way that minimized any anxiety. We truly have an exceptional surgical team at Lakeland Hospital Watervliet. With my left shoulder surgical procedure, I had minimal discomfort and minimal swelling.

Dr. Postma was amazing. He was pleasant, professional and caring. He performed surgery on my hand with excellent results. He took plenty of time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions.
