Jeremiah Henry Kearns

I've worked with Jeremiah for years and the amount of time, patience and understanding he has for his clients and the people in his everyday life is incredible. He has helped me professionally and personally take on many challenges that were keeping me down in life. I would recommend him for all counseling needs.

I have been a client of Mr. Kearns for the last 25 years of my life. I am currently 29 years old and have been seeing him since I was 4 years old. Mr. Kearns has provided me with some of the best coping skills and therapeutic guidance that I have been able to positively apply in my life! He has always been very respectful and professional whenever I have provided personal details into the session. To be honest, when I turned 26 years old I was taken off of my parents insurance and had to find my own. I actually found my own insurance provider that he accepted JUST to REMAIN on his case load. He has been very supportive on provided 100% THE BEST and EXCELLENT care I have ever had. He is HANDS DOWN the best therapist I have ever had in my life. Honestly, if I had the choice of having him as my provider for the rest of my life, I personally would want this to happen! I would 100% RECOMMEND him to anyone! My first two appointments he did not arrive on time. That was an immediate red flag in my brain. When we only talked about my problem, and not about how to fix said problem, it felt like there was no initiative on his part to get me better.

I recently had a mental health stay at a nearby hospital. I had high hopes that Jeremiah would be the one that would at least, 1%, pull me out of the depths of heck of my own brain. To be clear, he was friendly enough to talk to, but I felt no better and tried over and over to establish some type of path out of this heck with him. He didn't seem very interested in this and instead wanted to talk about why I had depression when I'd already told him for weeks, when I wanted to make a plan of action to fix it instead of sitting in the past. I think if you don't know how to do what a client is requesting instead of wasting their time, you should find someone that can help them - surely you have friends in this field Jeremiah? I asked for referrals to other therapists and after waiting for 3 months I eventually went out and found my own.

Jeremiah is a wonderful Therapist. He has helped me with my depression on and off over the years. I would absolutely recommend him to others.

I am writing this review because I see that an unhappy person has left him a negative review and I wanted to counter. Mr. Kearns has been my counselor off and on for many years. He has always been professional, kind and has helped me figure out some important things in my life. I have never felt he focused on collecting copays but since that is how he makes a living, I have never minded his request for the copay at the end of the session. Please don't judge him based on one bad review.
