I was very happy with my previous dentist but I had to change dentists when we moved to Marblehead. My wife thought Jerry was the best dentist she had ever been to.( My wife is not a fan of going to the dentist) Let me tell you Jerry is great ! He explained everything he was going to do and why this needed to be done. Jerry took the time to find out exactly what the problem with my tooth was and fixed it. I did not feel a thing ! He even provided stereo headphones connected to satellite radio so I could listen to the music I wanted to and turn up the volume to drown out the sound of the drill. Jerry even called my the next day to see if I was feeling alright. If you are looking for a dentist that cares about his patients and has a support staff that is very nice and accommodating. I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Zanni! I got braces in my fifties because I had excessive wear on my front teeth as a result of a malocclusion. After removing the braces, my orthodontist shortened my front teeth as the ends were paper thin, translucent, and chipped. They didn't look terrible after being shortened, but two years later I was still struggling to accept my new smile because the shorter teeth looked so different from the ones I'd had all my life. I mentioned this to Dr. Zanni and he took my concerns to heart and cooked up a plan to bond my front teeth to restore them to their former length, shape, and thickness. He did a beautiful job and I'm absolutely thrilled to have my old smile back. No more feeling crestfallen when I look in the mirror or see a picture of myself! He also heard my concerns that I wanted to take care to make sure no further damage occurred going forward; he did occlusal equilibration to distribute the forces evenly across my teeth. Dr Zanni and his team always take care of me, they really do go above and beyond. Switching to them a couple years ago was the best decision I could've made for my teeth. Dr. Zanni is fabulous— as a dentist, as a doctor, as a compassionate caregiver. New to the area, I had no dentist yet when a front tooth broke unexpectedly on a Sunday night. I found Dr. Zanni on google and called his emergency phone number. To my surprise, he answered after 2 rings and began helping me immediately, despite the fact that not only was I not a patient of his, but a total stranger. Although he was out of town, he offered to see me after office hours when he returned the next day. As promised, he met me at his office, took a meticulous cast of my teeth, and by Tuesday afternoon—less than 48 hours after my tooth broke—he had created a new one for me with dental bonding. It was such a perfect piece of work that you'd never know that the tooth had broken at all and that half of it was not my real tooth. I was relieved, impressed with his skill, and very grateful for his kind, swift, successful solution. When my brother retired from dentistry 20 years ago, we were faced with the challenge of locating a dentist in the North Shore since we didn’t want to make the commute to Medford (where he practiced) from Swampscott. Through my brother's professional network, it was determined that Dr Zanni was our best choice. I highly recommend Dr. Jerry Zanni in Marblehead who completely resurrected my teeth and gums, restoring my trust in Doctors. When I was a child our family dentist despised children and had no patience. I feared dentists, having read "Marathon Man" and watching Steve Martin in "Little Shop of Horrors". Dr. Zanni never judged me because its not in his nature. He showed great compassion and brought me to complete recovery and beyond. Dr. Zanni is very honest. He does not try, as a lot of dentists do, to sell you unneeded dentistry but he gives you reasonable specifics. Once, a dental hygienist suggested I have my wisdom teeth removed but Dr. Zanni said it was not necessary. That was consistent with his sense of honesty.
