Joe Wells

Dr. Wells performed what I believe to be successful surgery to remove two large hematomas near my bladder in early February. This caused major pain. When I left the hospital I received pain medication, which did not really help but manageable. At my f/u appointment, I was still in considerable pain, around a 7, I still had several pain pills and Dr. Wells told me and my husband that if I needed more pain meds to call and he would submit another prescription. Sadly, when I called for more pain meds, his nurse Kayla, refused repeatedly to offer anything, telling me that when someone had surgery, they were given an allotted number of pain meds, period, giving me the impression all patients were treated like peas in a pod. She told me that now I was to take Tylenol or similar. Remember my pain level is around a 7. She adamantly repeated that Dr. Wells would not offer additional meds because they don’t do that. Further she was in the room and Dr. Wells did not say that. This is NOT true as my husband and I specifically heard him. She repeated once again that they only gave a certain amount of pain med to each patient ~ in other words, she was equating each human being’s pain as being the same, regardless of surgery or other conditions (I am a two-time cancer survivor and need higher medication). Finally, after my husband again confirmed our conversation with Dr. Wells that he would give additional pain meds, the PA gave us 8 additional pills. I would not treat my dog like this knowing they were in such pain. I was also then referred to my GP for additional treatment. Really??? Most disappointing.

Very clear . I was used to Jobe and loved him. It seemed an easy transition. The office staff is wonderful

Dr Wells was a great doctor and took very good care of me. I certainly appreciate his expertise in his field.

Dr. Wells is one of the greatest and the best surgeon you’ll ever find he cares about his patients. He’s a very sweet person , I thank God for putting me in Dr.’s wells hands to be my Doctor for so many years.

Secretary's are nice the experience was positive all around.Doc had no problem answering all of my questions ????

The staff is courteous, friendly and kind. Dr Wells provides excellent service as a vascular surgeon.

The doctor was Thorough with his explanation of why my surgery needed to be done and how it was going to be done in the way his tone was nice and steady and soft and it was comforting to hear him talk give me the feeling of security that my life is in maybe the best hands of this doctor..

Dr. Wells performed two different procedures for my father with excellent results in both medical procedures. Dr. Wells is an excellent surgeon with a wide medical background.

The doctors and nurses are great and the staff is wonderful if you talk to them onsite, however they do not return phone calls. I have had multiple calls from last year and this year not returned.
