Dr Gonzales was very friendly and professional. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable with the acl surgery.

Dr Gonzales is the best orthopedic surgeon in the Denver area and one of the top surgeons nationwide. A skilled surgeon with a patient centric approach. Joel exhausts all non surgical options first. Can’t say enough good things about Dr Gonzales, his team all the Dr’s at OCC

Dr.Gonzales and his team have been great - wonderful staff. He was able to get me in for an appointment shortly after my accident and scheduled surgery a few days later. Surgery went well and am on the road to recovery.

Very efficient and friendly. Injection removed pain for about 36 hours, but then returned.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Efficient office with scheduling and pre check in. Dr Gonzales offers individual care and solutions that have met my individual needs.

Dr. Gonzales was knowledgeable, empathetic and took the time to answer my questions. The office staff was efficient and friendly and everything ran on time.

Dr Gonzales is an awesome surgeon! I can't express howthankful I am , his staff and him self are the best, no doubt ! To me he is the number 1 !

Dr. Gonzales has performed 4 reconstructive knee surgeries on my right knee, including ACL, MCL, and meniscus repair. I am athletic and continually injured my knee through various sports and after so much damage you might think I'd be out of the game. I'm leaving this review 10 YEARS LATER as I was on a challenging hike this weekend- climbing boulders, scuttling along narrow cliff edges, balancing over uneven terrain- and it hit me how lucky I am that I am still able to enjoy challenging recreational activities without pain or limitation. Dr. Gonzales is an exceptional doctor who has mastered his craft and it is truly a privilege to have been his patient, as my overall health and well-being would not have been the same without his dedication to my care and recovery. He has rebuilt my knee several times over, and his careful reconstruction has withstood the test of time all of these years later. Thank you, Dr. Gonzales!

Dr. Gonzales is the absolute best! I had my accident on a Saturday and I was able to get in for an appointment on Monday and he had me in surgery by Wednesday. Recovery has been going well and his follow up is great.

I recently got ACL reconstruction surgery with Dr. Gonzales & his team & had a very positive experience! Dr. Gonzales went the extra mile to make sure i was informed about all my options before surgery. He is thorough, efficient, & very caring! Orthopedic associates administrative and billing team was also really helpful in explaining my insurance benefits & discussing payment plans with me for surgery.

Dr Gonzales is incredibly personable, real, and an expert in his field. The surgical team was fantastic and ahead of schedule. Everyone treated me as a person and not just a number. Great after care as well. 5 stars all around.

Not only is Dr. Gonzales extremely knowledgeable and adept with surgery, he is also the friendliest orthopedic surgeon I’ve been to (and I’ve seen more than a handful). He is quick during follow-ups and evaluations, but that doesn’t detract from the thoroughness of info he provides. Moreover, if you get lost in all the information, or have questions he didn’t answer (unlikely), he’s more than happy to slow down and take the time you need to understand it. My spouse and I have had him do 4 surgeries combined on various soft tissues around joints (2x knees, 1x each elbow and shoulder), and we could not be happier with the results and his pre-, during, and post-surgery efforts to get us back doing the sports we love. I’d easily give him and his staff a 10/10 score as a physician.

Overall, excellent experience at every stage pre- and post- surgery for a torn meniscus. Dr Gonzales is an amazing surgeon, highly professional and personable. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family. I am grateful beyond words to Dr Gonzales and his staff.

I tore the my right shoulder rotator cuff and part of my biceps and Dr Gonzales and his staff did the surgery to repair it. I have to say that everything they did was absolutely awesome. Dr Gonzales and his staff treated me like a king. Awesome and knowledgeable people that I would recommend to anyone. Rarely have I seen such professionalism and care like what they provided me. Love that group, 5 plus stars!

Dr. Gonzales did great work repairing my rotator cuff and bicep tendon. Appointments were on time. Dr. Gonzales and his PA would speak with me about my concerns. Highly recommend.

I had previously been to Steadman - complete disaster - couldn’t even get them to send the MRI form for three weeks. Once MRI taken - steadman said PRP for fear of distal bicep no surgery. Immediately saw Dr. Gonzales - his PA did an assessment said 100% torn let me get doc - Doc came in agreed and said he could get me in three days and it should be repaired quickly. Did the surgery - his office has been great with follow up and Doc could not be a nicer guy. Post op visit was not rushed, explained rehab protocol asked me if I had any questions, how was my pain etc … very pleased and happy I found the doc

Dr Gonzales is an amazing surgeon. His expertise and experience in surgery helped me have a successful ACL replacement with little down time.

Dr. Gonzales is my go-to surgeon for orthopedic needs. He’s performed 2 ACL replacements for me in the past 6 years. His skillful knowledge and expertise provides confidence and trust for me as a patient. I highly recommend for anyone needing a. consultation or procedure.

I have had some issues with my shoulder (partially torn rotator cuff). He was very thorough with the exam of the MRI, and suggested PT and exercises to help with any pain. I expected to be told that I needed surgery, and he recommended that at this time it was not needed.

All of the staff were very professional. Would definitely recommend Dr Gonzales. All were very attentive.

I tore my ACL skiing. Dr. Gonzales was highly recommended from many people I worked with. They saw me within a few days of my accident and scheduled my surgery within a couple of weeks. Office staff is always friendly and accommodating. There was a scheduling mishap one day but they squeezed me in on arrival. There’s always a PA on call for post op questions and concerns. Dr. Gonzales and his entire staff has great bedside manner and very knowledgeable. Even when I mentioned flying home to a different state, Dr. Gonzales offered to research the area to find a surgeon for me. Every interaction in this office has been pleasant and incredibly helpful. I drove from Fort Collins to see Dr. Gonzales. After my experience with him and the entire staff I would strongly recommend their team for any of your needs. OCC is a great facility and Dr. Gonzales is a big part of why.

Dr. Gonzales is extremely professional. He was very detailed with his explanation of what my issue was and took the time to answer all of my questions. He could not have been more pleasant to deal with.

Dr Gonzales is both quick to answer questions (thoroughly) and understanding of how a knee injury specifically affects an active teenage boy. I appreciated the time he spent with me and my son.

Dr Gonzalez was amazing with my daughter. When we first came to him after a few shoulder dislocations he did not push surgery at all. When we finally needed to do the surgery he was also fantastic - pre and post op and she is now back to playing volleyball. Highly recommend!

Dr. Gonzales is a wonderful doctor. He did two ACL surgeries on my son in law so I went to see him when I tore my meniscus. He thoroughly evaluated my case, was a good listener and ended up prescribing physical therapy. He is a straightforward professional who is not always going to suggest surgery.

Joel clearly enjoys what he does and is passionate about repairing our injured bodies. His positive attitude and confidence is extremely beneficial to building trust and ultimately coming out of a procedure successfully. I feel fortunate to have experienced his skills twice. Thank you!

Doctor Gonzales is the best! I have been seeing him for many years, he has performed two surgeries on me one for my left rotator cuff and one for a distal tear of my left bicep. The result of both surgeries was exceptional. Doctor Gonzales also has taken care of several other injuries over the years that did not require surgery, currently helping me with knee injections for old injuries. Doctor Gonzales has also done several surgeries on my son with great results. We are a very active family and tend to jack ourselves upon a fairly regular basis. Orthopedic Associates has done a total of five surgeries on me so far over the last 23 years , I need both knees replaced soon and I will have those done there as well. Dr. Joel Gonzales is an excellent physician. He has been taking care of my tibial plateau fracture and amazing recovery for over 7 years. I am forever grateful that he chose not to do surgery after seeing the immediate fracture but instead chose to carefully guide careful healing ❤️‍ of the crushed bone. Having regained full use of my knee joint, I get annual joint injections to mitigate any possible arthritis and pain prior to ski season. Works like a charm. I am able to do all of the activities that I love, from downhill and water skiing to biking and hiking the mountains. I never would have guessed I could have recovered so well. Dr Gonzales is direct and to the point. He listened to what I wanted and we worked out which directions I could choose from. It went way more quickly that I thought it could have.

Dr. Gonzales was very friendly and helpful in coming up with a plan of action for my knee pain So that I continue to participate in all the activities I love. Everyone in this office is friendly and caring.

I cannot thank Dr. Gonzales enough for my surgery. From the beginning, he was thorough and answered all my questions leaving me comfort with my decision for surgery. My surgery felt like it took minutes as well as my recovery. It's been over a month and I feel like I didn't just have a surgery. Highly recommend!
