Joena R Chan

Last time i visited Dr. Chan, she was a bit rude and taken aback that i was healthy despite having low thyroid. She also didn't explain any future tests or the results of the tests that were taken. Also, she has no respect for her patients, before i turned an adult, dr. chan was fine with testing as a fasting blood draw every year. Now, every test i do is a fasting one, and it was never explained to me the reasoning behind it. Also, to boot, maybe one doesn't want too many blood draws. She didn't seem to respect that. Also i had to ask through the portal about my (now canceled) blood draw, because i wasn't sure if it was fasting or not fasting. i felt like more of a number.

Dr. Chan is exceptional. I've been seeing her for over 10 years. She listens well and I always feel like we are partners in my medical care. She's also willing to think outside of the box which I always appreciate. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a primary care physician in Orange County.

I have been a patient of Dr Chan for several years at her Monroe office. She goes out of her way to explain everything about the plan of care. She has always been professional & took the time to listen.

Dr. Chan is a smart, compassionate and wonderful caregiver who stays current on treatment methods and helps each patient create a plan to reach good health. Dr. Chan truly cares about seeing her patients live good and healthy lives, and she has helped me for some ten years now. No better care anywhere, she's the best.

Dr. Joena Chan is a caring, intelligent and thorough physician in every respect. I have been Dr. Chan's patient since I developed Type 2 Diabetes and she has been proactive, supportive and compassionate throughout. I honestly couldn't ask for a better general physician to place my overall care with. Any doctor's office is going to bog down in office work at times but the care I receive from Dr. Chan and the nursing staff at Horizon is top-notch. Dr. Chan goes above and beyond. She really takes a great deal of time with her patients. We put our trust in her and are never disappointed in the service we receive.

Dr. Chan is knowlegable and patient. She listens and asks the right questions to get the information she needs. It took several appointments for me to become comfortable with her but now I wouldn't see anyone else.
