My office visit was Great! Friendly staff!

Super nice and answers all the questions you may have.

I was very worried about my treatment today. I have been having horrible headaches since my last spinal fusion. I again went back to Michigan Pain with Dr Chatis at Forest Health in Ypsilanti. The doctor spoke calmly with me, explaining what he planed to do. I had a very bad headache going in. When I awoke, my headache was gone! Totally! What a relief, again! My thanks to Dr Chatis and his team of nurses for real comforting care.

It was a nice experience. Everyone was very nice

Dr. Chatas has been treating my spinal pain issues for several years. The treatments are spot-on and provide significant relief. He listens to understand and makes reasonable, thoughtful recommendations as indicated. The nursing and administrative staff at the Ypsilanti facility are top notch! Good visit, in and out. Smooth and painless

Visit was right on time. The nurses were Great. It was my first time there and explained everything and a run down on the complete visit. I certainly would recommend this facility for anyone interested.

I receive epidurals or racks in my lower spine performed by Dr. Chatas. He steps in and visits with me first to see how I am doing, what condition I'm in. All that to see how he is going to treat me.

Dr. John Chatas has done wonders for me. There was a time when I was literally crying just barely able to walk through the doors. But look at me now. It’s clearly he has helped me tremendously. Thank You so much Dr. Chatas.

Dr.Chatas, in addition to being a highly proficient practitioner, is also warm, caring and compassionate. At today’s appointment with him he was able to make adjustments to the administration of spinal shots that saved me a 1,000 mile round trip if it was necessary to reschedule. He also allowed me to begin taking medications that will ease my pain. He receives my highest commendation and recommendation. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice. They explained what was going on so I understood. Dr. Chatas was very informative of what he was going to do and what may need to happen later. He had a great sense of humor.

I just had my 1st pain injection with Dr. Chatas. It was and intercostal rib injection and was advised most get sedation. I still opted not to and his injections in between my ribs was still less painful than a dental injection. I couldn’t believe it was that fast and minimal pain. Dr. Chatas shows respect and intelligence when dealing with women. I'd been told an injection would go in one spot-. After he discussed the pain and numbness, he changed the procedure and thoroughly explained his reasoning once I inquired.

Dr. Chatas is GREAT!! I was referred here by my rheumy for help with my awful spine and SI joint pain. He listens, is easy to talk to, and maintains an atmosphere of dignity and respect. He is clearly focused on patient comfort. The procedure nurses are always very friendly and on top of things, and there's always someone who calls and *checks in* with me the next day. Dr. Chatas is a wonderful doctor. Without him, I would not be able to enjoy the things I love to. He definitely has helped the quality of life I have from having chronic pain, and I would highly recommend him. Professional, but yet, very down to earth and comfortable and will explain things.

Dr. Chatas combines excellence in knowledge and technique with real compassion for his patients. I’ve had both pain injections and The MILD Procedure performed on my back by Dr. Chatas…It is indeed, life changing! I wouldn’t trust my back to anyone else!

My wife is the patient. She gets incredible care. Dr. Chatas is always up on the newest techniques that have helped to decrease her pain and her medications. She has been with him about 19 years. He has been a blessing in her life. He knows her well and has a great keen grasp on what type of care she needs. He is the BEST!

Dr. Chats has been treating me for arthritis pain in my neck and pain in my occipital nerve. Dr. Chatas is very professional and caring and easy to talk to. I am glad that I chose him for the treatment of my pain.

I've seen John Chatas for many years now he's always attentive and caring! Plus most important my pain is less! I would not see any another doctor!!

Doctor Chatas and the people at Michigan Pain are some of the most patient centered medical staff that have ever treated me. I have had spinal pain for years with little relief. Doctor Chatas and his staff have significantly improved my quality of life.

It took me a very long time to find a good doctor. After a few years of searching. My first consultation with Dr. John Chatas I was impressed. And my first injection was even more impressive. Thank You Dr. Chatas!

DR CHATAS IS A VERY LIKEABLE DOCTOR. HE LISTENS TO YOUR CONCERNS AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTIONS. HE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND I WOULDN'T TRUST ANYBODY ELSE TO DO INJECTIONS.

I just love this place and ALL the staff!!! Super nice and can tolerate silliness when coming out of sedation lol really glad I was assigned to him!

On first visit everyone was kind, efficient and procedures went well. Dr Chatas was professional and explained everything. 6-26-20 I had a good 18 months of relief from my treatments here. I would recommend Dr. Chatas and the Michigan Pain Clinic to anyone who is suffering.

Dr. Chatas and the Heilman Center for Pain are very professional and have treated my back, legs and neuropathy for three years. The results have been better than I thought we could accomplish. The entire staff from check-in to prepping and the procedure are all very consistent. No surprises, just pain relief. I had Vertiflex surgery on my lower back after a few months of injections and analysis in 2018. The results are great. I also had Boston Scientific (SCS) Spinal Cord Stimulator surgery done to help with my neuropathy and all of the pain in my lower body. My results have improved my ability to do almost anything pain free. Golf, playing ball with the dog, shoveling snow, and working in the yard are all much more enjoyable. The staff make you feel very comfortable and the entire process is done the same way no matter which staff and personnel I have that day. No surprises which makes it so easy to get in and out of in a timely manner. Every member of the staff has made the process simple and I am thankful for that. I would recommend the Heilman Center for Pain and Spine Care to anyone that has chronic back pain. Have been with Dr. Chatas for about 9 yrs now, and would never go to anyone else. He has improved the quality of my life drastically with my chronic pain. He’s very comfortable, experienced and I trust him completely. Love his staff also!

I have been suffering from pain from a spinal cord injury for years due to an auto accident. I started seeing Dr. Chatas a couple of years after my injury. I’ve been to 2 other pain clinics and they all blew me off. So, I started to believing other doctors that it was all in my head, until I came here. The staff cares about you. For the first time in 5 years. I walked about a block with out the aide of my walker.

I've had epidurals in the past from other doctors that just didn't work. I was about to give up on finding a remedy to cease the chronic pain in my back, legs and feet when a friend recommended I go see Dr Chatas. Even though I had my doubts I gave Dr. Chatas a try, WOW I am so glad I did. Dr. Chatas and his staff are top notch, everyone is so polite and they care about the patients problems and care. After years of being in pain that is almost crippling most times it is a breath of fresh air to be able to just walk around the house better than I have in years. The only thing I wish I could change about this review is I wish I could give more than a five star rating for Dr. Chatas and his staff they deserve way more stars.

The Doctor is always friendly and makes you feel at ease. Furthermore, he listens to you and is genuinely interested in helping you with your pain no matter where or what the issue is. Wonderful staff as well from reception to discharge, everyone makes you feel like you are the only patient they have.

It took several weeks to get an appointment for my first visit with a PA to eval me. Another 6 weeks to have the injection. I realize it is because of the virus but pain in pain. And it was disconcerting when call backs were not answered in a timely manner. Also I had to hire transport for $100 because I could not expect a friend to sit in the car in the parking lot in 90 degrees to wait for me to have the procedure which took almost 2 hours. I feel drivers should be able to go home if they live close to the facility.

Very Professional and was everything I expected in a pain physician. He had lived up to his spectacular reputation, as I had done a lot of research on finding the right doctor, and I had.

Dr. Chatas is conscientious. He makes sure that he is acting within the law on prescriptions for controlled substances. He is also responsive to feedback, and answers questions clearly about pain management.
