Probably the best Cardiothoracic surgeon out there. His bedside manner is extraordinary, his knowledge and skill of the practice makes him the physician to visit if you're in need of surgery in his expertise.

I want to thank Dr. Doty for catching and issue that had been previously over looked. He is an AMAZING Doctor and always treats me with care and concern.

Dr. Doty and staff performed my Aortic surgery. I met him after the surgery, as I was transported from another state.. I’m a RN and all I can say is he is wonderful! Always answered our questions. Very kind. Felt safe. My husband and I have met with him twice now via Face Time. I felt like I was in his office. It was a frightening experience, but between his care and wonderful Intermountain Health Care, I couldn’t be more pleased. So happy he’s my surgeon

Had a great telehealth visit with Dr Doty! It was my first time meeting him, he is very professional, knowlegable, personable, kind, and considerate, and after a very busy morning (I had heard) too. If I end up having surgery in the future I will feel very confident with him as my surgeon!

We owe my husband’s life to Dr Doty! He met with us promptly and gave us realistic expectations about the CABG procedure he was headed in for. He didn’t act rushed and was very kind answering our questions. He has a great bedside manner and was easy to talk to. He did a perfect job and the wounds healed up nicely with no complications. Dr. Doty is a very knowledgeable and humble doctor. I was unable to be with my husband because of the covid-19, I was kept well informed and kept up to date. Dr. Doty came to our hotel to meet me and answer any questions I had prior to the surgery. Unfortunately my husband had a condition that could not wait for better times. I would recommend Dr. Doty to anyone who needs and excellent surgeon.

Doctor John saved my life Friday 15JAN2010. If it wasn't for his skill, I might have bled out from a torn aorta and failing aortic root valve.

Dr. Doty is a very caring person, and is so positive that it helped us to have confidence in him and feel that everything would be okay during my husband’s heart surgeries. I would definitely recommend him to others as a very qualified and skilled surgeon as well as a kind and positive person.
