Excellent doctor

Dr Dundon will be doing a second hip replacement on me soon. I find the OINJ staff to be personable and very receptive. Dr Dundon is just awesome. he gives me his full attention when I am with him and I never feel rushed. He is a incredible surgeon. I remember he came to follow up on me in the hospital late in the evening last time and I was his first case that day at Morristown. He said he just wanted to make sure I was doing ok and if I needed anything from him before he went home. I felt his compassion and empathy by that act of kindness. I would highly recommend him for hip replacements as well as the OINJ.

Had total hip replacement. Excellent bedside manner; explains surgery well; hardly no pain; very sympathetic and confident without being abrupt. Highly recommend him and he has many offices to choose from.

I saw Dr Dundon after a horrific hip replacement from another doctor. Not only was Dr Dunden willing to see me, as many doctors won’t once someone else has done your hip initially, but he and his whole staff were absolutely amazing in not only calming me down and explaining everything, but providing an absolutely incredible experience right through to and following the surgery. I had hardly any pain after the surgery, left the hospital within a few hours, it was a very small scar, and I am walking better than I ever have, certainly better since my fall and the awful surgery from another doctor, that Dr. Dundon was not only able to fix, but make me better than ever! I have honestly never felt so good and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with, did an amazing job and I truly recommend him without question wholeheartedly!

Had surgery with Dr Dundon. He is fantastic. Had several visits with him before and tried different approaches before surgery. He finally said I needed the surgery. Went well. Very kind and attentive physician. Recommend him highly.

Look no further. Did my left hip on Sept 8th…anterior procedure; 3 days later walking at a garage sale with a cane only using it as a precaution. Great bedside manor…listens and answers all your questions. Mary his PA is great and is I feel very comfortable with her as well. S huddling dual knee replacements in March 2022. I know I am in good hands with Dr. Dundon and the entire team.

Best doctor at listening, relaxing, explaining issue and treating a patient. I’ve had many doctor appointments and procedures and I’ve never had a doctor so good at all the important factors to treat me.

Dr. Dundon is an amazing surgeon. My father several years ago had his knee replaced by a different surgeon in central Pennsylvania at a very reputable hospital. Unfortunately his knee replacement became infected and required a total of six operations in an unsuccessful effort to get rid of the infection. Finally my father had reached the point where his prior surgeon only gave him a 5% chance of saving the infected knee. In other words, they were advising him to have an above the knee amputation. I knew that Dr. Dundon had successfully treated patients with similarly infected knees with good results. Long story short, my father had the infected hardware from his knee removed and a new knee replacement with impregnated antibiotics inserted a little over a year ago by Dr Dundon at Morristown Medical Center. 16 months later, my father is doing well with no signs of infection in his knee. Great job Dr Dundon and Morristown Medical Center!

Doesn't listen to your concerns just prescribes more medication. Makes you feel like your are not worth his time

Paid no attention to my concerns - I advised him I was still in pain after my TKR but he waved it away. Every time I mentioned I was still in pain he just prescribed more medications instead of physically examining me to get to the root cause. I had to go see another surgeon to get properly diagnosed that there was something wrong.

Bilateral Hip Replacement - not only is Dr. Dundon an amazing surgeon, he is a fantastic person. His true compassion and care for his patients is incredible. He not only goes the extra mile, he goes the whole distance with you and makes 100% certain you're better. I wish everyone who needs orthopedic surgery could see John Dundon.

I fell and dislocated and broke my hip. I had to be brought to a local hospital by ambulance during COVID 19. I was alone and in excruciating pain.My husband contacted Dr. Dundon's Sparta office, where his assistant, Lindsey called him immediately. He reviewed my x-rays and CT scan and had me transferred to Morristown Hospital where he met me that evening and operated successfully, doing a total hip replacement. Dr. Dundon spoke with me as soon as he got there, with concern and care. He said he knew I had to be in a lot of pain and he didn't want me to have to wait for the next day. I was so grateful! I went home the following day, walking without a cane and going up and down stairs with the cane. With some in home PT and then outpatient PT for a few weeks, I have resumed all my activities: hiking, biking, swimming, yoga, step aerobics, spin classes and now cross- country skiing! I will be forever grateful to Dr. Dundon for his expertise, wonderful bedside manner, and compassion.

Dr. Dundon is an outstanding surgeon with an incredible bedside manner. He listens, and you never feel rushed. He did my husband's Total Knee Replacement, he is the best. As an added bonus his office staff is very friendly, unlike a lot of doctors offices.

There are no words to describe of how good is Dr Dundon. I had my hip replacement at 11 AM in the morning and the next day i walked for 5 miles (Honestly, no exaggerations). It's been nine months since my surgery, I am 70 yrs old, and i feel like a new person.

This time last year I was in A LOT of pain. A different doctor told me that I had bone spurs and I could have surgery but it might not help. I decided to go for a second opinion and found Dr. Dundon and my life changed. From the first meeting with Dr. Dundon I felt a sense of comfort like he was a family member. Straight forward told me I needed a total hip replacement. At that moment I heard the ocean in my head, good thing my husband was there LOL. A few months later I was scheduled for surgery. Day of surgery again I felt comfort not nervous at all. I even danced into the operating room wanted to get the most out of the old hip. Dr. Dundon explained everything, Nursing staff amazing... I am now 9 months from surgery and he has changed my life. I resumed my normal activity after 2 weeks and am still getting stronger every day. I am the biggest Cheerleader for Dr. Dundon that I have referred 9 people to the amazing skills of Dr. Dundon and his wonderful staff.

I am current patient of Dr. Dundon and just had knee replacement surgery performed by him. I would highly recommend him to anyone that may be considering orthopedic surgery. He explains everything clearly and with no sugar coating or nonsense. He made a stressful experience much easier for me right from the start. And it isn't just him - the entire staff in his office, including his Physician's Assistant A.J., and the surgical center he used (Sparta) were simply awesome.

I just had a knee replacement done in September with Dr Dundon. All the nurses at the hospital raved about him. I am still in pt and progressing slowly. I would not go to anyone else for this surgery. Everyone said that his patients recover quicker than others. I truly believe he is the best!

Dr. Dundon is truly a skilled surgeon. He and his staff are all exceptional, caring professionals. I feel so fortunate to have had my two TKR s done by him. The entire experience could not have been better and the results have far exceeded my expectations.

I was told by many nurses and PT staff that Dr. Dundon was the best. Well, he is better then the best. His bedside manner was by far the best I have seen. When he came to check on my progress he brought his team with him. What a wonderful way for me to thank them for the great work they did on my hip replacement. Before surgery I was explained everything that was going to be done and when. So no surprises after surgery. There was no need to be afraid. Dr. Dundon and his staff made you very comfortable. And the nurses on the orthopedic ward in Morristown Hospital after surgery knew exactly what Dr. Dundon orders were. He is a very caring doctor and a wonderful surgeon. I would highly recommend him.

I had two knee replacements in one year! One in May and one in November of 2018. I cannot say enough praises about Dr. Dundon . From the moment I arrived in terrible pain in 2017 to the day of my surgeries, he has been an amazing, caring and compassionate doctor. He is the best! I have recommended him to so many people. I am truly thankful to God for having found Dr. Dundon.

Can't say enough good things about the experience I recently had with my knee replacement! Right from the start, Dr. Dundon and staff were professional, friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful. Had the procedure done at the Surgical Center in their building....another group of people who I can't say enough good things about. Would recommend Dr. Dundon and staff to anyone and everyone!

Dr. Dundon saved my mother's life twice, in two separate falls. He repaired a femur break and a hip replacement both times. There is no one else that our family would trust to repair her hips and legs; my brother is an orthopedic surgeon and has come to know and trust Dr. Dundon completely. Beyond his skill, Dr. Dundon is open-minded and very hard-working. After surgery, he is a strong advocate for his patients' best interests in rehabilitative therapy.

I blew a disc in my back and Dr. Dundon offered numerous alternatives of treatment & did not push surgery. He is one of the most empathetic doctors I have ever been too & never rushed our appointments. I had to see him numerous times for the pain & each time I was able to get an appointment right away. I utilized all of his recommendations/treatment plan & I now feel 100% better. I highly recommend Dr. Dundon and OINJ.

Dr. Dundon recently performed an anterior total replacement of my right hip and will be replacing my left hip in a few months. The surgery and recovery have exceeded my expectations! Dr. Dundon is an amazing surgeon who is talented, gentle, and easy to talk to. I recommend him highly.

I recently had total knee replacement, and I am so thankful that Dr. John Dundon was my surgeon. He is an excellent surgeon and very professional, but he is also understanding and caring. He is a good listener and takes time answering questions. He was/is concerned for my total recuperation period after surgery, including my PT. He is the full package - professional with a wonderful bedside manner. He is the best. I already recommended him to two other people who have knee issues

Excellent Doctor. Very kind and compassionate. His staff very thorough and the waiting time is minimal. I had full knee replacement in February 2018 and the recovery is wonderful. I was driving within two weeks to go to follow-up appointment. Dr. Dundon is the best.

I have seen Dr. Dundon on a couple of occasions and he is the most sympathetic doctor I have ever seen. He really cares about his patients and is not in a rush to just do surgery. I have recommended him to many of my friends and I feel I could trust him 100%.

Dr. Dundon instills a feeling of confidence to his patients. My two knee replacements (each had their own unique problems) could not have had a better outcome. Recovery time was surprisingly short, with range of motion beyond my expectations! I can not be more enthusiastic in recommending Dr. Dundon to anyone needing knee replacement surgery.

Dr. Dundon, Rose and the entire staff at the Hackettstown location have been wonderful to me. I came in as a first-time patient with a serious injury to my knee. I honestly can not say enough about Dr. Dundon and his staff. I have never been to an orthopedist surgeon who takes the time to really talk to you about your problem. Dr. Dundon explains everything, asks if you have any questions or concerns and if so, he really spends the time answering. I have never felt rushed. His staff... amazing! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the front desk, to the nursing staff and Dr. Dundon's PA, you will find yourself relaxed! Excellent choice!

He was very pleasant yet businesslike. He was easy to talk with and he explained everything about my problem and put me at complete ease. I was nervous about seeing him but left the office completely relaxed and confident that I am in good hands.

I was not an "easy" case....my knee had been shattered by trauma, and after 3 surgeries...it was still not good. A knee replacement was the answer. I asked around A LOT, and everyone I talked to said check out Dr. Dundon....he is the best. I agree he is the best! He and his staff, took on my knee replacement, explained the entire thing to me, and answered my MANY questions....coached me along through the process, took great care of me before, during and after. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS!

Dr. John Dundon is the best! He is professional, compassionate and a fantastic surgeon. I would travel across the country to have him perform my surgery!

Doctor Dundon is a great doctor. I had to have some follow up surgery on my leg and was very nervous. He was very understanding and spoke to me in a manner that I understood. He was upfront with everything and if I had a question, I called and it was answered right away. He really cares about his patients.

I am very pleased with the outcome of my knee replacement ..Dr. Dundon is a very caring and is an excellent surgeon. He takes his time explaining everything to you he listens. No question or concern are to small.. I will be scheduling to have the other knee done shortly. The staff as well are always reading and willing to help. Appointments are scheduled fast as well. The waiting time to see the doctor is usually right on time. Thank to all for making this surgery a good experience.

Had knee replacement surgery five days ago. Feeling great, up and around with minimal pain. Dr. Dundon is the best!
