Dr. John A Finn

First time here asked before we looked at glasses if we could after I made an appointment to just see they’re style of glasses and if I could find something I liked. They weren’t helpful they were almost annoyed we came in most places you can just browse. Then they pretty much asked us to leave bc there was “ppl with actual appointments.” We got glares the whole time and we felt uncomfortable so we left. Definitely would take your business elsewhere if you’ve never been here before and I’ll be canceling my appointment. Based of others reviews they’ve experienced rudeness as well

My son now goes here he seems to like it he getting new glasses cause he has to have primins in them which hes had all his life

Excellent and professional service. Dr. Finn is very knowledgeable and skilled. I trust him with all of my vision issues. He knows what he is doing!

So the receptionist is super rude and disrespectful there and wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to go there. I called there today to check on getting a safety pair required by my work and she was so rude with my questions and didn't gelp me at all so I will definitely find a new eye Dr.

Will never take my family to this business again. The woman there is always rude. I drew the line at being talked to like a child. Shame on my need for another frame and bringing more business to you. We will not be treated like an inconvenience. Even picking out a frame was very unpleasant.

Dr Finn and his team are great. My whole family goes to Dr Finns office. His staff is great when it comes to ordering contacts and glasses for me and letting me know my best options with my insurances. I still go to him even after moving a bit further away.

After a head on car accident I went in because I saw flashes and floaters in eyes. (air bags deployment). He said it was vitreous gel separation due to ageing... A few weeks later, I started to see black dots rt eye. This time, I went to Lansing opt., they saw a retinal detachment in rt eye and tears in left. I immediately had emergency surgery in rt eye. And laser surgery in left @ post op. Subsequently a cateract forms because of gas in eye from retinal surgery. That was my last surgery months later. I wish... The doctor was great, all of his help was miserable though. I recently had to change optometrists because of a change in my optical insurance. I didn't mind Doctor Finn one bit, but his secretaries and his assistant were horrendous. Unhelpful, rude and short. If I wasnt desperate for a pair of glasses, I would have got up and walked out. Saw Dr. Finn today. I had a swollen eye (turns out it's a tear in the cornea) and needed it checked asap. I thought he could've used some more people skills and simply asked how my day was going, what was up, and such, but he didn't. He looked at the very short description from the receptionist and went off that instead of asking me details. So when he finally looked up and asked if I wear contacts (I was in glasses when I went in), and I said yes, he laughed at me and said "well I need to know that". He laughed again over a couple other things, but never asked me my story and didn't explain what he saw going on in my eye. I barely got the "damaged cornea" out of him. Pretty much all I heard was the instructions on how to use the drops he prescribed. I know he could've been super busy today, but I feel like he didn't have time for me. I should've paid attention to the other negative reviews, but I thought since it was a one time deal I would check him out. Just wanted to share my experience.
