Dr. John Mark Griffies

In 2019 I was a patient of Dr Griffies, and wasn’t able to continue treatment due to personal reasons. Called him today because I knew he’d have my xrays on hand. The phone call was roughly 16 minutes and he spoke with me about new potential treatments that I’d have to get done at other facilities. Even though his business couldn’t treat me for what I was searching for, he still spent his time speaking with me and helping me navigate options I could pursue elsewhere. Dr Griffies seems to be in it for the love of his career and helping people, and not just for making money. I’d recommend his office to anyone searching for a genuine experience with genuine people.

He was very kind and professional. The office was clean and the staff were warm and welcoming. We have visited other clinics but we will be sticking with this one.

Just had my braces put on in my mid thirties, after not wearing my retainer when I was younger. I have been very impressed by the staff at Dr. griffies they are kind, professional, and welcoming. It has been a great experience.

Just a little back story, I went here as a teen. I ended up moving from Fayetteville to Winston Salem. I liked my Orthodontic office so much that I would make the drive. I got my braces off at 17. I have had permanent retainers for 11 years now!!! My teeth are beautiful! Having the permanent retainers put in was the best thing that could have happened. Every single person I spoke to at this office was so polite and professional. Even when I made the appointment the gentleman on the phone was so nice. My kids are still quite young and the orthodontist was so patient with them! He told jokes and made them feel completely comfortable. The nurse/assistant? was so sweet too. I loved everything about our visit and so did my kids. The office is very clean and decorated so cute. Thanks for the great experience! Dr.Griffies and staff are professional and friendly, front desk staff Kyle and Wendy and friendly and professional as well.

If you live in the Fayetteville area and need braces, Dr. Griffies' office is the place to go! Dr. Griffies and his staff are so kind and helpful. A friend recommended his office to me and I could not be happier with how my teeth turned out after braces. Highly recommend!

Love everyone at the office! Dr G sent a handwritten note to my son after our first visit, it was not form letter either. He remembered our conversation and wrote encouraging thoughts for him. Highly recommend Dr G and staff!

Dr. Griffies provides excellent customer service and care for his patients. My husband and two of my children have braces through this practice. We would not consider going anywhere else.

Talked to them many many times for 3 yrs. First referral received from dentist, I called to verify they received it. They said they did after in hold for over 30 minutes waiting got them to find it. They explained the long wait time to get in to be seen. I let them know I understand and we were willing to wait. I never heard from them and called back (after it had been over time period what the said time it would take to get in). The person they answered could not find any trace of our referral. I asked yo speak yo a supervisor. They put me on hold an finally talked to someone that said they were a supervisor. I explained I had called to verify they received the faxed referral from our dentist and I also had a copy and I was told they did get it repeating info from the referral page. So I knew they had it. I also explained that I was told about the waiting list and the lengthy wait to be seen. The supervisor said they could not find it. I then gave the date and the person I talked to the first time. I was placed back on hold, to be told nothing could be found. I told them I would send another fax if the referral, to be told because it was a trial old they would need another updated one. Smh. I called the dentist office explained it to the person and they said they would get another one dated that day faxed and they would mail me the original to kerp. When it was faxed, my dentist office called to let me know it had been faxed. I called to verify Dr Griffins office had received this one. I was told it had just been received. Again they verified info on the form, so I knew they had to have it. This time I decided to call every 6 months to see how waiting list looked. The 6 month mark came and I called. The person I talked to checked on it got me, said they had the referral form and it would probably be another 6 months before they could get child in. (I also want it to be known this child had two dental insurances to cover the work, which I was sure would pay for it all) I waited a little more than 6 more months. After never getting a call, I called again to check. Can you believe that now there was nothing showing they ever had a referral again!!!!! I had heard Dr Griffies was one of the best from many. Although it would be a longer travel time from our home than others may have been, I felt it would be worth it. This child had enough in their lifetime and deserved the very best! I again called the dentist and got a referral. Doing everything over again....checking, verifying(yes they got it), etc all of a sudden they did not have it Sharon. Was even told it must have gotten lost. Never ever got a phone call from them for over 3 + years! It was not fair for a child to have to go through all this and the roller coaster everyone was on when ‘it got lost’ every time! This child had been preparing for braces since 7 yrs old with several major dental surgeries due to misalignment and other issues an orthodontist needed to handle. Now ready to start high school the next school year, I had to find another orthodontist. I am not sure why this was done to us? I could speculate, but I prefer not to. Even though I asked for the Dr. to call me (left messages 4 times) , I never ever received a call from the Dr. I just know this is not the way to do business. Prayers for all God bless PS we have gorgeous alligned teeth now thanks to our child’s dentist Dr McGibbon and our orthodontist (that God led us to after I prayed about what to do-drive to my dr appointment to see the orthodontist office I had never seen before next to it) Dr Nelson. He and His staff are Great!!! Better than Great! He did excellent work! They are very friendly and professional! They got us in quickly with no issues, like loosing the referral. Love working with him! Called me the very first week I got my braces and asked how everything was going. Never have I ever had a doctor do that!! Great people and very awesome team to work with!! I would for sure go here!!! Very laid back????
