Dr Kilgore and Chris are 2nd to NONE!! They are amazing. This is my second knee replacement. Dr Kilgore did my Rknee in 2019. They told me at that time I have 6 months to 2 1/2 yrs left on my Left. So spot on. Please if you ever need a knee replacement go to the BEST. Dr. Kilgore and his PA Chris. Can not say enough about them..

It is ALWAYS a great experience with Dr. John Kilgore, and his Physycian's Assistant, Chris Edelman for appointments or procedures.

Arrived a few minutes late, first time visit. Admin desk greeted me took my id cards to copy. Waited another 2 minutes then taken in for weight and height. Went to X-ray waited maybe 4 minutes then X-rays done. Then into exam room 22 minutes wait until Dr Kilgore entered, greeting; then I shared briefly my purpose in my visit. My first impression of Dr Kilgore was wonderful, kind and caring, a good attentive listener and seemingly very skilled, competent and confident surgeon. He had the X-rays on his iPad and thoroughly and clearly showed me my problems in my right knee and also in left knee. He carefully explained with technology of X-ray image and iPad how the procedure would be done. I feel very comfortable and happy I took my friend’s recommendation to see Dr Kilgore. I will have right knee done late June 2023; then later in year left knee. I am thankful and believe that this practice has an incredible spirit of excellence in all they do Thank you

Just had my initial visit with Dr Kilgore who was professional, patient and knowledgeable. He took his time explaining the procedure and drew on my X-ray where the bones would be resurfaced and capped with metal. I am very excited for my Surgury and found everyone to be very caring and competent. Great practice!

Wonderful Dr including his staff! The entire experience was wonderful! Dr Kilgore is amazing! So kind and a great bedside manor. Dr Kilgore did a total hip replacement for me. I’ve had a few surgery’s in my days and this was the easiest recovery ever! Mine was done in the outpatient surgery center. I was home within a few hours of surgery. I was able to go upstairs that evening to bed! Truly amazing and quick recovery. I would recommend him 100%. God Bless Dr Kilgore for giving me back my quality of life.

Dr Kilgore replaced my left knee 3 weeks ago. I could not be happier with the whole experience. Everyone involved, from the PA, and the surgery coordinator to the physical therapist were knowledgeable, accessible and unfailingly professional. Recovery has been easier than I ever thought possible. My only regret is that I waited so long to get this done. I highly recommend Dr Kilgore for robot-assisted knee replacement.

Not sure if this is the visit that they wanted reviewed, but Dr. Kilgore and his staff are without peer. If you want the very best to do your knee replacement then this is the Doctor that you want treating you. He's personable and listens to you, answers your questions and just did my full knee replacement. Second in 90 days

Dr. Gilgore is very pleasant and spebt a lot of time explaining to me how the hip surgery is done, recoery time etc.

Dr Kilgore is an excellent doctor and the entire surgical process has been amazing. Today’s wait time was rather extended (90min delayed) and it’s been the only negative.

My visit today with Dr Kilgore was great, the staff was very good. My options were explained in detail and I hope the treatment I started on will take care of the problem with my knee.

Just had 2nd total knee replacement with Dr. Kilgore. He did my first one in 2019. I have experienced super results from both with knees that feel and work better than they did 20 years ago!! I had my normal check in procedure, X-rays, and To My COMPLETE SURPRISE in walked Dr. Kilgore. Need I Say More. Total knee replacement. Saw the doctor once before surgery, and today at 5 month post op. His PA refused to refer me to physical therapy which caused delayed healing and scar tissue. Two months post surgery my primary doctor stepped in and I started physical therapy which got me off of a cane. The PA did all post op appointments until today. The PA also prescribed medication which if he had checked the pre surgery blood work he would have never prescribed Celebrex for someone with that high kidney levels. I went to this doctor because two friends did and had the same surgery, both got physical therapy two weeks after and have healed much faster. Total ball drop twice, nothing but excuses made. Be prepared also to wait over an hour and twenty minutes at the least for any appointments, they never run on time. I’m really stunned at the good reviews they have, but have seen more accurate comments on Health Grades.

I have been seeing Dr. John Kilgore and his PA Chris Edelman for over 5 years for knee pain. After a series of injections & Covid delay I finally had a knee replacement. The skill, care, and personal interactions have been top notch.

Dr. Kilgore and his entire staff are efficient, kind and extremely helpful in every way. I am so happy that I went to this office and look forward to my life improving with Dr. Kilgore's help for my knees.

I have had both hips replace by Dr kilgore. We've been together for 13 years. He's amazing and I make sure all of my friends and family see him for their hip needs. He always makes himself available to me and his work is impeccable. I can't say enough good things about him. He should be rated number one in his field.

Office is great! Very organized, Staff Is pleasant, and professional. One stop shopping-tests/scans, office visit and shots if needed. The cortisone I dreaded did not hurt. Dr Kilgore is THE best of the best. He’s the reason I made the appointment.

I arrived a few minutes early for my first visit to see Dr. Kilgore for hip replacement and was received right away and the entire staff did their jobs quickly and efficiently. Dr. Kilgore explained every detail to me and answered all my questions and doubts. I felt very confident and relieved to finally start the surgical process.

I have had two total Knee replacements done by Dr. Kilgore. The right knee in 2010 using computer assist alignment and the left knee done in 2018 using MAKO robotics…both are working fine. The difference is that the robot assisted operation resulted in more bruising and pain, as a result the recovery was longer. My wife just, four weeks ago, had one knee replaced by Dr. Kilgore using the robot and she is experiencing the same thing. There should be no need to pay an additional $500.00, not covered by insurance, for the robot when a more pain-free procedure can be performed manually.

The doctor is very good but the office staff is very uncooperative.

Dr. Kilgore always takes the time to explain one's issues and therapeutic considerations in an understandable context . He is personable while at the same time being necessarily time efficient but at the same time I have never felt rushed during my time with him. I have only interacted with him from a nonsurgical standpoint.

Pain was manageable with acetaminophen. Was walking over half a mile in a week, without a cane.

I had three surgeries done by Dr Kilgore in 2009, all within sixteen weeks. Both hips and the left knee were replaced. I recently had them checked and all are still in excellent condition 10 years later. Dr. Kilgore made small incisions and I had very little pain with the hips, the knee is more pain, but I was walking immediately with all three using crutches. I have done heavy work the past ten years and all my replacement joints are fine. I would recommend Dr. Kilgore 100% He is excellent.

Had TLKR 7-25-18 with Dr. Kilgore who is first-class. Morton Plant Hosp experience was excellent. 2 week post-op follow up with Chris, PA was less than expected. Waited 2 hours and then Chris didn't seem receptive to my feedback as I'd had a lot of pain with my knee. I left feeling like just another number in their production line of follow-up appts. Felt very insignificant. Having been in the medical field for 35 years myself, making a patient wait 2 hrs past their appt time is unacceptable and inconsiderate. I'd suggest Dr. Kilgore have more than 1 PA to handle his patient load. Or hire a good practice management consultant to help them improve their patient scheduling and appt. flow. I'm 53 and had my knee replaced by Dr Kilgore 17m ago. Surgery and recovery went better than expected. Have been jogging for over 6 months and playing lite soccer pain free. Great experience.

Dr. Kilgore replaced my hip four years ago and damaged my sciatic nerve (as shown on an emg test conducted by my neurologist). I am in constamt severe pain ever since that surgery. Following the surgery I had severe tremors in ny right leg that suggested nerve damage. When I reported that to Dr. Kilgore he said that I was fine even though as a surgeon he must have known that nerve damage is a possible problem and there are surgical techniques to prevent this damage that should have been done

How I wish we had known of Dr. Kilgore before the 2 surgeries I had on one knee! Things are slow because of what I've gone through but so pleased with results so far. He is exceptionally patient, honest and caring. I liked him being upfront and all his associates I rate as 10 or above.. His nurses are so caring and when I call they answer. God Bless them all.

I was sent away from the doctor's office because they didn't have the "proper" insurance information. I rescheduled after I supplied them with the proper information. When I came back I had to wait for 1 hour and 40 minutes to be seen. The entire office emptied out before I was told I would be next. A woman came in after that and then she was called. When I called the next day to complain I was told that they had many doctors and that the person I was talking to did not know which doctor the woman was going to see. She gave one excuse after another and did not acknowledge any wrong doing on their part. I also mentioned that the last two appointments that I had with them I had to wait for more than an hour and she said yes that is just the way it is. You have to wait that long even to see the PA. I was sent away from the doctor's office because they didn't have the "proper" insurance information. I rescheduled after I supplied them with the proper information. The doctor is fine but be prepared for a 45 - 60 minute wait in the main waiting room and then an additional 30 minute wait in the patient room before seeing the doctor. Appointments​are booked out at least 6 weeks.

I could not be any more impressed with how everything was handled at Morton Plant Hospital yesterday for my hip replacement surgery. From start to finish everybody was extremely professional and most notably in very good moods. Dr. Kilgore is an unbelievably skilled surgeon. I seriously appreciate that they are at the forefront of technology with this procedure. My pain level literally never went above zero and I was walking with a walker very quickly after the procedure. I could not be more grateful that I came to this Hospital to have this procedure done. Excellent experience with Dr. Kilgore and his team. Had a right hip replaced three weeks ago. It was virtually pain-free after the procedure. Able to transfer from walker to cane on day five. Walked into my two week office visit post surgery with no cane. They said I was doing excellent. I Just have to take it easy for another couple of weeks before get back into my routine. I would highly recommend this orthopedic surgeon and his team.

Dr. Kilgore was a very nice man and explained everything very clearly. The office staff was very efficient and even though it appeared when I walked into the waiting room that there were alot of people waiting, I was called back right at my scheduled appointment time. Had additional x-rays taken, met with Dr. Kilgore, had cortisone shots in both knees and was on my way an hour later.

Dr. Kilgore did a full right knee replacement many years ago and i have not experienced any problems at all. I was so pleased with the outcome I scheduled an appointment with him to see if he could help me with my back pain. He recommended Dr. PIGEON who did a magnificent operation. This group is a fully functional team and would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Kilgore and staff are fantastic. He did a total knee replacement for me on April 27, 2016. I can walk with a walker very easily and soon will not even need assistance. A different surgeon replaced my left knee 2 years ago and I still have problems. I highly recommend Dr. Kilgore.

Great experience with Dr Kilgore. I felt comfortable and at ease. He explained to me the cause and treatment for my issue. Also his PA Chris, is the same way. Puts you at ease and is very easy to speak with.
