Mr. Robert Leonard Vollbracht

Here is what you have to consider about anyone Dr. Vollbracht treats, generally they have failed everything else. Meaning, these patients are usually in tremendous pain, (often on multiple pain meds) and suffering chronically. Their PCP hasn't provided relief. so they are sent to truly one of the most respected headache / pain specialists in the country. As someone who's had the opportunity to shadow Dr. Vollbracht on several occasions, where he was presented with chronic pain patients (some on upwards of ten or more meds and still suffering), he wrote protocols that both, successfully detoxed AND relieved the patient's pain. THAT IS SKILL & EXPERIENCE. Does he have some of the worst 'dad', ie corny jokes?..Uh, YES. But he's incredibly intelligent, and hands down where I'd go first with a difficult case.

Dr. Patel is a fantastic doctor who treated my father in the ICU at Morton Plant. I called to make a follow up appointment, and just inquired more information. The receptionist or nurse who I spoke with on the phone was very rude, and was not willing to help. They also left me on hold at one point for 45 minutes. I think basic phone etiquette & empathy are part of working for a doctor, and I am very disappointed that if they were unable to help that they would decide to be rude as obviously my family is dealing with a lot at the moment. Having suffered with migraines since the age of 9, Dr. Vollbracht was the very first neurologist to actually explain the mechanism of migraine headaches. He was truly amazing in his approach to assist me with my pain and attempted many treatment plans, including Botox. Dr. Vollbracht was so gentle yet quick in administering the 30 some odd injections. It was painless and I was impressed! He even gave me nerve blocks which proved to be effective. I'm so saddened by his retirement, but glad that he will have the time to enjoy his life doing what makes him happy. I was extremely fortunate to be his patient for as long as I had been. Dr Vollbracht is a caring individual as well as a good neurologist. He listens well and truly cares about his patients. His entire team are the best.

I have had the worst experience with this place. I had made my first appointment back in November of 2018 to be seen by Dr. Vollbracht on December 6th 2018. I called the week of the appt to confirm that they still had me coming in that day, and the receptionist let me know that they had cancelled my appt because the doctor was out of town, and they didn't even call me to let me know. I had to be worked in the day after I found out this news and I still didn't even end up seeing Dr Vollbract, I saw one of the nurses. I met with the nurse and she had me fill out paperwork to send to my insurance company for the Aimovig- she also told me I would get a call back from one of the nurses within a week to send me my medication and that a nurse would make a house call to show me how to do the injectable on myself. None of this happened!! This office has given me the worst experience and I will not be coming back. I had to call several times to get an update on my medication status, and each time nobody knew what I was talking about. I have had to do everything on my own- I had to call Walgreens Pharmacy on my own and ask where the medication was. I have been charged twice now for this medication. It has been over a month and I still don't have the Aimovig, I will be getting it January 9th ( a whole month later than what I was told). I was told by the pharmacy to call the neurology office and have one of the nurses drive out to my house to show me how to give this medication to myself, so that's what I did. The receptionist told me that they do not make house calls and that I had to call Aimovig itself and ask their people to come out and help me (I was not told any of this at my appointment so I feel like I was lied to). I called the Aimovig company myself and explained the situation and they told me that they cancelled the house call service this month and that I can just watch YouTube videos on how to give myself this drug. Even though giving myself this drug might be really easy, that is not the point I am making. This is totally unacceptable, this was a big waste of my time and I will not be going back to this neurology office again- I was lied to constantly and not given the correct information. Dr. Vollbracht is an incredible neurologist and an expert at what he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering from migraines.

One of the most intelligent doctors I have ever met. I am so blessed to have been treated regularly by Dr. Vollbracht and his right hand woman Darlene. He has gone up and beyond helping me work through my complex medical conditions and helped me to manage them to the best of my ability. I will always be so very grateful for Dr. Vollbracht going above and beyond to get treatment approved by my insurance company for my severe migraines. My pain affected my quality of life and I was just miserable. He worked diligently to find solutions and the past few years have been just short of miraculous..thanks to his perseverance! His staff are also so positive and understanding...Dar and Robin! People who say this office is a mess......are absolutely nuts!!! It is BUSY, because HE IS BUSY HELPING SO MANY PEOPLE - including me!! This man has kept me free of headaches for months. They were totally debilitating. In addition, he has a WONDERFUL physician's assistant who is not only smart and compassionate, but she will work me in the SAME DAY when I'm so sick with a headache I can hardly stand up! I leave pain free. IGNORE the couple bad reviews here - this man is a lifesaver!!!

Excellent physician. His staff is wonderful. Very compassionate. I have used him forever and have always been impressed with not only his skills but his staying current with treatments available.

The office is a mess. So after all the turmoil of the staff not being present due to a 'Pharma' representative delivered breakfast,the debacle of the follow up appointment purposely made with the wrong doctor and the billing office over charging me $134.78 (I called to rectify it and not return phone call was made. No follow up by the office) Dr. Robert L. Vollbracht, M.D. has discharged me. With this is my discharge from my vascular doctor, Dr. Eric Lopez de Ville (Brain aneurysm dr.)

Dr. Volbracht has helped my migraines. I still have one every once in a while but they are way less than they use to be. He is not a warm and cuddly type of Doctor but he knows his stuff.

Dr. Vollbracht basically saved my life. Living for 28 years with the most painful condition know to medical science, Cluster Headaches, I have now been totally free of them for approx 4 years now. This was directly due to Dr. Vollbracht's treatment. For all those years I was a guinea pig for medications and treatments that NEVER helped at all. The good doctor restored my life in 2 visits. I could never thank him enough for what he's done for me.
