Dr. John Martin Lasak

I’m completely surprised by his low stars. I was referred to Dr. Lasak for a possible second opinion. I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia but have a long history of ear infections and was hoping it would be something more simple. I wished so deeply it would be an issue with my ear and not TN. He agreed with my neurologist it was not an ear issue. I cried like a two year old to a point I should be Embarrassed! I was being completely hysterical and he was so patient. He offed me a sticker as a way to help me laugh. I appreciate that humor in the face of my perceived devastation. His bedside manner was really amazing. He then went out of his way to help with names of neurosurgeons to keep in mind. I do not understand the other negative reviews. My experience was so much appreciated. He was the most wonderful doctor I’ve encountered. He was extremely competent in his knowledge. He did not tell me what I wanted to hear; he told me what I needed to hear. Dr lasak is an amazing doctor. My son has special needs and our hometown ent tried 3 times to place tubes in his ears. He sent me to Dr lasak saying. “He is the best of the best” He was right. Dr Lasak was very caring. He said my sons ear canals were the smallest he’s seen. My son has autism and with covid won’t wear a mask. His office was so kind. They called my cell and let us enter through the side door straight to a room. He’s always very kind and patient with him. He’s seen every 6 months and I’ve never been anything but happy with our visits.

Dr Lasak was uninterested from the beginning. Inferred that my issues must be psychological since he couldn't figure it out. I drove a very long way to be very disappointed

Dr. Lasak has treated my daughter for 8 years now. She has had 2 surgeries with Dr. Lasak and continued care over the years. The staff are wonderful and always remember my daughter and take their time when we have questions. I highly recommend him to anyone.

I wish there were negative stars to give here. Dr. Lasak is a doctor, not God. He halfway does surgeries only to have the patient come back for another surgery so he can pad his pocket. He’s been short with my wife and my daughter and I don’t think he cares about anything but money. His office is so disorganized and you couldn’t get paperwork from them if you wanted to. I think he’s a con artist. I don’t know whether to contact the AMA, or the state medical board, or the better business bureau.

Didn't care to hear anything I had to say about my condition. Scheduled an MRI because he incorrectly thought I had MS. Waste of $1400 and time worrying about a false "diagnosis".

We went to visit Dr Lasak today, and we could not fault the service...the receptionists were most helpful and friendly...which started everything well. The Nurse was engaging and listened to all details and handed us three articles about both my condition and the possible pros and cons of each treatment option. All testing was explained and completed with a minimum of fuss. Finally Dr Lasak explained all the possibilities and suggested a watch and wait approach at this time...even showed and explained the MRI pictures. All in all the best visit possible. Dr. Lasak is a jerk!! He runs patients through his office like cattle. All he cares about is making his money. He is closed off and doesn't listen to the patient at all. He did a Baja implant on me. The implant wad infected for 2 years. All he kept doing was throwing me on different antibiotics which none worked. He was actually mad at me when I told him he was going to take it out. Dr. Lasak is a jerk! Dr. Lasak is not worth even 1 star.

Very good doctor, they will go out of their way for the patients, not too thrilled with the way they treat parents of patients

I absolutely love him and all of his nursing staff! They have been so wonderful to me and helped me through all of the unexpected crazy outcomes of all of my doctors appointments! I absolutely love all their allergy nurses, they have made me feel extremely comfortable getting allergy shots, as well as easy to talk to, and walk you through every little step of the way! I would recommend them to anybody! I absolutely love him and all of his nursing staff! My husband got mastoiditis and was in the hospital . Our Doctor sent us to him upon leaving our local hospital to go to Wichita to see dr. Lasak. The whole experience was wonderful upon arriving . Everyone was very helpful and courteous . We loved dr. Lasak and his whole staff. We went back a week later for follow up appointment and once again wonderful. Highly recommend this dr.

He seems not to have the time of day to answer your questions or concerns/needs. He got short with me snapping at me that it was going to cost me more. Really! He failed twice to read the instructions from a letter that addressed my on going issue. I have asked for my paperwork so I can have them for my records and he has never given them to me. I ask this because in this process somehow the paperwork is missing in the last two years.
